AngryJoe finds out last week that Dead or Alive DLC costs $1,289.79!! Here is what happened!
For costumes?!?! Costumes that we used to unlock for free in past DOA games and past fighting games. This franchise is completely corrupted now.
Even if you support additional DLC Costumes, how the hell can you support these PRICES for these digital goods?!?! Inconsistent prices, gouging fan bases, and pure exploitative greed.

I really miss the kind of game that every content would be unlocked throughout the gameplay.

I really miss the kind of game that every content would be unlocked throughout the gameplay.
In dead or alive 5 last round you could. The game had 260+ costumes which was about 10-15+ per character it had tons and tons of costumes all different and unique that could be unlocked by playing or put in a code and unlocked instantly for the time you were playing. The extra costumes sold as DLC are if you want to add more costumes to the 260+ you already get with the game which isn't needed. Plus the $1000+ he is looking at is the cost of the characters individually being sold a $4 each but you can just buy the entire game with the entire roster of characters and 260+ costumes and all modes and so on for about $20. So of course the price will be over $1200+ when its more like $800 for all the costumes and only costumes.
Well....._ I wouldn't say all be free since some costumes are based off of characters from different companies, but yeah its still outrageous, a game's DLC shouldn't cost more than my rent.

But for DOA6, I don't think there's reason to rant. It's mostly character packs for those who play the free version and even they don't need all the dlc cause they are just packs of the same characters sold differently. So if you bought the game, the dlc are: wedding dress, a couple of extra characters and/or the season pass (not sure if the season pass includes the wedding dresses and the extra characters).
Well still the better then (Dlc) Train Simulator 19 where all Dlc would cost you over 7000 Dollar.

That wasn't mic damage, it's the kind of blur that's an aftereffect of TH-cam's audio isolation software -- If your video has a copyrighted audio track, and TH-cam blocks your video from the public thus, you're given the option to have TH-cam remove *(isolate)* the track from the video file.
The unfortunate aftereffect of this process is that voice audio is blurred in this unique way -- You can slightly hear the voice just before the person actually speaks, and the voice is louder than normal -- that is easily identifiable, to me at least. I've never heard that kind of blurriness outside of TH-cam and where there wasn't _copyright_ involved.

@@yogopol6791 I think that Capcom is one of the "good guys" in the gaming industry, based on how generous they are with their online games ( MHW for instance ) and how good singleplayer games they produce ( RE2 Remake for instance ).
Though I have to say that even Capcom can screw up sometimes, like they did with more recent RE3 Remake. That game was shorter than the original RE3 was and the Nemesis was a huge letdown because how unthreatening he was.

As of todays date 2/9/2021 there are 460 DLC's for DOA 6 and there is so many that you can't see the total amount for all.
I bought the Dead or Alive Delux edition at the XB store for $23.99 and was very disappointed. As of 02/15/21 still:
1)No endings in Arcade mode.
2)Crap ending in Story mode.
3)6 fighters and 80% of the costumes still locked after buying the Delux edition.
4)Less fighters than in DOA 5.

I'm a little more lenient on train simulator though. Cuz a lot of work goes into most of the DLCs they are putting out. They have to get licenses and whatnot. And they're not just reskins your getting a legit train and most of the time a fully mapped out and functional area of track some times up to 100 some odd miles. Granted there are some stinkers but a good of portion you can tell they actually tried and the thing is most people only buy things they are interested in like I only play NA maps and not only that you can take your DLC into next years and beyond game

Funny thing. Someone in a game I used to play had been a creator of said game. He used to create content for it, and said every time he created new things he never realized until about 5 years later that all the cute things he made brought the company alot of money because holy shit do people like having costumes on their characters. He turned around and said if he had that money himself he would not have had to work anymore, though that was an mmo, and he did the numbers which came out to more than the ammount for dead of alive 5's shit if you were to purchase everything for a single character.

Koei Tecmo, for the most part, is just straight up dumb with their DLC prices. But then again, considering rich weebs have no problem spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on gacha games and figurines, those DLC prices seems to be nothing.

I bought DW9 and the pass, due to different games I didn't touch it after completion, once I returned I noticed new dlcs but wondered why I couldn't download them for free etc. Turned out they released several passes, never touched the game again
Some of the DLC's are good, others are questionable, but the game overall? Pretty fucking good.

As much fun I had with the fighting in DOA6, the state in which they released this game plus the inability to purchase individual costumes on PS Store outside of Japan for whatever fucking reason physically hurts me.
My advice is to try out the free version to see if you like it. I didn't pay full price for this, but several aspects underwhelmed.

It's really hard to compare these to simulators imo. I feel like you're paying for a really detailed module on top of a platform instead of a game, same for stuff like DCS.

They charge full price for OLD Cod season passes while you can get battlefield 1 and 4 for a song now . Activations business practice is disgusting tbh ! I'm not defending EA by any means btw but it must be said . Tbh i think the battlefront 2 uproar was the wake up call they needed And that game is great now . Activation seem to always get a pass on dlc for some f#%ked up reason . .

what they are looking at is the ADDED UP price of both individual dlc and season passes, there is a lot of overlap so it adds up to over a thousand, in reality it's more like 400$+ but still way too much

Something also to note with the Season Passes( the ones over $90) on DOA 5 Last Round it was the only way to unlock a very special outfit for one or more characters that year
since they are not available to purchase singly or in other packages. Other outfits that were not exclusive to the pass if you didn't want to buy all the outfits in a package or a season pass you at least had the option to purchase some of them singly if you wanted to. Hope that gives you some more information. Thanks for your time AngryJoeShow.

It's these moments which make me come back to watch Angry Joe again and again and again. Not only is Joe (and other Joe) my gaming bible as I always check with the Angry Joe Show whenever possible before I buy a new game, but they never hold back (much) and they make the show enjoyable to watch as well. It's never a dull moment.
You would be doing Joe and other Joe a disservice if you even dared to lower the volume. (only exception would be to avoid ear damage LOL)
