- This time we have the Valvoline Champ extra 4T 10W-30 Scooter engine oil. Honda Activa got the engine oil change done where we changed to Valvoline Champ extra 4T 10W-30 engine oil. Valvoline Champ extra 4T scooter meets with the latest API SN standards. As the Valvoline Champ extra 4T is a scooter engine oil it is a JASO MB engine oil. I have noticed some issue after using LiquiMoly MoS2.
There is bit more foaming when compared to using only engine oil without MoS2.
When I checked further in foaming causes, I found that "Solid Contamination" is one of the major factors.
As MoS2 is a solid additive (although contained in mineral oil), it may cause foaming.
I request you to keep observing any engine oil which is being used with LiquiMoly MoS2 and let me know if there is any foaming issue.
As due to foaming, lubrication is reduced.

Please make a detailed video and test for Valvoline Full synthetic 5w30 engine oil. I recently used this in my wagonR. But I'm curious to know about its actual performance.
Since im new to the gearless scooter universe with Jupiter 125 being my first gearless purchase, it delivered smoothness and a decent mileage of 50kmpl on the stock TVS skuuta oil that came prefilled.
But i wanted a synthetic oil for it & TVS recommended their own tru4 motorcycle oil at the first service. However, the engine became rough and there was a mileage drop to 42 to 45kmpl with similar riding conditions as I was still breaking in the engine.
I did some search & finally went with the Shell Advance AX7 semi synth oil for scooters. Thankfully, the smoothness & the mileage is restored.
I will definitely look into valvoline champ for the next oil change.

Are you saying that the synthetic oil didn’t help? Did it make the engine feel smoother? Thinking of getting synthetic oil in my next service for Jupiter 125 but confused now. Don’t mind slightly less mileage as long as engine feels smoother and heats lesser
@@manishpandey4278 Specifically the TVS tru4 synthetic didn't help. Shell AX7 semi synth is doing a great job. Far better than the stock mineral oil that came from the factory and definitely alot better than the TVS's own fully synthetic oil.
Also, i don't know if TVS service centre would allow any other brand of oil to be used even if the grade remains the same. I did the oil change myself.

Do you prefer MB oils for scooters? I am doing short distances (3-4km) and my oil is breaking down very easy (after 2-3000km). I have a piaggio scooter that suggests 5w-40. Which oil do you think is the best in this viscocity? Thank you!
I would prefer Castrol power 1 ultimate over any oil available in market. I've already used 3 bottle on my Jupiter which is currently clocked @37000km and still returns 60km/l milage if it drove under economy speed and can cruise 60+ kmph without any vibration or tress on engine.
I just purchased this mobil for my ntorq bs-4… i hope it will perform well.

I've been using Castrol power 1 on my access bs6 since a year and it's going great. I do change it every 2500 kms. It's very smooth till now and doesn't heat up much either.
And i am using on jupiter. Super happy with castrol power1 ultimate.
Only 2500kms? For its value it should go till 4000kms at least
@@sourabhpanse it won't buddy, because access uses only 650ml. It's not good for the engine if it runs a lot, especially we use it in city conditions. Oil breaks down faster in such high heat conditions for such low volumes. If it's 900ml or so, then you can stretch it till 3k. If you think of oil value, imagine the damage that could do to the engine and how much you'll have to spend on that?! This is fraction of that cost so it's more valuable to change it before 3k kms.

Try Polytron MTC in any of OE spec oil, makes hell of difference in NVH, engine heating and in mileage. You can use same in Fork oil, transmission oils too, I am using MTC in TVS oil in NTORQ, amazing results

I bought yamaha ray zr 125 hybrid last week. Daily running is above 40 kms, mostly in highway, city usage is low. Also maintaining speed between 30-55kmpm. Mostly runs with pillion. Also there is many steep incline roads in my area with puts stress on my engine. Now it completed 800 kms. So do you think i did engine break i correctly?. In some articles, it mentions that do not go for long runs, i mostly ride 30-40kms in single stretch. Also not to put much load on a new engine and maintain low rpm. Once i give throttle, the scooter rise to high rpm with minor vibrations. In other scooters i ridden, its not rising rpm as Much as ray zr.
Mostly the engine is running on middle rpm than economic rpm.

There would not be any issues. Your scooter is already breaked in from the factory. As part of QC, every scooter is checked by revving the engine to the max rpm, before it leaves the assembly line. Sure, after purchase you are advised to ride slowly for first 1000km. But that is only because the factory filled engine oil would contain ultra-fine metal particles and you have to change that engine oil before using the engine to its full potential. So no need to worry about stuff like breaking in.

@@thesportztourer It has been my go to since 2013. 3500kms is what I have found is the sweet spot to change the engine oil. I have done about 97kph on the speedo with my head ducked a few times. Engine didn't feel or sound strained to my ears. Plus I have always used Premium Higher octane fuel.

the biggest thing on oil is your engine condition.. no matter how expensive your scooter if your scooter is already worn out it wont help but it adds protection until it last
the manufacturer's recommendation for my scooter is 10w40 for my next oil change im thinking of using 10w50..

