Yesterday I had a similar match. Bully squad and I noticed two of them had flashlights. Tossed on Lightborn and sure enough they were trying every light flash blind or save that they could, but of course they couldn’t. I only got a 2K, but I normally play survivor, so not bad in my books against a bully squad
The thing is, it isn’t trolling. They’re main goal is to make the killer upset and when it doesn’t work, they get mad themselves. Which means, if they’re not making their opponents day worse for them, they’re not having a good time. That’s not trolling, that’s just a sad human being.

I had a TTV challenge me to a custom game after I beat their sabo squad with my legion. I legit thought it was a great game, I had so much fun playing it. But they were Dumb Mad. So I agreed, picked wraith, ran to a corner and went afk while I made some tea. Not sure that makes me the good guy, but it did make me laugh thinking about them trying SO hard while I was steeping peppermint leaves.
I loved the Wesker pulling them out of the lockers over and over lol! He does the animation every time, so it's like a parent putting one kid into bed, but the other one jumps up and runs for it

I ran oni with blood warden on memorial institute, they bullied me the entire game but I got them with the blood warden and got the 4k, I went into their chat to say gg and they shit on me for like 15 minutes straight even after going into another game and getting shit on again. Oh I get furious when I get outplayed, but like a normal person I get mad at myself for making mistakes, I don't get mad at my opponent for being the better player, unless they were cheating I guess.
This is why I also run iron maiden to screw with the timing even more. I have gone against a few of these squads and luckily they were on my huntress and trickster who I main that perk on all the time. Combine that with the add ons that increase it further and you have a hilariously short locker grab and a ttv'er who is looking pretty stupid after I down them.
These are funny and all, but the more I see them the more I appreciate the people who looked at these videos and said “I don’t have to act like this.” It’s really great to see some content creators turn around because of these and be bigger than ever in the dbd twitch scene for it. It baffles me that people like this who stream to win don’t understand *why* the top streamers are up there. I dunno, sometimes you just gotta swallow your pride and admit “hey, maybe I’m not always the top shit,” and the people who do that are incredible.
I often think sometimes Prestige 100's are easier to deal with because they're often overconfident and running around the killer, i had a game full of Prestige 100's as Sadako and they just kept running around me and trying to blind me and i just mori'd them all and they got extremely salty lmao
I like to run Devour Hope because it makes people question why I teleport away from hooks immediately rather than search the area for unhookers, and it adds tension to the late game, where gens are few and my Sadako gets beefy :>
That ttv is exactly why I bring Lightborn to nearly every match. Talking about Lightborn, some survivor got pissy that I had lighborn, told me that it "didn't help" me against their 4 man sfw and if I didn't, they would have been worse. That was almost 2 weeks ago, maybe it was 2 weeks ago.

Every exploit in DbD has its strengths and weaknesses, but this one is just straight up unavoidable, especially at endgame when there’s two survivors left. There isn’t any more survivors left to chase, you still have 2 left so the hatch can’t spawn and you can’t start endgame collapse, the locker has you on a fixed camera angle that you can’t quicken (without already equipping a faster locker perk or add on before the game starts) or move out of until it’s already over and you’re already stunned. The worst part about it is that you could very well just maybe use this opportunity for you both to escape the killer and go do your objective, but instead they use it to just bully the killer and hop back into the lockers over and over again. Super infuriating
The question that kept coming to my mind is WAS the Killer waiting out the Dead Hard? The way those Dead Hards played out, I wouldn't be surprised if the Killer never even noticed the streamer was trying to Dead Hard.

the problem with the flashlight locker tech is that the person in the locker isn't even downed unlike all other situations when you can get a flashlight save. The person in the locker can escape when trying to ward off the flashlight goon and even get exhaustion recovered for head on. People in the dying state can't do all that.
I'm with the side of the community that says to get rid of the flashlight locker BS. Only thing I'd do differently is allow the Killer to simply move their head when taking someone out of a locker, but that apparently isn't possible for BHVR.

