I've been following you for years and to me, you truly defy the laws of physics with the guitar. No one plays quite like you, or makes shred look so effortless and elegant. Always a pleasure to hear your next riff, Rick.
Don't know if you'll see this Rick, you taught my younger brother guitar for a short while about a decade ago. He bounced off of it and I think you stopped teaching around that time, but I ended up picking it up as a little hobby as the guitar was just there, and took it seriously a few years later. I doubt I would have ever started otherwise. I even remember looking up who you were and just being blown away, just dreaming of being that good, but it's been awesome watching all of your videos over the years and just being driven to keep playing myself. Learning guitar changed my life completely, and it's indirectly because of you, so can't thank you enough for that man. Sorry if that's a bit corny, but I genuinely mean it. Big fan regardless of that, everything you put out is solid gold.
Rick, i havent played for last 8 months.. you are trully insiration to get me back to guitar by uploading this vid. the most i can watch is me failing at guitar. you ARE THE LEGEND !!!!
man am i proud to know that rick grahams out there. Hes one of my biggest heros and now I can show people why in one video. Thanks for everything rick mate
The solo starting at 9:35 is my alltime favourite, because it has the most variety, pause, restraint AND just the right amount of shred explosion as well...
I love going back and watching your older videos. I think your RG560 was my favorite guitar you've owned. Although of course I really love your signature Charvel! Your RG560 was actually a very rare one too, it was the Guitar Center 27th Anniversary model. Only made in 1991, I'm not sure how many were made but it's safe to assume it's very few.
Rick, It is great to hear and see again some of the videos you have made over the last 10 years or more. You set a high bar for yourself and I am thankful for you sharing your music. I speak for many who respect you for being who you are. And you should be proud to know how awesome your videos are. I clearly see that you are still growing and reaching for new heights. Thank you and never stop growing as a musician and world class guitar player.
I've been following your journey for a long time now and it's so amazing to see how much you've developed over the years. Everything you play looks so easy and so effortless. I hear 1000 notes but you barely move your hands and fingers. Evertthing's so clean as well. I always come back to your guest solo with Andy James. One of the craziest solos out there. I love how wide your style is as well. You've made some very beautiful acoustic tunes and I love your phrasing and tone. A remarkable guitarist and person. Thank you Rick for your inspiration! ❤
Rick your always so brilliant and I just love your picking attack is spot on you can hear every awesome note that you play lastly thank you for your time with your wonderful guitar lessons
So many players that have your technical ability have ZERO feel and trash vibrato, no ability to play a bit bluesy at all. Your phrasing, feel, and intervallic approach is flawless and your vibrato is very intense. Your determination is inspiring.
Michael Angelo is always bragging about how fast he is but i think this guy wipes the floor with him! Much cleaner!!! You can really hear the note separation!😱
As an experienced musician, I have been inspired by your lessons and techniques for many years. Especially when I didn't know what to do next with playing the guitar. Thank you very much for all these moments! You are really good :)
Seeing how good you play motivates me and depresses me at the same time, I feel like I'm stuck and can't improve my skill or speed despite all the time and efforts.
Rick Graham ... My #1 internet guitarist. Thank you for all the incredible music and endless inspiration. Bucket list goal to see you play live sometime. Your techniques, tone, endless melodic ideas and your competitions ... top shelf along side of Holdsworth, Johnson, Becker, Bach and Paganini. Cheers Mate 🎵
Your playing is so unbelievable, and you have helped me SO much with my playing. Since trying to learn your musical passages through the TH-cam tutorials it has brought my playing to levels that I didn’t think I could get to. Thanks so much man 🤘
Rick is sick! Mesmerising guitar technique combined with great melody, harmony, rhythm, dynamics and also with ultimate feel. Truly inspiring stuff! Have a great day 🎸🔥🤘
He is a different guitarist, with clarity in his notes, his own identity and style in his technique and improvisation. He plays furiously, full of energy, with surreal speed and without ever losing the feeling... my favorite backing track at 2:02. Long live Rick!
Great vid Rick, a total joy to watch and listen to! Loved that you stuck in a bunch of melodic stuff too, I think you're better at that than tearing up the board!
I loved the melodic stuff you have. Like Satriani kind of thing. Not jamming but melodic. I guess its the point of play. To convey emotion. You are great! I love your persistence
Stunningly brilliant. At some points I think even the guitar gets scared at the level of total domination unleashed on it haha what I love about your playinhg besides the technical wizardry is the clear mastery of the music itself. Your classical training is such a cool influence and must help so much I'm figuring it all out. Hope your doing good man. All the best bro
I admire your patient and devotion to practicing because no one gets this good without putting in the hours. Same as as with hanging out at the gym daily to get ”that” body.
No one on God's green Earth can wring emotion from a single note like Uncle Rick. The bending and vibrato are just sensational. That's what sets a guitarist apart from the masses. Pete 🏴
Really would love to hear a Metal/fusion album from this guy. His technique is off the fucking charts and I always go back to listening to his guest solo on Andy James Victory. One of the best solos ever! Rick great to see you upload again. Hope you are doing extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemely well!
Whenever I hear or see Rick playing I think to myself this has to be the most precise technique in the guitar world. The cascading runs, excellent phrasing and melody, signature harmonic squeals and muted legato and I come to the realisation, I SUCK😂 Thanks for giving the guitar players out there something to strive for. Cheers mate.
Great stuff! Do you use your fingers in combination with the pick on the high runs? Do you have a video with this kind of exercise? I just can't finger how to be able to do this and keep a fluid motion without screwing the legatos.
Rick went from terrible begginer to mildly acceptable intermediate in just 10 years , just kidding you are insane , i've been watching ever since man you are amazing.
You forgot a 0
It would definitely seem that he's been playing 100 years, lol
He meant "10 years 24 hours/day"
I think he forgot two..
True. 😅
Boy, I wish that I was that good when I started playing. YAH bless!!!
You don't know me, Rick, but you are such an inspiration to me and countless others. Thank you for all you do, my guy!
Cleanest guitarist out there I swear!
But still no Wonderwall keep practicing Rick think you'll get there eventually. Hope my encouragement helps you maestro.
Someday is gonna be the day, that the day is gonna be the day

