I think that deep pocket in the front door is for a small umbrella, that is what I think. As an Express Tech who works on Cr-Vs all day, I love the Cr-V.
Here in Canada the exact same trim level (and actually the trim level below this one) also comes with a heated steering wheel as standard. It's quite nice for our long cold winters and the rear seats are also heated.
nothin' but black black black in the True North Strong and Free!! Nothing like this nice interior. And NO CD AT ANY PRICE???? BIG MISTAKE HONDA -- I was a dedicated fan
Mike, great job with this review (as always). I'm guessing the extra long space in the passenger door might be for an umbrella. The EX-L is my favorite package. This vehicle looks higher than normal, or it might just be me. Unrelated to this video, I was researching RV/Camper vans (intrigued about off-grid living) the other night and I clicked on a video and immediately noticed your personal trademark of "you backing the car over yourself" and I was delighted to watch a review by you from a few yrs ago. P.s, Really like how you end the video with showing the sticker price!
I have a 2014 Honda CRV EXL. The torque converter has caused problems from early on. It felt like something tire related and when Honda put a band aid fix on it at 8oK they charged me $700. The problem persists although at a lower level and getting worse again and it is a COMMON problem . The engine also makes a grinding noise when first started on a cool/cold morning and it has been pin pointed as the VTC actuator and replacing the item has not solved the problem for those who have done it and Honda refuses to acknowledge the problem as a design flaw. This problem has existed for several year models and is a problem they should have solved but they won’t and don’t. This car has some good points but the bottom line is that my trust in the brand as a solid engineering reliable brand has been ruined and I am not alone by a damn sight. The resale value is good despite the problems but when I sell it I will be looking elsewhere for a car.
Thank you for the video i enjoyed it especially the music in the end it has a nice traveling vibe And by the way the inside rear view mirror was in off mode for the auto dimming so you know
Wonderful solid, spacious, comfortable and fuel efficient SUV...but you do have to be careful of the inexplicably deep door pockets. On vacation my wallet went missing and we all went crazy looking everywhere, retracing steps, calling around, etc. We found it all the way in the back of that endless door pocket finally.
Great and very informative video (as always). I’m curious to know if you still have your RSX? I’m looking for a car to replace my Accord and I’d like to know how the RSX Base holds up over time.
There was a refresh for the 2020 model year. The changes are most prominent on the front end. The 2022 model is supposed to be the same, and then we’re supposed to get a whole new model for 2023, if we’re still alive for it.
Merry Xmas Mike ! Nothing about driving performances and figures. Interior is boring. Hopefully 2022 and beyond Honda make this SUV more aesthetically appealing. Auckland. NZ
This was some very good information. However, can you answer a couple of questions for us? #1 how do you get the head rests out when no one is back there - I'm only 5'4" and I hate that they seem they block a part of the window to me. Also #2 when I got my 2022 (which there is only limited info on) the child safety strap was connected to all the connections in the back, and I had to watch a video to figure out how to get it undone but then I had to figure out on my own how to tuck it in to the thing it goes into - you should definitely add that to your instuctional. And the very last question I have - is #3 - is there a way to have a separate volume for the android auto map and your usb stick that you are playing at the same time? (And also kind of an extention to #3 - you didn't explain that some of the usb ports are not a connection for music or android auto, and/or the ports in the back. Thanks for any of this extra info you can give. I am going to try that middle of the light thing because it has been driving me nuts that the upper middle light does not come on when the back is open. And also - the 2022 EXL does not come with the foot activated lift gate nor the heated steering wheel correct?
Most people are right handed so I wonder why they have the indicator stalk on the left side. That could be a bit annoying. But other than that this seems awesome and a lot better than other SUV's I’ve seen in other videos.
The turn signal indicator stalk has been on the left side of the steering column for over 80 years. www.secondchancegarage.com/public/history-of-turn-signal.cfm
@@MikesCarInfo Ah I just found out that in my country Australia almost all cars have it on the right side yet in countries that drive on the wrong side of the road it’s on the left side. That seems weird because it’s not like most people in those countries are left handed. Quite a conundrum 🤔
If you were looking at buying one of these cars in 2023, just know that they all have serious oil, dilution problems, and there is a class action lawsuit, and if you buy one, you will be mired in the fresh hell that has become Honda service.
I bought the same model car in 2021. Two or three days after, I found that the brake pedal could not be pressed when starting the car (need to press the brake pedal and button at the same time to start the car). The screen showed the method(press the pedal to start the car), so I had to follow it, but needed to repeat two or three times to start it. This happened occasionally after that. I drove to Honda Valley to report the problem to them twice. They checked both times and said they couldn't find the problem. However, the problem persisted since then. I don’t know what to do?
That is usually caused by the brake not being pressed hard enough. Power brakes are not activated when the vehicle is off so it takes more pressure on the pedal to apply brakes. If you don't push hard enough then the brake switch will not get activated and the vehicle will not start.
@@MikesCarInfo Hello Mike, Thank you for your reply. But the brake pad seems to be locked and cannot be pressed at all, no matter how hard you pressed. to fully start, I must pressed panel and hold the button, the car has power, but the engine does not start. So I have to repeat the second times or third times until the my car starts completely.
Still no standard LED headlights even in the XEL? That’s literally the only reason I didn’t buy the CRV. I wasn’t going to spend thousands of dollars for a limited to get decent headlights. These headlights are atrocious, can barely see with them.
Video started racing, and audio was lost during that time. I have no idea why. I was very interested in much of what he was trying to show of the interior, but it sped by so fast, I couldn't even tell what I was looking at. Not sure where the problem is here, but just wanted to let you know. The presentation I saw before it started speeding was really good, and I appreciated it very much. I wish I could see the whole video without the technical troubles.
Looks the same as the 2019. Still comes with easily-scratched cheap plastic interior trim and front/rear bumper black plastic which also scratches easily. (Like "butta.") Also, has Honda ever fixed the screen display problems, which cause random beeping and flashing? What a PAIN that is!
That deep door bottom is great for my wife's folding umbrella . She lives it
The little hand is a fantastic touch bro
Thanks 👍
Very Good video Sir. It covered all of the things I wanted to see when purchasing my new 2022 model. Great Job!!!

