it makes me so so happy seeing people love and appreciate jungsu's voice 🥲 it's so unique and beautiful but underrated
Out of the band how could you say that jungsu vocal is underrated ?? He is in the top two most talked about vocals
Every song by them has something standing out. They really deserve high praise for their talents and effort in the production process!
I also really like Jungsu's voice, is so full and powerful, very bright but he also have a beautiful deeper tone, also his control...woah .He also said he has perfect pitch

This was such a cool reaction! I don't know anything about music production or instrumentation or even much about singing, so it's always cool to hear someone who knows a helluva lot more than me point out stuff I missed or confirm that the stuff I like is actually great.
If you're interested, they did post some behind-the-scenes vids for recording the title track Little Things on their yt channel, one for drum and guitar recording and one for vocals, but we'll likely get more in the coming weeks for the other instruments and more vocals. There's also a vid on JYP's channel called Find Trouble Inside where they play the instrumental samples and talk about the writing/recording process, so it gives more insight into how involved they are in creating their music. They're not totally self-produced, but they're getting confident enough that I think they could easily get there one day.
Just some fun additional context for a few of the songs: in a series of concerts they did before the album release where they played all the new tracks, pretty much all the members cried during Dreaming Girl and Until The End Of Time. Dreaming Girl is about realizing how impossible our dreams might be but pushing through anyways, which as you can imagine is pretty meaningful to a band trying to break thru in an industry that's so focused on kpop and honestly pretty unwelcoming to bands sometimes. When recording Until The End Of Time, Jooyeon spent 8 hours in the studio directing the vocals for everyone, which I think says a lot about how much he cared about the song bc let's just say he's usually not the most patient or diligent of the members lol. The lyrics reminded him of how even though his parents said they'd always be by his side, as he grew up he realized that can't be true forever and one day they will be separated, so it makes you appreciate the time you have with them more. At the concerts their parents came to some of the shows, hence them all bawling their eyes out as they played.
It'll be interesting to see what you think of the rest of their discography. If I had to guess, I think you'll probably like their previous mini album Livelock a lot, like Troubleshooting I think it does a great job of showcasing their range of skills and influences while still feeling like a cohesive album. The b-side Pluto is one of my all-time favorites from them, if you check it out please do yourself a favor and watch their live performance of Pluto on NPOP, it's incredible. The rest of their albums might be a bit of a mixed bag for you (tho they're no-skip for me, I realize songs like Zzz aren't gonna be for everyone lol). Deadlock is probably the least cohesive, but it also has 2 their best songs on it, Good Enough and Bicycle. Good Enough will rip your heart out and put it back together and then rip it out again, it's so beautiful and also their only fully English track (the drummer Gunil wrote it based on a poem he wrote in college while nursing an unrequited crush, and he moved to the US in middle school and went to Berklee College of Music). Their first 2 albums Hello World and Overload lean a lot more into the quirky kpop influences, but I think you'll have fun seeing how their production and vocals have matured in comparison and they're still really great albums. For the first album Hello World they made performance vids for all the songs, so you can check those out instead of the color coded vids.
Oh, and they're not really reaction friendly bc KBS is very strike-happy, but if you want to really get a sense of their skills in live performances then on your own time look up their performances for the show Immortal Songs. They've been on it 3 times, there's a Stage Collection video that has all of them together in one vid. Premise of the show is that they invite current Korean singers (could be soloists, kpop groups, bands, musical theater performers, actors, anyone really as long as they can sing) to perform a cover of an iconic song from a "legendary" korean artist or that fits a specific theme for the ep (like Best OSTs or Love Songs, etc). It's a very casual, low-stakes friendly competition, but much beloved bc it emphasizes live vocal skill so no lip syncing and minimal or no backing tracks (which some say is why kpop groups who get invited on almost never win, but that's a whole different can of worms). XH got invited on less than a year after their debut, which is pretty impressive, and tho they haven't won yet they always get super high praise from the featured artist and other performers.
Zzz is an absolute banger no one can tell me otherwise

Loved your deep analysis, it was great coming from a person who know nothing about music but love them. You should react to their video in immortal songs, it was mind blowing and you will see how Jooyeon sings !!! (For me he is THE VOICE. Love Jungsu voice too and his capacity of range, texture and tone, but Jooyeon's voice puts me to heaven every time) thank you!
They make me feel nostalgic for the rock era. And Jooyeon's voice has this rock&roll vibe really.
