The OG Yoshi’s Island final boss was super insane. Seeing a game that looks cute throughout nearly the whole thing but when you get to the 2nd part of the Baby Bowser fight, his face was super disturbing and might give you nightmares.
I'll always maintain the very original and unique opinion that the original Yoshi's Island is the best Yoshi game to ever grace the planet. Played the Mario Advance version of the game as a kid, the level design and music kept me coming back to it constantly. One of the GBA games that I played the most along with Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and Sonic Battle
Igual, había tantos secretos por encontrar, y había razones para terminar el nivel al 100%, esos niveles extra eran todo un reto, solo unos cuantos pude acabar.
Yoshi is one of my favorite video game characters of all time! I never played Yoshi's Cookie, or Yoshi's Safari though. But if I had to rank all of the other games from most favorite to least favorite, here's what I would go with: Woolly World, Crafted World, Island DS, Story, Island, Topsy-Turvy, New Island, Touch & Go, & Yoshi. Yoshi's Woolly World is one of my favorite games of all time, & I really hope it gets a Switch port! Because it's one of the few good Wii U games not on Switch...YET!!!
I have played ALL OF THEM! Yoshi, Mario & Yoshi, Yoshi's cookie (NES), Yoshi's cookie (GB), Yoshi's cookie (SNES), Yoshi's cookie (GC), Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Safari, Tetris attack (SNES), Tetris attack (GB), Yoshi's Story, Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island, Yoshi Topsy Turvy, Yoshi's Story (GBA tech demo), Yoshi touch and go, Yoshi's Island DS, Yoshi's new Island, Yoshi's Woolly world, Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World, Yoshi's crafted world. JUST SO MANY YOSHI'S!!!!
As much as basic New Island is, I actually preferred it to DS. DS was wayy too difficult to 100%, and some gimmicks felt old reallly quick, but it was still fun. New Island is like a simple charming time with a good hit of nostalgia.
Wow, I can’t believe this but until I saw this video I always thought Yoshi’s Island DS was a remake of the SNES game. I never knew it was an actual sequel!
The developers actually did call Yoshi's Island DS Yoshi's Island 2. But they were told to change the name just before it came out. They had no choice.
While I don’t take the “abused” part too seriously (as no one should as Mario characters are what makes the Mario franchise so surrealistically fun whether it be simple or complex about it), I can definitely say with confidence (regardless of his track record with the games although I do really like Yoshi’s Cookie (mainly the SNES version because while it’s the same game as it’s 8-but counterparts, it’s at least worth it for how much fun it has with its 16-bit technological advancements that goes to show that that this was made in the fourth to fifth generation of gaming), Yoshi’s Safari (save for the Super Scope controls that just goes to show that despite being one of the best and most underrated consoles, the SS6 was a product of its time), Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island (everyone’s favourite whether it be on the SNES or GBA, just like the original Super Mario World and its hacks with custom music and original endings), Yoshi’s Story (there are many reasons why I like it besides nostalgia, like the graphics look like they came from a 1990s VeggieTales episode, but yeah, while an underrated gem, the only thing that makes it a step-down is like what StrawHatMidas said, it was meant to be longer but ended up with only 24 otherwise fun levels), Yoshi Topsy-Turvy (well, let’s just say that it’s a lot more fun to watch than actually play with these frustrating motion controls, especially during the Bowser bosses and if you want to complete this game), Yoshi Touch & Go (it even has similar graphics to), Yoshi’s Island DS (you know how the quality of the trilogy gets lesser and lesser with each game? The original is a classic, yes. But as for the second game, while it is an underrated gem that mostly passes the nostalgia test, it did take some steps back from the original including but not limited to the music which while it mostly sounds nice on its own, it also sounds less like what you’d hear from original and more like what you’d hear from a fangame. And as for the third game, well, I guess you can give it credit where credit is due, but if you don’t really like it like me, don’t let gillythekid force you to like it and think the original is not as good as they say.) and the Yoshi’s Woolly World duology, mainly the original on the Wii U and 3DS) that Yoshi is one of the best characters in gaming history (I would even go as far as to say that even with his following, he’s actually underrated).
17:32 that's a great point actually. I always considered Yoshi's Island on SNES and DS to be much harder than their Mario counterparts but maybe because of his colourbook character design, he fits better with kids? I mean, probably because they then released Woolly World & Crafted World which really tie with that child's playroom aesthetic but does it really work ? Basing it on sales, Crafted World hasn't sold as much as Yoshi Island SNES and DS despite being a title on a successful console like the SNES and the DS were.
What about Tetris Attack? That game let you play as Yoshi in the start of the game. Sure, it's a Yoshi skin of the Japanese exclusive Panel de Pon, but my point still stands, I believe.
I think New Island has the worst soundtrack. I can at least tolerate Crafted World's soundtrack, except for the gacha machine, which I never really use anyway.
My Hot take on the OG Yoshi's Island: People who complain about Baby Mario crying.... ...Just don't get hit. ( Yes, I agree with my brother that if you hate the crying, its because you suck at the game.)
Awesome video man! Yoshis wooly world is definitely my favorite one from the ones I’ve played. Goated game :D
GOATED COMMENT RIGHT HERE :D

