I have a NEXON petrol. till 2nd service i got 13.4 kmpl in city drive and 22 to 28 on highway drive. After 3rd service I found "CITY" mode has more pickup then before but the average is brought down to 10kmpl in city drive and 13 kmpl in highway. So then started with "ECO" mode in city drive and i am getting 13kmpl as ECO mode has now more power. I have tried all permutation and combination and get in to conclusion that all depends on how air/petrol intake setting. If it tuned to give more pickup in ECO then you can drive it in CITY. you can monitor your average bar for all your permutation and combination and you get to know the behavior/response of your car. And you can wisely drive to get your expectation fulfilled.
Mileage speed ke upar depend nahi hai.. rpm pe depend hai. If you drive Nexon petrol at 2000rpm or below in highway u will get 18-19 mileage. If you drive at 1500rpm then u will get 20-21 mileage or even more .. but the speed you can drive for this rpm will be 80-110kmph ..
Please check (all nexon owner): grade of engine oil. Most of the dealership filled the engine oil 5W30. But it is not recommended for BSVI engine. Please check and refill 0W20 engine oil. It will helps to improve the overall experience and mileage of the car

If we set eco mode at the speed of 80 or above in case we need to overtake or break speed and over take immediately eco mode can provide lag in movement and hence could be dangerous
MID reading is not accurate at all. There is a difference of 5-6 point between MID and actual reading. Although it is giving bad mileage in the city but on the other hand it is giving good mileage on the highway. I got a mileage of 24-25 on the highway with smooth driving.
Instance fuel indicator ka aap jo bol rahe ho....if it reaches more than mid toh car average nahi deti...but mai toh highway pe chalata hun for long journey and if speed is maintained woh toh 75% se uper he line show karti hai... and it gives me near about 22-23 avg...samruddhi highway pe it reaches 25 kmpl on display...
Ur video milega points are good but general with good riding habits. My Nexon giving max 8-9 kmpl in city traffic and am quite confident with driving techniques. Do u have any technical or engineering solution for better mileage? In any condition it should not give this mileage.

@sanjaykariyanna6367 : I have diesel Nexon 7 months old completed 14K km. Highway mileage 14-16kmpl & city 8-11kmpl. Out of 10 cars from Tata at least 4 cars will have this issue. And we need to live with this. Tata service center guys simply will tell its driving issue, vehicle is new, 3 services has to complete etc.. instead of accepting and addressing the issue.
8.5 to 11 depends upon traffic conditions and driving pattern. Don't expect too much from Nexon petrol.Due to heavy build quality and turbo engine mileage drops significantly in heavy traffic.

Nothing to worry about this you can easily set on sportz mode whenever you need but yes agree with you regarding lag in ECONOMIC mode ….

3rd point is wrong. if ac is on then it will reduce mileage and the level of temperature or fan speed will not change the mileage.
