This is very moving for me. I spent many years at Tiny Moore Music, with Tom as my teacher - I was a student at this time. I remember that room so well and would sit in the chair Tom was sitting in at the start of this video. I knew I was in the presence of giants then, but as my musical vocabulary has expanded, that appreciation has grown immensely. I would like to add that these were some of the most honorable people I have ever known as well. Tiny was always such a kind gentleman, and Tom was a mentor who made such an impression on me as a teenager back then...a dedicated, brilliant musician, but never impatient, never a wasted word on profanity, a real hero. These people here were/are the real deal. Huge appreciation.

One of the greatest mandolinists in American history. It’s so great that this video has surfaced.

Tiny Moore and Jethro Burns, in my way of thinking, are the best mandolin players of their time.

That C string on Tiny's mandolin sounds as big as a house. Pulling tone is an understatement

This is great to see...He was my mandolin teacher in the 60's, first at Jack's house of music, and then at his own music store down the road on El Camino ave.. I never knew what al legend he was in blue grass, jazz, country til later on.

The difference in tonal quality between the higher lower strings makes it soind like two mandolins.

Not that we know of. This is all there is in the film archives.