I wished Yoshi's Woolly World is released onto Nintendo Switch just like Yoshi's Craft World just like Super Mario 3D World.

Yo he jugado mas a Yoshi island que a Super Mario. A mi Yoshi me parece una obra maestra. ❤❤❤

Yoshi games are always good .
I like Yoshi games
2D Yoshi Island video games are amazing platformers to play!!!!!!!!!!!
Noooo why is this video so short I wanted to watch a 2h long video on Yoshi games😭😭

@@isaiahdixon9224 you never played the original Yoshi's Island?
@@michaelhockaday7426 I've played the original Yoshi's Island before, in fact I beat it twice. It's my fifth favorite Yoshi game.

@isaiahdixon9224 You're welcome! Glad I was able to give you the perfect yoshi shopping list!
Good channel like these videos quick review that gets the just of each game
Yoshi, everyone’s favorite lovable abused green dinosaur

Even though yoshi is my 5th favorite Mario character, he's never let me down with Yoshi's Island ❤😁
Yoshi’s island is TOO GOOD :D
Who are your top 4 above yoshi👀
How about tetris attack on the snes I love that game and it have cool backgrounds
Since SMW was only an evolution of SMB3 it sure needed some new spices so it's understandable why they did something totally different with YI.
Not know much yoshi games but love newer ones like ds to Wii U I say it is peak.
I enjoyed Yoshi's Island DS and Whooly World.
The developers actually did call Yoshi's Island DS Yoshi's Island 2. But they were told to change the name just before it came out. They had no choice.
Nintendo decided they wanted Yoshi's Island DS to be a interquel.
@isaiahdixon9224 yes, that makes sense. Not sure why. It's a fine game for a sequel.
@@michaelhockaday7426 I agree. In fact, it's one of my favorite games of all time!
@@isaiahdixon9224 I like the original and Whooly World more, but DS is my 3rd favorite in the Yoshi series.

Yeah i noticed it was not doing as well as i thought it would. Every black friday its on sale for 40 which is WILD for a nintendo first party game :D
Yoshi's Island is the best in the series and arguably a "Top-5 SNES" game.
P.S. 11 year-old me was rather disappointed by Yoshi's Story on the N64.
Same. Love Yoshi's Island but hated Yoshi's Story.
Is tetris attack on the snes with Yoshi is top 5 too
What about Tetris Attack? That game let you play as Yoshi in the start of the game. Sure, it's a Yoshi skin of the Japanese exclusive Panel de Pon, but my point still stands, I believe.
If you don't have a CTR TV, You can't even play Yoshi's Safari....... I've tried. Giving up my CTR TV is the biggest mistake I've ever made.......
I love yoshi
Me too :D
I think New Island has the worst soundtrack. I can at least tolerate Crafted World's soundtrack, except for the gacha machine, which I never really use anyway.
Pretty much.
How about tetris attack soundtrack I think it better
It’s probably the sound of cardboard rubbing together in some of the Crafted World soundtrack that’s making your teeth hurt.
Yoshi is my favourite charchter
Insane?!? I don't feel that Yoshi is any more zany than his counterparts.
11:18 i cant believe you called it the "gameboy advanced"
what about luigi? what level is luigi? 17:53
6:18 are you high?
ARE YOU FUCKING HIGH?!?!?!?!?!!
Could you do wario games next please

Bill Cosby 😮
0:48 I've played that Yoshi game before on the gameboy but i found it kinda boring after awhile
None of them compares to Yoshi’s Island
Why you doing super Mario 64ds
Here one more game you did not do it is tetris attack on the snes!!!
