I’m going to do these for Christmas gifts for friends and family and keep them around the house all year round this is a great idea as we are a cookie family as well! I’m going to try craizens and white chocolate! Thank you
I love storing recipes in mason jars. I make corn bread, scones, muffins, applesauce bread, peasant bread, and beer bread. I don’t have any cookie mixes. I should do some to make the holidays easier.
When I was a teenager, my mom got me a 'cookie in a jar' cookbook for Christmas that had gift tags and everything in it and I have been fascinated with them ever since. They are sooo nice! Thanks for sharing your recipes!!!
Hi…..I made some cookies in a jar and also brownies in a jar for Christmas gifts yesterday. I love having these convenient foods on the pantry shelf. Thanks ❄️🇨🇦❄️
I always keep cookie dough balls in freezer- this week I’ve made lots of new batches for the freezer so Christmas cookies easy/ready to bake! Also got several pie crust dough and biscuit dough made up in freezer ready to go! Several pounds of bacon cooked-in freezer. I love getting as much as possible done ahead so I’m not too worn out and can enjoy time with family! Then when everyone is heading home they put some dough in a cooler to take home and bake when ready to enjoy something yummy from moms kitchen 🥰
Why didn't I think of doing this earlier. My cookie baking for Christmas is done. Its such a mess of clutter to keep all of the ingredients out on the counter until you are done baking. Love the jar mix idea.
Great last-minute idea! But it also reminds me that I bought some premade cookie dough from a young friend for a fundraiser, and completely forgot till this video that they are in the freezer!
Today was cookie making day for me too. Since we celebrate the winter solstice I make an orange oatmeal cookie that was my mom's recipe. We cut them into suns, crescent moons and stars. Everyone loves them and the orange represents the return of the sun. I will try to send you the recipe. Be well, cute mama.
Great idea! I'd love to see an equivalent brownie recipe, too. My favorite brownies have been the Ghirardelli triple chocolate mix in the big pack at Costco, but they now say they're made with bioengineered ingredients, so I guess it's time to figure out a replacement recipe. Sigh. May I ask why you use carob? (Do I want to stay in the dark on this one? Lol.) And do you make carob brownies at your house?
I use to make gigantic batches of cookies and put the balls in the freezer. I'd bake a dozen, OR I would sneak a frozen cookie ball and just eat it. OMG, I am so weak when it comes to sweets. Mostly cookies, pies and cake.... my sweet tooth is my biggest sin. 🤦♀️

Throw a bow on them and it’s an instant gift for any occasion.
Hi friends!! If you need a last minute gift here is your idea! Just need some pantry ingredients and a jar- all set!
They look yummy! Your little guy was excited 😆
He just learned the word Cookie and now he wakes up saying it. Demanding, rather. 😅

I think half the battle is getting the dry ingredients out of the pantry 😅
Yummy cookies!!! Happy holidays!!!🎉
Thank you Nadine 😊

Hi Donna! Merry Christmas!!
No more babies right now. Aaron was joking :)

I got the carob chips from azure just to try them. :) 🌻🌻🌻

Mine too Minna… it is my weakness!!!
Exactly what I do! I prefer fresh baked warm cookies so I like having frozen ready to bake!
Me too!! I’m about to triple batch some cookie dough for freezing too. These kids need lots of fresh baked snacks 🥰😅
Ohhhh nice!
Looks good 😊
Thank you Reinold!
Have you tried this recipe with putting egg powder and powdered milk so you can just add oil and water
I haven’t tried that, but I do have lots of freeze dried eggs. That’s a great idea just need to account for rehydration.🌻🌻🌻
How long will the mix last in the jars ?
I reckon as long as the flour is good. 3 months maybe?
