This is a cool workaround. I'm looking for users and total revenue and those aren't populating in the event name filter, so this won't work for me in this instance, but I'd try again if I knew the events were available to me.
If you use Shopify, we can do as part of our new GA4 reporting tool. It uses the GA4 reporting API so we don't need to use hacks like this. We're adding custom reports for free to early users so let me know if you're interested. shorturl.at/qyMeL

What about showing total pageviews and total users on the same line chart? This was standard in UA, and the bright minds at Google said, "let's just get rid of the most standard feature that every user expects to see on their analytics dashboard."

How do I know the event name for other variables I am interested in?
