Cape Coast is also known for its high schools. many of the top secondary schools in Ghana are located there. it is actually the education capital of Ghana. St Augustine's, Mfantsipim, Wesley Girls, Holy Child Girls, Ghana National, Aggrey Memorial Zion, Adisadel College etc. All the high schools campuses are scenic, beautiful mini cities too. I will urge you to do a cape coast high schools tour.
I heard cape coast was the formal capital of Ghana (then called gold coast). I advised investors should move here and invest to this city. Its nature makes it beautiful.
Take note Cape coast was former capital of the colonial administration called the Gold Coast Provincial located inside Cape Coast Castle . I should know because my two time Great grand mother was brought, at age eleven, by boat to Elmina castle by a Sister Superior Thais from the Order of the Franciscan Friars. She was brought up or raised as an orphan , from Georgia USA, due to loosing her mother through complications to do with child birth.. Trust me, I am a third generation of my family history and genealogy. Just so you know. This is Nash from London.
Well done. I have subscribed today. You are one day going to be invited to Cape Coast to a major humanitarian project which would rival those of Accra period. Stand by and thank you. This is Nash from London.
For the calmness in Cape and it environs it's true. You know Cape and Elmina is just a walking distance. Somewhere last year I was at Elmina Beach Resort for a 3 day program and the stretch leading to the hotel is so serene and beautiful that I wish I could live in the area for the rest of my life..
First capital of Ghana but it has been neglected by successive governments. It’s known for the best high schools in Ghana.Elmira caste was the first of the slave forts in the whole of west Africa by the Portuguese
That’s a lie! Currently cape coasters are not fluent in English. The educational standard of the native cape coast residents is now appalling..the educational institutions are some of the best in Ghana, but most of the students are not natives... cape coast was the capital of Gold Coast, not Ghana because most part of Ghana wasn’t part of Gold Coast when cape Coast was it capital.
Hello Jummy, Aye adzi as we say in F ante in Cape Coast. So that you know I am a F ante born in Cape Coast currently living in London. But my ancestors are calling me home so am coming and should see me ever so soon. And am going to send to you a specific invitation to come tour with me. Trust ,me you ant seen nothing YET. Meanwhile do me a favour, try to visit or tour either Saint Augustine s College, Wesley girls or Holy child and You would not be disappointed. These colleges are well developed townships all located in Cape coast. I am not going to make any comment to do with funding regimes between Nigeria and those of Ghana . Take note all the colleges in Central region including those in Cape coast are government funded schools. which would make for easy comparisons or do a critique. of the two countries in terms if education funding and management. I look forwarding to meeting with you The Most High YAHUAH willing. This is Nash from London
