It's weird seeing how consistently he was achieving 8.50m+ jumps, considering how those kind of jumps are rarely seen, even nowadays
Probably he was on juice. I was seeing some articles that athletics at that time they werent so rigid with drug testing, mostly because of politics. Now its different, its really strange.
@@victorthanosdrakopoulos2650 you can't seriously compare drugs from the. To now. Do you know how advance drug exploits are these days? I would dare say 85% of the these type of atheltes are on PEDs

Carl lewis was our supermann in the 80s,nothing compares with him he was very egoistic for winning everything,legendary was his behaviour against Daley Thompson the British olympic champ in Dekathlon they both couldn't smell each other!!!

KInda creepy how they show Powell collapse into the pit then Carl sitting there like nothing happened but maybe they werent friends, at least not at that moment. I met Carl at a bicycle show selling a funky combo-bike for workouts, he seemed to have about 2 seconds to talk to anyone unless you were buying, thats the feeling I got from him and I wanted so bad to get the chance to praise his achievments and talk to him but he just was not approachable, oh well it was still nice to see him, lot smaller than he looks on TV.
