Honda’s MO usually is a redesign of a vehicle every 5 years. Since the 2021CRV is the 5th year of this design it would be a good guess that it will be redesigned for 2022.
I think the best CVT is the one found in the Corolla and Lexus UX 200 because it has a physical first gear. This gives it better off the line acceleration and it's also more durable. For example, you would be able to brake boost the Corolla CVT but not this Honda CVT.
They SERIOUSLY need to upgrade the horsepower and torque on this suv. I can only imagine what it would be like with 2.0 liter engine. And something like 220hp and 240lbs torque.
@@Iegend17 Yeah like my 2015 Lincoln MKC 2.0 AWD with 240hp and 270lbs torque. Yeah it MOVES...!!! But when i'm ready to trade not sure if this Honda is going too give me the same thrills as my Lincoln does when merging.
Good review. Brake boosting CVTs really doesn't do anything since the CVT has to spool up. This said, I've noticed that the torque converter launches pretty well, but then the CVT lags as it spools. This is just the nature of the CVT and the mechanics surrounding the design. I have also noticed a measurable difference in my K24W equipped 2016 CVT powered CR-V AWD when I used 3 tank fills of premium fuel. The SUV is substantially quicker with premium -- but only once the PCM adjusts to it. Honda says 87 or higher, so I pick higher.
You are right. Brake boosting doesn’t do anything. I have a 2018 accord 2.0t and brake boosting that thing is amazing haha. For the premium gas you are 100% right. For Honda putting premium gas you will be able to tell the difference. My 2013 when I used to put premium it would run smoother
Quite sly of Honda to only offer a tiny 5 inch screen with no apple carplay and no android auto in the base LX trim. This forces buyers to spend thousands more for a higher trim. I mean, even a base trim Chevrolet Spark LS trim has a 7 inch screen with apple carplay and android auto. Come on Honda!
My Honda CRV 2021 that was parked in my garage, and suddenly it started to make some bussing noise. I thought maybe it was the garage door opener’s noise, but it was coming from the car itself. Would you be able to explain this issue? Thank you.
Thank you for the advice. I went to the Honda dealership. It turned out that certain noises after shutting off engine are normal due to self-assessment process. Hopefully, this is it.

Yes you are right but actually sometimes it does turn off while the ac is on. Not all the time.
