Mac primarily uses a Roland CR-78 drum machine, like you vaguely mentioned. The DR-55 is almost identical, but it's not quite the same, and it was also produced by a Roland subsidiary (Boss). The DR-70 (which I assume is actually the DR-770) is like so off (it was released 20 years after the CR-78) so don't use that one lol
