I lived on cap hill for 12 years just 1 street off Broadway. I was a bike messenger for 10 years downtown seattle and did a bike sport called observed bike trials. I was known by many on the hill. Moved away 20 years ago and now watching this is crazy cause i dont recognize it at all. Is Vivace not on Broadway anymore ?

I’ve been in Capitol Hill at night quite a few times. In the winter and on a weekday, it’s not Hoppin like this… but it’s not dead either. When it rains, people just go inside. I love seeing this video tho. Gonna have to see cap hill on a warm weekend…
They’re young people man…a lot of college kids. That’s what young people do, they go out and eat, drink and socialize all nights of the week. Sad you can’t remember what it was like to be young and have a little bit of fun in your life.

Why are all these people out in the middle of the night?
They are walking to and from restaurants, and bars. This was filmed at night, on a warm weekend

This video was filmed closer to 10:00pm and not "after midnight". Many of the businesses shown would have been closed by 10:30pm or 11:00pm.