That is what I use mine for
Thank you I like your little assistant hand😁
I love the little stick hand. That’s so cute lol
Hahah sorry I forgot 2020s is a 2023
Best Honda video I have watched
I just got mine last week exact the same thing and it’s so cute and screaming. Thanks Honda
i just watched a 3 minute ad and it was pretty interesting
This content is awesome, I learned a few things about my crv I didn’t know. Thank s much. I subscribe your channel . Awesome details. Keep it up !!

Bought one yesterday after watching your video.,
Mike is Great! down to earth review! Good Job
Am getting mine Monday can’t wait 🙏
Great video, very detailed.
Thumbs up for the video, and the car.
Excellent job at vehicle presentation. A plus would be an additional "after dark" interior/exterior illumination demonstration.
Wonderful presentation!
Thank you for the details!
Fantastic video.
Thanks for the review, I just ordered mine today here in Australia.
"Great 🗣️ presentation" 👀, Thanks!👍
About time they got rid of that split tailgate. Will probably upgrade my mother into one of these from her ridgeline.
Thank you! Excellent video
This is the best video of the 21crv that i have seen. Thanks no ugly backgroung music is a good thing.

Awesome job with your videos anyway Mike!
very nice concise and no bias review

Really enjoyed don't know how but glad i subbed also like the in-depth reviews. Thanks so much, Deb.💯👌✌
What’s the thing at the top back of the car that’s like a small gray square shape that clicks in and goes down too?
Can’t wait for a redesign
2021 RAV4 is far nicer looking.
Wow! I'm surprised to see there's no extra charges for dealer installed accessories? Our dealer here in Southern California charges way much.
Great review. Thanks.
Thank you it's so helpful 😊
First rate as always Mike.
very good... just got a new 2021 CR-V EX-L and need to know what it has on it.. thx for sharing

That door pocket is for a small umbrella
Love East Coast Honda
I would say the deep cubby on front doors could be for a length of an umbrella.
That pointer is kinda creepy. But awesome job on the video.
thanks for the video.CRV hybrid or RAV 4 hybrid?which would you choose?
Excellent thanks for the info
Very helpful. Have a 2019 and would like this model.
@5:00 Minute, that is the umbrella's holder area
you never spoke about the oil dilution problem.
Who cares everyone is a millionaire and Honda says fuck you.
Shhhhhh, don’t talk about it and maybe it goes away like coronavirus.
not a bad looking suv. price is not bad as well.

I sold it to a friend and he still drives it every day. 180K miles and still going strong.
I replaced the catalytic converter at about 140k miles.
Are there any differences between the 2021 model vs 2017-2020..looks same to me..any word on a redesign?

Hope to see the Passport soon😉
I want a 4 runner instead please. They have a much better sleek interior and exterior
Plus the 4 runner is solid
Best video!!
What is Honda link?? Also, I thought this had navigation??
Looking to see if it has navigation system (GPS) built in ...🤔
No the touring model does. You can use the navigation on your phone and peoject it on the screen
Love this car

I make the rear seats for this vehicle. The 60 and 40s
Hey how to fold site mirror
Is there heated seat in this trim

nice car
Wanted you to report on the CVT performance. What happened, the dealership would not let you drive it?
What is the price and engine size?
That cute hand stick got me! Haha!
The back seats will recline a little!

SORRY I’M A TEXAN 🤷🤷🤷
Tennessee Right here. Lol. Exactly what I thought.
Why is the accord infotainment so much better
In 5min27sec I think it fits an umbrella.
Does the Honda crv exl 2021 shift gear light up? Like is it visible at night?
Where is the cigarette lighter located at?

The hand goes way in there 😂😂😂😂😂😂 this guy lol love him
Quando ela estará disponível no Brasil ?
Needs a auto trans with a 2.5T engine
Oil dilution?
The power passenger seat does NOT go up/down? That is strange.
I have a 2020 and it does up down all of the goodies
Hate it when dealers add stripes to vehicles.
Can i still trade my 2014 honda crv??
Does it have camera 360? Does it have 5 +2 or 5 seats?
Does the EX-L have auto folding power mirrors or no?
no

My grandparents have this car to replace their range rover
Where’s the CD player?
Dinosaur
I think for overall styling, the new Rogue and Santa Fe blows it away...........
My only complaint is Honda so stingy with horsepower on their CRVs...no option for 2.0L turbo?! Come on Honda!

Great review, very reliable but when are they going to change the design, so ugly...
👏👏
1.5T seems under power for SUV
I like the styling of the vehicle however this 1.5 engine is A total bumber. Drive one with 2 passengers and or Cargo. Its slow..
The latch for the hood just messed the whole car up smh
actual first
