Dude, what a great analysis of a players skills and flaws. If i had these kinds of videos available when i was a young, who knows how much better i could've been. Very educational
Love how Korchinski went from... "who's this dude at 8 on Button's list"... to a guy that everyone's gonna be pounding the table for in that mid-1st range :)
Great annalisist for us fans who get mezzmerized by highlights. Coaching will be important. But coaches riun guys like this by not letting them exploit what there good at. It's a fine line you don't want him to just sitting on the blueline. That's what the Hawks did with Bovquist and Leddy.
I would say that overall excited it’s extremely rare you can get a very big defenseman that can move with both straight line speed and excellent edge work and has a strong base of skills again hard to find this refined in a big guy at a young age. A lot of these problems can be fixed in one on one coaching and video coaching at the NHL level
@@EliteEklund7272 no offense but you have to be new if you think any prospect like this is projectable at the next level with certain mental lapses. He's got skills but he'd fall more in the boom or bust model as opposed to high floor projectability. He could go either way at this point.
@@EliteEklund7272 his hockey iq. You can teach line walking agility and skating in general. You can teach a player to have a better shot, how to win puck battles forechecking and backchecking. But you can't teach size, hockey iq and hockey intuition. You can coach those aspects up a little bit but not even remotely close to how much you can coach up the physical aspects aside from height. He's got some mental blockages he's shown over the course of the last couple of years. That's why I say he falls under the boom or bust model over the high floor projectability model. If it was just his shot or something than yeah. This is my opinion but I'm open to suggestions on something I could be missing?

you got a hell of a hockey name too haha
Welcome to the Hawks king 🤴 plz bring us hope
Kevin is killing it right now. Looks like the Hawks knew what they were doing getting him at 7.
Kyle Davidson is an absolute beast. I can’t believe he got the most complete defence of the draft at 7. That’s insane.
@@greathoonta3461he’s not the most complete defenseman at all he lacks defensive ability

What happened to ur vids y ain’t u uploading I love ur vids
@@marcushunt7980 Nearly done school m8 :)
That mintyukov guy was like first in all those stats lol. We need a video like this one on him! Awesome job
He looked absolutely incredible last night
He's fun to watch in this series. Under-rated guts too he's not afraid to get physical.
Kevin korchinski impressive skill set
And a break away king.
He is on my list of rookies to watch.
A Mateychuk video would be awesome
yes please
He has some crazy skill. Seems just little weak currently. I feel could be top 3 player from draft in a couple years
That is an excellent breakdown
Great video, I wonder how he compares with Luke Hughes. Both offensive Dmen with big upside and size. Luke is probably still the better skater.
So glad we traded #7 which turned into Korchinski for 1 year of Debrincat!!!

Uhhhhh Lane Hutson says hold my beer. Everyone knows Lane Hutson is the most electric defenceman in that draft. Pure definition of Electric
Guy can breakout a bit Niedermayer esque like maybe more Kaberle.
Idk if I’ve seen a d-man skate that well since makar
Excellent video
Welcome to the Hawks, no idea how to feel about this
With Richardson mentoring him. He should hopefully turn out alright.
@@DallyBoy247 I hope so, I love Richardson but have no faith in new management to handle him well or do anything well

Yessss I love me some Kevin
Great vid
Looks like a draft pick that my oilers took Philip broberg he at least has the skating like him o find
Seems to play like Quinn Hughes. Nice!
Mintyukov next please!
MTL Canadiens: "Mom, can we have Moritz Seider?"
Kent Hughes: "No. We have Moritz Seider at home"
Seider at home:
Wtf are you talking about? You acting like we had a shot of drafting him.
Meanwhile Minty is first in all those stats lmao. Kids gonna be a star.
Reminds me of a less refined Simon Edvinsson
itt's too bad the Sabres are already stockpiled with LHD. This would be an easy choice with 16th overall if he lasted
Isles should be all in on him
A marquee defenseman can get you a long way in the NHL now
great video.. Korchinski seems to be a boom or bust type of player huge gamble for sure not the type of bet you risk in a top 10 pick
Risky? He is 6’4 and is a good puck moving defenseman who is elite transitionally. Seems pretty projectable to me

Awful take
Your draft meeting video makes him sound like a scrub
An undersized WHL defenseman that recklessly plays around w the puck, nice
undersized?
Jiricek and Minty will be the best Defenders from this draft!!! Nemec will bust, Korchinski will bust!!