I felt way better about myself and also he was surprised when he found out I was 15 because I was very mature for my age, and I do get that a lot since lots of people say I'm mature for my age. Anyone can be a good person, you just gotta sit down and talk them through.

I've dealt with the new locker tech, the flashbang chain. Two servers each in a locker, each armed with a flashbang. Pull one out, other blinds, both jump in again. But now the person who used their flashbang makes another to keep the cycle going a couple of times. Not nearly as bad to deal with as the flashlight tech, since the flashbangs are a lot more limited, but to make it even worse, the entire team joined in. Pull, blind, pull, blind, pull, blind, until everyone was empty or messed up. I honestly just found it hilarious XD
When I played DbD it was near the release of the game. To me it was a horror game where you got to play the villain against people, which I thought was so cool because it reminded me of stuff like "Fat kid" from Halo 3 but a genuine horror game. So when I played it, I always tried to come across as more villainy, than genuine tactics. I would run around as Hillbilly revving my chainsaw even when nobody was around me. I'd break whatever I found and try to be destructive because again, that's how I perceived the game as it was supposed to be. All of this to say, I really hate how it ended up being played, as more of a silly cat and mouse game where a genuine, effective tactic is the dancing left and right around an object between you and the killer, straight out of a parody movie. What also sucks is survivors like this, because how are you going to be entitled when its a killer...trying to kill you, like imagine a movie or game where you're getting chased and all of a sudden you turn around and start shaming the killer for being mean or evil, again, it would be straight out of a parody. You should be afraid of the killer and try to avoid them, not bully and shame them. I think even if I perceived the game differently than its original intention or the way it evolved, it's still such a lame way to play, like I get distracting the killer and getting them to chase you to save your friends, but this harassing rule book these entitled people want the killer to follow, make the game worse is every way. My nonsensical rant is over!
I can't tell you how many times i've been messaged by toxic players because their stratagy failed or got taken out first and they try to justify their own rules.
I wouldn't mind the flashlight locker tech if it wasn't so easy to pull off. I've played against a 4 stack that switched to flashlights just before the start of the game, brought me Macmillan and worked in pairs. If I ever found one pair they'd both hop lockers, waste time while the other 2 did gens, and when I left them the other pair did the same thing. I just left that game, I'm not dealing with that.
Survivors being bad, then being mad at the killer is one of the best things to see. Especially when they're live and you can actually watch it in real time.
Everytime I go against a squad like this and I happen to have lightborn on they all give up when they find out and kill themselves on hook and tell me how I ruin their fun because I bring a perk. Mostly happens against TTVs lol
I had a weird interaction with a ttv, played a game with clown, ended up getting 4 mori’s with devor hope. Went to re-watch the match after the game ended (to see if the ttv is someone I actually wanna respond to because some are just so toxic) and right when I went in the chat to say “gg I was the clown a few games ago.” Because they seemed chill and didn’t say anything during the rewatch play-through they weren’t mad or anything. I was just banned before I could say anything. Im not mad at all I just find it funny to this day. XD

I had a match as wraith where an injured survivor took me up into main on MacMillan estate and hid behind his friend in a locker with head on. In the match the survivors were trolling and flashbang burning me out of cloak. I waited with those 2 for so long 1 thought I was afk and inched closer testing me. I ended up getting both hooked for the 4k and spammed my bell nodding at them. Needless to say I got buckets of salt for it
To be fair I think the locker change is purely to placate at least some section of the community that main killers given that survivors (unless plans have changed) are getting another perk as baseline. "Oh, we're doing BOTH of these changes to fix things that can't be countered". I imagine a lot more people are going to main flashlights and go for tons of saves when the changes roll through, and suddenly lightborn will become more desired lol
3:21 this right here is probably my main issue with the dbd community as someone who's been playing since 2018. If you play properly (regardless of survivor or killer) there's a high chance the person you're outplaying is gonna be some entitled weirdo who can do no wrong who feels compelled to offend you or either facecamp/teabag you for reasons that only make sense to them. I think it would have been better if the devs added a cooldown or short immunity to chained flashlights instead of removing the locker saves completely, I have been never held hostage like this Wesker was so I don't think it was that big of a deal and I sort of respected when survivors would flashlight me in that spot because it still requires good timing on their part during most matches.

