There were a few people talking to me, ( I'm typically a very good listener), but I didn't hear a word they were saying to me, because of the lyrics of this song! I have enjoyed the Neil Young version of this song since the late 1970s, but your rendition blows that away. The Alberta imagery is extremely powerful.
Jessica, not only is the arrangement of this song brilliant, your beautiful voice defies words. The beauty of life is always found in expressions that are so simple it captivates the essence of our being. Your personalized version of this well written song did just that. Neil Sedaka once said to Clay Aiken after Clay's incredible performance of 'Solitaire' that the song now belongs to him. I think Ian Tyson would proudly say 'Four Strong Winds' now belongs to you. Wow… this has been a favourite song for a long time but somehow in this version Jessica you have brought even more emotion to Ian’s lyrics… the arrangement is awesome!!

John, I think this the BEST one, truly. I personally never give a thumbs down because I don’t think it serves a positive purpose. I follow one YT channel in which the poster requests folks to thumb up or thumb down since both tell YT that we’ve interacted with the video and such.

In an evening being bored, by luck I discovered you, Mrs Rhaye, what a lovely voice and music. Peter Mancini, Southern England;
At the risk of putting a damper on things, I really wish that singers wouldn’t take so many liberties with a song’s melody. I don’t mind changes to some of the phrasing, but altered melodies can really bug the hell out if me. The song was perfect the way Ian Tyson wrote it. Changing it just for the sake of change is pointless. That being said, she does have a really good voice, but it would have sounded better if she had sung the original melody. I feel the same way about Bobby Bare’s version - the way he altered the melody makes it unlistenable for me. Too bad - some artists just go overboard trying to be different.
