    Ah...
Long time Gator Town (Gainesville, FL) resident. I was fortunate to see him perform once live with Bobby McFerrin.

His first Guitar he built himself was built a Cigar Box Body and Electronics including Record Player Parts, it became his trademark.

I read his bio (and bought all his early albums when they came out!) and this guitar at the end has all those knobs cause he hated pedals! Had everything put right into the guitar! He had giant hands, so he tuned to open tunings, and used one finger to cover the whole neck...on early songs like "Who Do You Love," the lead intro was by Jody Williams, an incredible player! [Jody got sick of being ripped off by the music biz, and worked at Xerox for about 25 years - quit music by the 1960s...too bad!] Hail Bo Diddley!

Bo is known for the Bo Diddley beat, the shave and a haircut rhythm. Check out Mona live.

Bo Diddley's a Gunslinger! I take a dive into his stuff every now and then. Along with that classic riff he just hit it harder. At least to me. If you get him up on the channel, I'd reco going with some vintage video. The black & white stuff from the '50s. Nice call back to Bo Jackson. That was the first time I thought to give Bo Diddley a listen. Everyone should.

The "Bo Diddley" riff is embedded in in rock culture and copied by about everyone.

sure you can't understand bo diddley with this song, bo diddley was not a guitar performer, if you search for guitar solo and all that what usually does guitar hero you won't find it in his music, it's a raw weird savage beat that occuerd in the 50's when rock n roll was just born. he is a singer, a great showman but with a "simple" guitar playing not based on a lot of melodies or notes and sustained by a savage drum beat i don't ear here. he also was experimental in sound but very basic playing. better try to find old videos or his albums but not what you show here. his stuff was not melodies but an hypnotic groove somewhere like a voodoo groove.
you can apply him the sentence from johnny be goode "he's playing his guitar just like ringing a bell" and you have only one note in a bell.

Not a very good sample of Bo, he used maracas on his records and didn't have screaming Stratocasters in his band, react to his early stuff.