To me it was a horror game where you got to play the villain against people, which I thought was so cool because it reminded me of stuff like "Fat kid" from Halo 3 but a genuine horror game. So when I played it, I always tried to come across as more villainy, than genuine tactics. I would run around as Hillbilly revving my chainsaw even when nobody was around me. I'd break whatever I found and try to be destructive because again, that's how I perceived the game as it was supposed to be. All of this to say, I really hate how it ended up being played, as more of a silly cat and mouse game where a genuine, effective tactic is the dancing left and right around an object between you and the killer, straight out of a parody movie. What also sucks is survivors like this, because how are you going to be entitled when its a killer...trying to kill you, like imagine a movie or game where you're getting chased and all of a sudden you turn around and start shaming the killer for being mean or evil, again, it would be straight out of a parody. You should be afraid of the killer and try to avoid them, not bully and shame them. I think even if I perceived the game differently than its original intention or the way it evolved, it's still such a lame way to play, like I get distracting the killer and getting them to chase you to save your friends, but this harassing rule book these entitled people want the killer to follow, make the game worse is every way.

Survivor main: yeah that locker thing should addressed. It is rare to see but if it goes off it’s a never ending loop.
I can't tell you how many times i've been messaged by toxic players because their stratagy failed or got taken out first and they try to justify their own rules.

I wouldn't mind the flashlight locker tech if it wasn't so easy to pull off. I've played against a 4 stack that switched to flashlights just before the start of the game, brought me Macmillan and worked in pairs. If I ever found one pair they'd both hop lockers, waste time while the other 2 did gens, and when I left them the other pair did the same thing. I just left that game, I'm not dealing with that.
Funniest thing is Wesker wasn't even waiting out the dead hard, those were just terrible dead hards.

Everytime I go against a squad like this and I happen to have lightborn on they all give up when they find out and kill themselves on hook and tell me how I ruin their fun because I bring a perk. Mostly happens against TTVs lol
I had a weird interaction with a ttv, played a game with clown, ended up getting 4 mori’s with devor hope. Went to re-watch the match after the game ended (to see if the ttv is someone I actually wanna respond to because some are just so toxic) and right when I went in the chat to say “gg I was the clown a few games ago.” Because they seemed chill and didn’t say anything during the rewatch play-through they weren’t mad or anything. I was just banned before I could say anything. Im not mad at all I just find it funny to this day. XD
If that dude pulled up my steam profile I’ll be honest he’d have every right to call me a weirdo at that point xD

I had a match as wraith where an injured survivor took me up into main on MacMillan estate and hid behind his friend in a locker with head on. In the match the survivors were trolling and flashbang burning me out of cloak. I waited with those 2 for so long 1 thought I was afk and inched closer testing me. I ended up getting both hooked for the 4k and spammed my bell nodding at them. Needless to say I got buckets of salt for it

To be fair I think the locker change is purely to placate at least some section of the community that main killers given that survivors (unless plans have changed) are getting another perk as baseline. "Oh, we're doing BOTH of these changes to fix things that can't be countered".
I imagine a lot more people are going to main flashlights and go for tons of saves when the changes roll through, and suddenly lightborn will become more desired lol
3:21 this right here is probably my main issue with the dbd community as someone who's been playing since 2018. If you play properly (regardless of survivor or killer) there's a high chance the person you're outplaying is gonna be some entitled weirdo who can do no wrong who feels compelled to offend you or either facecamp/teabag you for reasons that only make sense to them. They didn't play poorly, you're just toxic and you did something they personally don't like. So stupid😂

I think it would have been better if the devs added a cooldown or short immunity to chained flashlights instead of removing the locker saves completely, I have been never held hostage like this Wesker was so I don't think it was that big of a deal and I sort of respected when survivors would flashlight me in that spot because it still requires good timing on their part during most matches.
