He's a real dude glad to see him put his life back together
Shoutout to Jayson Williams's father for trying his best to keep his son in line!
This is the best interview in the history of 97
soulbrothanumbuh3 word!! And I don't even know this guy
soulbrothanumbuh3 Nore interviews > everyone
Jay started off telling stories then it got into confession & redemption.
*
You can see the pain in his eyes even when he laughs.
I'm glad Flex let him speak even if he appeared to ramble at times.
I think it's cathartic for Jay to talk about it..
*
Jayson, God forgave Moses for commenting manslaughter and He also has forgiven you.
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1John 1:9.
*
peace.
He used to do commentary for the NBA once he stop playing..this dude said Live on the air don't waste your money on drugs put it into the bank & smoke the Interest..lmao lol I will never forget that line cuz I do that still to this day thanks for the advice j.w.
I was following Jayson since he was playing for the 76ers bc I’m from Philly. I read his first book which was before the accident. I always thought he was a nice guy who lost his way.
DMX needs to attend Jason treatment center
GREAT INTERVIEW! man, that jail /cell phone story had me in tears 😂😂😂 but in all seriousness I'm glad he got a chance to tell his side of that tragic situation.
He was about to have a tv career. His personality was like Inside the NBA but before those guys. Its obvious that incident still haunts him.
Jason Williams truly HAS a testimony and what's even better is that he seems to have found his ultimate passion, he's good, and most importantly, he's GENUINE. Much respect for Jason, keep up the good work, & FLEX, let a person talk a little while before you interrupt, you can ask a question but throughout this entire interview you were stopping Jason's fastbreak. Lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Yo This guy had the funniest stories man one of the best interviews I've ever witnessed
Agreed
Bleek Cartier, Agreed!
Dope. I love a great comeback story. God bless
are you from 803....I use to live in columbia
marcie101080 yes i live in Orangeburg
Great job Jason for passing on blessings and you will conquer your addiction and adversaries!!
This guy is soooooo down to earth bless you brother we have all had some downfalls glad you are smiling!!!!!1
Watched the whole interview.Watched his other videos. He’d got my full attention.Fixing to watch another video. This is an amazing man,who is confident enough to admit and own up to his mistakes.❤️💕🥰
Best flex interview by far.
Go back and watch cribs he was ballin back in the day before the case ... He was a good basketball player in the 90s .
When he impersonates his dad sounds like Thurgood from the PJ's
Or the father from Nutty Professor
This hit home for me. Touched me deeply in so many ways. I felt the pain all through this interview 😢 I felt all the emotions !! Thankful for triumph!!
Yes, this was a powerful interview.
God bless Jason Williams on of the nicest people
this was a great interview with Jason Williams. he was a nice player which had a tragic accident mess him up a bit but he was able to use his life experience and change his life. some parts of this interview had me hollering laughing.
Stacy Tasha Roach I would have you hollering
So great to see Jayson. Great interview!
"And who knew dude that played ball for the NBA, would make a mistake on 'Who Knew Estates' and throw it away..." Seriously, though, met dude in '98 - he was even funnier and more down to earth in person. Crazy how one really bad mistake within a blink of an eye can sink your life for a minute. Props to him for getting back to this point in life.
That's HOV
Jaysons funny as he'll. Should have a podcast. 😆
He sounds like Richard Pryor in "which way is up" imitating his father
Jeff Washington Jr 😂😂😂😂
I am dying here! Jayson needs to have his own comedy show!
I agree
I was getting ready to say Flex wasn't annoying in this video, but then I listened to the whole thing
When Flex said u Kill'em out here..smh wrong choice of wordz Flex..wrong choice of wordz😳😏😎
He meant it.
@@marlenemartin6302 it ain't that serious WEIRDO
Jason seems like he was a good dude who lost guidance without his dad
I swear I've never watched a whole interview until now. I barely can watch a 10min video, but this was GREAT! Gotta look JW camp up, there's many ppl in our world need abdication help.
I never heard of this guy - but yo, he's funny as f*ck!!! Shout out to his dad
God bless you Jayson Williams! I pray that you stay on this positive journey. Great Interview Flex!
Respect to dude,if they didn't talk sports I'd think he was a slept on comedian he funny and I respect his grind.
If you aint old enough you can't feel this interview this was the biggest case after OJ'S
No way
this is the first interview in about 5 years that Funk Flex didnt annoy the hell out of me. still annoying but way less than usual
It might be random but it's interesting. Jayson Williams is a natural in front of the camera. No wonder he was so good on the pregame NBA on NBC studio shows. Then that shooting incident happened. Good to see that he bounced back.
Flex you are pretty bad at this, stop interjecting and cutting the man off... Jayson is the absolute truth!!!
