Do you know what is telling though and I'm not sure if folks caught it, is that when Gazidis starting calling out the names of the players on the wall, he said - ''Mavropanos, the one we spoke about''. I interpet that as a very bright future for Mavropanos under Emery, if of course the player applies himself.

By the Jan transfer window he'll be fluent in English I reckon. If he was confident enough to do his first press-conference in English, I have a feeling he'll do just fine. Besides half our squad either is or speaks Spanish so if he does need to pull anyone aside chances are they'll understand (Monreal, Bellerin, Cech, Mustafi, Aubameyang, Ozil, Mkhitaryan all speak Spanish).

yeah they all speak like 3-4 languages, Auba speaks english, french, spanish and italian, miki speaks like english, french, spanish, italian, russian, german etc and same with cech.
Ozil cant speak any Language Trust me...

Xhaka can spray a cross ball in open space but he can't defend, his positioning is dogshit, he's not mobile and he can't run with the ball. He can't even do two of the mentioned well. We conceded a lot of goals because of him. He needs to go IMO. Not suited for the prem. Would be fantastic in Italy.
Cech and Ospina aren't good enough, but I'd rather have Cech as back up and be the experience man for hopefully Leno if we get him.
If we weren't in Europa, I'd loan out a few of the youngsters. Iwobi has done nothing special since he came into the 1st team. He needs to prove himself to be a more consistent player. If we buy defenders, I personally think it would do Holding some good to go out on loan. Burnley wanted him last window I think.
As far as my controversial deadwood picks...if Ozil can't show work rate and intensity off the ball, he needs to go for me. The man goes missing for half a season. Can't be good for dressing room moral. I wouldn't want that in my team. Mhki's better suited to Emery's system behind Auba. Is there room for Welbeck with Laca and Aubameyang fighting up top? I dont know..we'll see how he does in WC. Wilshere...love the guy but we'll see if he signs a new contract let alone whether he can stay fit for another season.
That being said we have ZERO wide players. No magic out wide. I think we need a winger, a dm, a defender and a keeper more than anything. Unfortunately we don't buy unless we sell. This windows deadwood? Mustafi, Xhaka, Ospina. Bye bye.

Having to win by two away to one of the best sides in Europe at the time and doing so right at the end is far better than scoring two late goals at home to a 10- man relegation- threatened side.