Yeah its totally safe. 10w grades are working fine even in the hottest regions of India. Always stick to the manufacturer recommended grade to get max FE and engine life.

Tvs synthetic engine oil is itself good, engine knocking n jerks maybe because of some other reason kindly get it check at service center, I own apache 160 4v special edition no issue till date with the engine oil.

Can it be used with JASO MA scooter . I have Maestro regular . If it can be used in Activa regular i think so it can be used in mine as well

@@thesportztourer today ordered shell advance AX7 semi synthetic. My mechanic has put castrol 4T which was used in motorbikes. He doesn't know that oil is different for bikes and scooter. Mileage dropped to 30 from 38. Let me use this oil then I'll edit this comment what is the difference

I used full syn Mobil and got my mileage droped

Activa Bs6 runs best on 5w30 grade. My friends Activa 125 Bs6 has done 40000km on factory service and used only Honda genuine 5w30 oil. The scooter is running really smooth without any issues. You can try Veedol scooter 5w30 or Castrol Power1 Ultimate 5w40.

@@akupegu1622 Honda engines are tighter bro. They take upto 10k km / 3 oil changes to open up completely. When new, my friends Activa was hesitating to go above 60kph and had too much engine braking when you leave the throttle. But after 3rd service or so, the engine opened up completely and now it happily cruises at 70 - 80 kph.
Also, Activa 125's initial throttle response is dulled for getting max mileage and jerk free ride. Acceleration is strong post 50kph, but till 50, pickup is a bit slow. Engine oil cant improve it bro, its how the fuel injection system has been tuned.

Bro I recently purchased an Honda Sp125 for my daily college use. Bro my honda showroom is putting oil from iron dabba and its horrible to ride bike after 500km of oil use, vibrations are abundant while reaching 1700km so I changed to motul 5100 semisyntetic. Bro I have 6 years warranty. Yesterday the service center called me for service and I asked them that can you put honda throttle 10w30 100percent synthetic oil in my motorcycle but they told me that the grade recommended for my motorcycle is 5w30 but the service manual tellls me that I can use both 5w30 and 10w30. So I contacted the horrible Honda customer care and the techical person doesn't have any knowledge and he tells things from internet. The honda technician from customer service told me to contact service center in my area. My warranty will be invalid if I don't service my motorcycle in service center, so if I don't need warranty services will the company give back the money I gaved for 6 years warranty.
I have faced a similar problem with my Honda Dio. Honda service is absolute garbage and the oil they put for the scooter is terrible for the bike. I'm not sure if you'll get your warranty back but if you prefer Honda service for everything else except the engine oil, try requesting them to do the general service without changing engine oil. Some service centres agree to do that. But yes, putting another engine oil in your vehicle will void your warranty. No doubt.

My friend was facing the same issue on his Bs6 Activa 125. Now after covering 40k km, the engine is ultra smooth that too on Honda genuine oil. The scooter is factory serviced and only Honda 5w30 oil has been used till date. Honda engines are tighter and need little more time (upto 7-8k km) to properly open up. You need to be patient and use the Honda 5w30 oil (black bottle), and I am sure the bike would become super smooth after 2 oil changes.
@@manu201022 even for my CB350 from Honda Bigwing this same 5w-30 grade is used. But engine performs better smooth in my south India hot temperature

Few months back I did make a plan but these batteries are expensive and sadly I was running low on funds for the lab test video so had to give priority to the lab test. Even now their are two upcoming lab tests which will reveal some interesting insights. Lithium Ion batteries are definitely coming on the channel with their pros and cons but it will take some time 😊

Asked Toptul on Amazon regarding the calibration, they said any nabl certified will do. For mechanical type torque wrench it's okay but for this electronic type that answer is not confidence inspiring.
Also videos on ATF oils and engine oils which meet oem specification like vw 505 01 standard(important cuz people put incompatible oil sometimes).

I posted this a year back on your channel but got no reply. So posting my review of Valvoline scooter engine oil. I had changed my oil to Valvoline n did very heavy highway use of my Hero Pleasure . The oil did perform well in city conditions but when riding for long distances Delhi to Dehradun the performance was very poor. I had to make regular pitstops n low performance could be felt. Also major issues were there in cold start I feel oil lacks friction busters. Finally on mountain roads if engine is hot the oil performs well but if scooter is left outside in cold next morning you will be kick starting the vehicle.
After Valvoline I had changed back to Mobil One and performance was back . I did one run of 300 KM on hero pleasure and engine performance was much smoother. So from my usage it's a Thumbs down for Valvoline.

Gulf pride is best for activa. Valvoline is good but not as good as gulf pride.

Motul 5w40 scooter oil is the best. U can notice very good fuel efficiency. Gives good engine life. But it is little expensive than other oils. Go for motul👍