I hate him 😤
Lmao I wish I could've met Jayson Williams dad. He seemed hella funny. Only 16mins & this is a great interview
lmao @ "He Flickted..." Wow...old school for real
So sad that he killed the driver accidentally but it was an accident and God knows your his heart. Jayson will be alright. God will walk with him.
Very honest opinion
So what trying to hide it was a bitch move by a Brest fed man
This interview is all over the place but I liked it because it had the feel of just a regular conversation as opposed to talking points and leading questions
GREAT INTERVIEW. .
Sounds like Eddie Murphy doing a funny voice
Great Interview muxh respect to the brother Jayson Williams.
incredible story teller
Addiction is life & death problem, that is a medically diagnosed disease, in the DMS 5 (5th Edition Diagnosis & Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders). It has about 30 symptoms. Not everyone has all 30, I have about 28, and if I would have kept on using, I probably would have gotten all 30 You can't bring your friends with you b/c they trigger each other. It took me a year after being in recovery before I could go hang out with one of my best friends....and she understood, we didn't even discuss it, it was just known. She didn't have no attitude, or anything, unconditional love & a true friend.
Someone tell this man to do a podcast him and Barkley would be best podcast on the net
I just want to hug him
I wish I could've met his pops. His pops was OG Pimping for real.
Jason always been a good dude!! Solid
This was such a great interview. I could speak with Jason and incredibly not talk about NBA basketball.
The truth needs no explanation and lies have no excuses. Information. Atonement is real.
JW : I buy the Ferrari and the lambo , next thing you know I have 20 cars
Flex : Yeah you was killing em
😳😳😳😳
Love Jason energy from day 1. Never thought less of him battling his issues. Good to see him using his situation to help others.
this was a great listen jayson williams needs a podcast fr fr
I was lock up with Jason Williams I would like to meet up with him again now that we are free
When he does his flash back voice.. he sound like one of the clumps..
Flex did well with this interview but have to admit it felt uncomfortable at some moments. I can tell Williams struggles with some of the decisions that he made.
Great content the streets need a place like this great job jayson
That Country voice he got is HILARIOUS! Great interview!
Jay is a cool dude...Was on Rikers with him in 2011 2012....Mad humble.

Big Jay, you are a blessing man..... Keep doing what you do!
His father Ole' SKOOL'...COUNTRY!!
My nigga Shotgun Jay
D 1990 😂😂😂
Jay is real! Great interview!! I pray God continues to work through him to make people aware of how fast it can all go wrong. The other thing that is real about this interview, is his relationship with his Dad, EJ!!! A lot of love there!
Jay is a good dude. Salute!
He had to be drinking back then. Who takes 17 people to Puerto Rico?
You sound like a straight JACKASS!
Drop in the bucket, for him. That, plus youth and ego. He had just come into more money, than most would see in a lifetime. He was 24-25 years old. Take that into consideration. We’ve all made mistakes, when we were young, and had no where near the money, he had. Mistakes are all relative. What may seem like insanity to you and I, may be normalcy to someone else.
The first 20 minutes of the interview sound like a comedy sitcom
He was gr8 on nba on NBC on sundays..idk why I thought he'd be different...hes still very entertaining and likeable..
One of the greatest rebounders of all time top 10 easily
Love Jayson story ❤️❤️ Thank for sharing
Best interview 💯✔️
Good brother right here
Now that's what I call given back
Jayson Williams lived in 275 Cherry Street lower eastside for many years and after he left his mother stood there for a lot of years after. Great Family...
Did he just out Dolan! LMAO This interview is a instant Classic. Best Flex interview EVER IMO. Flex wasn't even irritating this time around either.
Good to see j will... great interview and a lot of good info dropped. If you paid attention

One of the best interviews
Dude, will you shut up and let Jason talk?
@ 2:35 Did flex really say you was killing em in St. John's 🙈
Tom Rob he was "slaughtering" 'em at St. Johns lmao 😂
Tom Rob he sure did lol
Tom Rob lmaooooo
Lol bad choice of words!
STFU you dumbass people he was good at St John's
I always wondered what the story was!! This guy is the reason Duke Jason Williams goes by Jay
😭😭😭
Yeah that's true
Bryant Ray lol that’s a fact
His dialect is so Southern. 😂
Codycole80, I’m so Georgia and I LOVE it!❤️
Good job and nice interview.
Dope Vid Flex...
Flex needs to let ppl finish a sentence or thought! He always cuts ppl off near the end or when they are about to say something else then they lose their train of thought. Damn dawg!!
Jayson is a great story teller. I clicked this because I saw the a big, fine Black man. I thought I would get a good look and go. I've watched the entire video. I don't even like sports.
Classic. Well done guys! Bravo
Great interview
he use to play for New Jersey Nets...i remembered he caught a body and got arrested
