Mr Anderson is a senior officer himself as Vice Chair of the Conservative Party. He refers to Met Police Chief Chief wishing that should have had more more than five years absence of leave. During which time one might hope he could find something to do other than making a fool and nuisance of himself as an MP and sitting on the HO Select Committee. Tax payers deserve better. The whole point of protest is to disrupt, and to show the powerful that the people have had enough. The problem is those in power (Tories) want to hinder your right to protest because it gets in the way of their agenda. The only reason we have democracies and workers rights to begin with is because of protestors tearing down the older systems when the powerful pushed working people into horrible living conditions with poor pay.

As an ex Met officer I would have ripped the rotund Nottinghamshire Chappy up for arse paper had he had asked me those questions. I’m surprised the Commissioner didn’t do the same, but then he is somewhat bound to follow the pleasantries of political chess. There was one unfortunate part of the interview. Unless the law has changed, there is a POA under the Highways Act for Wilful Obstruction of the Highway.
