Nice review. I've had my GT Scout about two months now and couldn't be happier with it. The action is crazy smooth and the Elmax blade is hard to beat. The carbon fiber inserts are beautiful and it is really light to carry.
I like my Recon-040. Works great, and is easy to deploy and retract. Also the frame is machined / milled with CNC's, not cast for sure. Great review! 🤠👍
Thanks for the video. It's nice to see a review on the regular one instead of a $500 custom. You mentioned it a little bit on the switch, but how's the grippyness on the knife? I had a Recon 035 that felt like a bar of soap even with my hands dry. I noticed there's more jimping than on the Recon 035, but the sides look just as slick. Also from what I've dug up, their Dark Stonewashed is their black coating (some have said KG Gun Kote) that they stonewash for that worn in look.
@@edged_mindset That sucks. I'm glad I didn't buy one. That's something I'll never understand about OTFs in why the same grip as a magic marker unless you're spending $600. The only one that seems immune is the Hogue Compound with an aluminum chassis surrounded by G10, but those are also getting rare and hard to find. Like I said, if you ever sell that Hera Frag, let me know. 👍
Love the content I just bought Guardian Tactical Scout and Kershaw Livewire. I would never deal with Microtech they do not care about their customers. Was all set to buy couple of Microtech and tried to email them and called as well never got back to me. Maybe I should have sent smoke signals they would have got back to me LOL. Guardian Tactical much better Kershaw great as well stay away from Microtech POS COMPANY!!!!!!
Sorry I am upset sent a email over a week ago and left message on their customer service recording this past Monday they did not pick left clear message with my number no call back also. If I would have a problem with Microtech I would have to think I will have a paper weight I would be in trouble. Thank you again for all the great video I have learned a lot and still.
is the Guardian tactical worth the $50 over the livewire? right now the live wire is in the low 200s. between the two, which one is your favorite and why?

So smooth huh!
I do like the dark stonewash, as it really masks any nicks or marks. It's a good pre-used look.

The handle is pretty slick honestly. No texture to speak of

Look at the newer Scout that is cheaper and has a milled aluminum handle that has greater traction than carbon fiber.
Did you hang on to this knife ? I've been pondering about getting one .
Yes I still have it. I highly recommend them.
Been looking at a GT now this
