  • Episode 33: WWF Attitude (Playstation)
WWF Attitude is a professional wrestling video game based on the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) released by Acclaim Entertainment in 1999 for the PlayStation and Nintendo 64. A slightly enhanced port of the game was later released for the Dreamcast, as well as a handheld version for the Game Boy Color. The game is named after the slogan of WWF's marketing campaign at that time with the tagline "Get it!"

One the most awkward crowd chants is instead of them saying "Rocky Rocky Rocky" they say "The Rock The Rock The Rock"

    • @thisisnotachannel
      @thisisnotachannel 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

They also chant "3:16! 3:16!, instead of Austin! Austin!
I don't think I have EVER heard a crowd chant anything for Stone Cold other than "Austin!".... or "WHAT?", I suppose.
I think the game had them chant "Stone Cold!" also.
So... every chant imaginable BUT the proper chant that the fans actually use!

there's actually 2 versions, the one where you actually have to run at a fallen opponent (as seen in video) and one you can do just by standing right over their head
either way I didn't like either of them because the opponent would get up right after which is stupid

a lot of people don't like the gameplay. at first, I felt the same, but then I picked it up pretty easy. even went so far as to memorize all the move sets for a good amount of the roster. loved creating wrestlers. love the commentary. can't really complain too much about it. then again, I bought it on DreamCast so it looked better than the ps1 and n64 version

They cut out Triple H's voice during his entrance in the N64 version. You can't even hear it when you switch the game to Teen Mode. I doubt it's a censorship issue because Billy Gunn still says "SUCK IT!" if Teen Mode is activated, so I'm assuming it was just memory limitations.

I still remember running to my room and just having enough time to watch Undertaker and Kane's ring entrance. This game was pretty innovative for it's time with the ability to create entrances, your own t shirts, PPVs and arenas. A season mode where you play your way up to the main shows and PPVs. Too bad they didn't give us JR and King on commentary like in real life at the time.

way complicated?? lemme guess, you play Smash Bros and even THAT is complicated for ya. (that's what i think Lawler would've said if he heard that comment...)
seriously though, you never did a Shoryuken or Hadoken in Street Fighter? it's the same thing, i used to be fluid with my moves and only having to study the move list when i played a new wrestler.
this game is wholly underrated and honestly it is judged too harshly by it's cover, way better than Wrestlemania 2000 and other Wrestling games of it's time.

Why do so many reviewers/ppl in general not take things IN context??? In context given the PS1's RAM limitations they HAD to have a limited ring intro as they did. The game created a lot of firsts in the industry. Smackdown for 6+ years lacked a lot of what this game got right! This game was awesome and I wish the company would have survived and retained the rights to make future games.

I’m not even quite sure what exactly you’re referring to as I made this review many years ago. With that being said, I like to compare games to other titles that came out within the same console generation as many people watching these videos are new to the genre and may want to know that there are other titles that came just shortly afterwards with more features, better gameplay, or whatever it may be. It’s not to disparage what Acclaim may have done with the title, but more to let people know their options.

this game for me has been my fave wrestling game for a very long time and i still love this game.
ppl call it a dated wreck, but at it's time it was innovative, and i personally like the button combos for moves, makes you feel like you're playing a Capcom fighting game, WAY better than the mindless button masher that is the standard for today's WWE games...
like you i spent hundreds of hours on this game and devoted an entire PS1 Memory Card to it and my CaWs, i really wish WWE games were made like THIS game, only of course a HELL of a lot better.
