GREAT VIDEO thank you from A SUPER NOVICE that I am. Just purchased a 1873 Uberti yesterday ran it today for the first time ran great. Cleaned it and put away after watching this video went back to look at the hammer screws you pointed out that I had no idea what they were for and low and behold the small screw was a thread away from falling out. Thanks again
Hello from the future. Appreciate this video. Best info I’ve found on these rifles. Just got a used Uberti and thanks to you I have been able to loosen the hammer spring and now my standard (not slicked up) rifle is a pleasure to cycle. I love this this thing. Thanks from OZ.
Talk about covering all the bases! Maybe I'm just slow! I have watched this video about three times and I still find information I missed. I short stroked my own rifle (AR savvy) and to tell you the truth it didn't take that much gun knowledge. After watching this I realized that the kit install is not rocket science. The fine tuning is! Long Hunter willing to take time to make this video and share their knowledge is valid reason to purchase their products. If you want the best tune job or a competition rifle Long Hunter would be your best bet!
So, is this a problem that could occur with a “straight-from-the-factory” Winchester? It seems that loosening of the springs is playing a role in short stroking and it sounded like you implied this would NOT be an issue with a gun that was not tuned for speed.
great video, lots of cool info but... that hat has stolen the scene for me... best hat ever seen, truly man, awesome. did you shaped it by yourself or was just like that from the beginning? On a different note, does this also apply to the 1866? i have some issues with light primer strikes and the rifle is stock, got it used but the previous owner didn't shoot it much...
@@codycorado2581 : Yeah...I was going to advise you to screw the plate screw into the opposite plate and lift it off. Make sure you take the magazine screw plug out and lube it...so henceforth it can be easily removed. Anyway...glad you got it apart.'

Bennie Mabe the 1892 isn’t as smooth as the 73 or 66. The actions on the 92s are stronger
I cannot get my side plates off my rifle. I’ve removed the screw and they are like glued to the gun. I have no idea what to do at this point.