Imagine being taught by Rick.
You'd be walking outta your first lesson as a guitar fucking legend.
Keep on playing dude. It’s not a race. Just try to build everything else off of what you’ve learned.
Rick, thanks for being here. We love you.
I hope you're feeling better and kicking ass, Rick. Thoughts are with you.
One of the most skilled guitarists alive!
Rick, i havent played for last 8 months.. you are trully insiration to get me back to guitar by uploading this vid. the most i can watch is me failing at guitar. you ARE THE LEGEND !!!!
I understand, I haven't practiced properly for the past 3 years due to health reasons. Feels so good to finally be playing again. All the best mate!

The last clip, "Killer shred technique" is LEGEND
So many players that have your technical ability have ZERO feel and trash vibrato, no ability to play a bit bluesy at all. Your phrasing, feel, and intervallic approach is flawless and your vibrato is very intense. Your determination is inspiring.
Rick, you are an inspiration and a gift. Keep shredding, my dude!

Michael Angelo is always bragging about how fast he is but i think this guy wipes the floor with him! Much cleaner!!! You can really hear the note separation!😱

You're not bad either
Live long and prosper, master
The raw just sheer energy poured into that "intro solo" on that pink Ibanez just still give me the chills... the pick attack...

That version of "You are my Sunshine" is so beautiful.
Wow best play player out there right now! Loved the hybrid picked etude thing at 13:25 - not heard that one before!
So great so fluid, great inspiration 🎸cheers from Chile
That Fender “ Strat sound” plus it sounds like you always have new strings, right outta the box! 😊
Fuck yeah! That practice paid off as music to my ears!!
You sound amazing on all these clips. You're the kind of player that guys like Petrucci look up to. Keep up the great work!
I admire your patient and devotion to practicing because no one gets this good without putting in the hours. Same as as with hanging out at the gym daily to get ”that” body.

You're awesome, Rick!!!!
It just blows my mind how such incredibly difficult licks can look so effortless and relaxed.
Progress? That’s the highest level of shredding the entire time.

This is just pure madness
Not to be too weird about it but, I fucking love you.
Everytime I watch your videos, I feel extremeeeeeeeeeeemely well 😂
