I think you need to do a favorite W.I.P. video!! 🥰 The page in the Forest Girl would be my first choice because you were so excited about getting the book!! 🤗 The other one would be the gal in the pink dress with the crown(personally, I think the sleeve continues down her arm in a sheer pink fabric). 👑 I'd love to see an Artsy girl color along, too! 🎨 That book has my heart!!❤
Love ALL of your videos, Pamela, but especially love your Favorites videos! I play them again and again while I color and art journal. I have most of the books shown here and now see them in a new light and in more detail thanks to your wonderful reviews.

Absolutely loved this video! I have all the Hanna Karlzon, Maria Trolle, Klara Markova, Eriy, Rita Berman, Pop Manga, Hannah Lynn (her latest is on its way) and I adore them all and so many others, but my number one hands down favorite is the hard cover version of Wild Soul! I have done the flamingo, lion, horse, leopard and duck pages. It’s a stunning book!

Johanna is my #1 favorite artist. Favorite book of hers for me is Worlds of Wonder. I really love Castle Art pencils in her books a lot. Thanks for the video and Merry Christmas

I just started my first page in World of Flowers today. I’ve had it since it came out, and finally started it. I started with Polychromos, and will try the Prismas in it too.

Hi Pamela I just wanted the o thank you for your digital pdf’s and color combinations etc swatch charts which I bought and for leading me to sarah Renee Clark’s color combinations and companion books they incredibly helpful and I love both sets , just bought the worrld of flowers this book is incredible I also bought the magic Hardin and 2 large floral letter books doing the word baby for my 3rd grand baby’ room, one is used but like only ones flower by a beginner or a older child easily fixed that’s in the magic garden

I'm so glad they've been helpful and I am so happy you love Sarah Renae Clark's Color Catalog too. It's a fantastic resource and really takes the guessing out of trying to plan your coloring page and choosing colors.
Hannah Lynn is a new favorite artist of mine this year due to diamond painting and I really enjoy her Steampunk book. Johanna Basford was my very first adult coloring book years ago so she is an eternal favorite of mine. You gave me a couple of new artists to check out now so thank you. I will say that you sounded a bit judgemental about the idea of someone being excited to frame or give a special image from a book that they colored. I personally love books that have perforations, to each their own. I am glad I didn't give up on the video at those comments though because you got better and I liked hearing the different pencils or other mediums you had success with. I'll be checking out more of your videos. 🙂
I love Hannah Lynn, but have not gotten into diamond painting. Maybe some day soon. I am not sure what you mean by sounding judgmental about giving a coloring page as a gift? Are you referring to me saying I would never tear a page out of my Forest Girls book? If so, I am sorry you took it as judgmental. I did mention that it can be done if you wanted to frame one of the images, but just that I would never want to tear a page out of my book. I waited for that book for so long and it is a beautiful book. I feel like tearing one of the pages out would take a way from it as the book is in story form in chapters and feels like a collectors edition coloring book with great quality paper and beautiful images.
@@PamelasPassionforPencils I'm sorry I misunderstood you then. Yes I was bothered when you repeatedly said you didn't know why anyone would want to tear out a page because you would never do it. I did not realize it was just a comment about that specific book and I do remember you showing some that had chapters and stories which would make less sense to separate than a traditional coloring book. Glad you were willing to explain more as this was my first time finding your channel and I just don't know your background or style yet. I'll be watching more for sure as we have some similar interests and you seem to be talented in your art form. Have a great day!
@@breannestone3817 I am so sorry that you misunderstand. Yes, I only meant it about that one book specifically. Usually though, if I want to frame a coloring page, I will make a copy of it onto better paper that works great with whatever medium I want to use. I am so glad you found my channel. I saw your comment and was confused so I wanted to respond. I am so glad you saw it and replied. A lot of times I'll reply to someone and it's not ever seen, but I do try to make the effort to respond to most of my comments. The Third Eriy book is currently up on Amazon for $35 if someone is still looking for it for their collection. Like you said, its the Japanese Edition but better than nothing.
So the Floribunda, I had a hard time getting a hold of on Amazon. I ended up looking it up on Amazon, and along with the Forest Girl series, I found these sellers and stores with these AMAZING Korean and Japanese coloring books. I mean... stunning. They're just different from the American, Swedish and Dutch ones. So while my husband and poor bank account may feel differently, I am VERY grateful for you and this video. I wouldn't have found them otherwise. I'm an ink and watercolor artist, am very new to adult coloring book but I am SO glad for them to be able to play with color and mediums when I am creatively burnt out. It's sparked so much creativity in times of art block. I'm very grateful for this video, thank you.

I’d have to say that Eriy, Rita Berman, Kerby Rosanes, Sarah Richter, Anastasia Koldereva, Hanna Kalzon, Selena Fenech, Alena Lazareva, Damita Victoria and Rachel Mintz are 10 of my favourite Artist. Since it’s been less then a year that I’ve been colouring, I’ve had to do a lot of catching up book wise so it’s impossible for me to pick only 10. I have no doubt I missed naming a few others that I love since there are so many talented artist out there. I can say I like a variety of different subjects and styles to colour sonI never get board. I also love when you mention which pencils work best on which paper. Speaking of paper, I heard on another You tuber video that there are 3 choices of amazon paper that an Artist can chose when they release a book on Amazon. Bottom level paper( the paper everyone hates) a so so paper that is the next step up, and a top level Amazon paper. Obviously, the better quality paper cost more, so it sounds like most are choosing the low end paper, which sucks because I would payban extra $10 if it means I can watercolour the background or use my Neocolors. I believe the other choice for books is a smoother paper which is why most coloring book artists don't choose it for their books. I thought there were two choices, a smoother one and the one we all are familiar with. There are so many wonderful artists out there and still even some I don't know about and I've been coloring for some years now. I love having all the choices available to us because we all love different art styles. Happy Holidays!
I have been gifted a few coloring books with double-sided pages. But I don't buy that type of book for myself because I find it too frustrating having another image on the other side of the paper. I can't afford a lot of paper and/or a new printer to print pages. I find it so much easier to take the page out of the book and color it on my portable table-top easel. I don't have to worry about bleed-through or anything. It's so much less frustrating. I buy a lot of Creative Haven books because the vast majority of those contain single image, perforated pages. After I color a page I put it in one of my (several) three-ring binders in a plastic sleeve. If I haven't given an image away as a gift, it's in one of my binders.
I don't have a top ten because I don't have this much coloring books but right know my top 5 is:
1. Hanna Karlzon - magical dawn
2. Johanna Basford - worlds of wonder
3. Karla Magana - stardust spacelust (finished this one)
4. De wereld van tarot - Alexis E. Thomson (I stumbled on this one in my local bookshop and the paper is so good!)
5. Het enige echte mandala kleurboek (black edition)

Hmmm... How do I choose my top 10 for 2021? I do have some books I love and never color in them because I'm afraid to ruin them and others I just pick up and color quite often... I didn't complete that many pictures in 2021 though. Here are some of my favourites (most are still untouched):

I wanted to add to your #1 Book "World Of Flowers" that the "Brutfuner" pencils doesn't stay on the book very well. I'm guessing a lot of budget friendly pencils will not stay with all the layers, you will have to reapply the layers if you leave the page and want to get back to it after a while. Just FYI.

nope.. it is pronounced with the e at the end... definitely not troll.... so many people make that mistake and it is so great to hear Pamela actually pronounce it correctly
@@moniiibelle ok google pronounced it like the troll doll. After your comment I tried to find a interview with her and I finally found one. And you are correct, it’s nit like the doll at all. I guess translation got mixed up from Swedish to English
