Time to buy this van and stop paying rent on my apartment! 😂
100% Agree 👍🏻
After owning mine for 7 months, there are issues that need to be addressed #1 : rear differential delivered with minimal gear oil. Some damage noted by dealer.#2: tire rub on fender liners is a big problem. There is a recall on this but no solution. #3: 80 mph speed limiter on van, has put me in a few dangerous situations while passing.Idaho, Utah, Arizona, and Nevada all have a speed limit of 80 mph and getting around semis is a problem. Had I known of these issues, I would have used the $12000 to build a regular van out.
I like the Transit overall. I've seen some pretty sweet conversions made with it. But a stripped-down cargo van with AWD (which is NOT 4x4 for anyone wondering) and bottom-end AT tires for $70K? Nope. Hard pass. It's worth about half that...tops. Don't get me wrong, it's cool that Ford has put something like this out there and it's generally a good van, but it's just not worth the money. Of course, some fool out there will buy it and Ford will use that as fodder to continue to gaslight the rest of the public, saying, "That's just how much vans cost nowadays." No, it's not inflation, it's greed. Best thing to do is leave stuff like this to rot on the lot until the manufacturers are bleeding money so badly they have no choice but to come back to reality.
Last time i checked ralley vehicles aren't 4x4
I see a lot of them at $71k-$74k or so MSRP. 360 cam and a couple other things optional. Not only do they not have a $10k ADM anymore, some dealers are waiving del/destination/lic fees at about $2200. They overestimated demand. Newberg Ford in Oregon has a sea of these sitting on their lot right now.
I actually got one from newberg myself. Great platform and drives very well. Newberg is one of the biggest transit dealers in USA so they received a large allocation of transit trails. That being said use their inventory as a negotiation tactic!
I own multiple vehicles..this and my TRX are my favorite!!❤
Thanks Ben. Have been waiting to see one of these. Nice that Ford builds it ready to go, just do your buildout and done.
11k seems like a lot for the tires and lifting of the van. Seems like a good power train for the van.
Did I see 7 miles per gallon??? Oh my😮
How do they have so many Mavericks back there???
Nice Van
Question what was the size of fuel tank
Thanks
What about chevy express i know it's old but it shouldn't be forgotten
It even looks rugged & ready to transform for multiple purposes…go Ford !!!
Ben that window sticker was for a 2023, as prices went up on the EcoBoost and the Trail pkg in 24. Also some options are no longer avail that showed there. Older van review republished?
What's the tow rating..... I wish you would mention that more on your videos
Says 7700 lbs on the HD hitch.
The Trail has the same old shocks/struts as the regular transit, correct?
Ty for sharing the review, this package is so kool, really wish they offered it in passenger trim ...
p.s. $70k for pretty much an empty striped out van is bonkers
Placed my order!
Can you do a 2024 Hyundai Santa fe review?
Too expensive
What exterior color is this?
Nice to know you can get it without the turbos a little overpriced but I guess everything is today. But it would have been nice to seeing solid steel bumpers with hooks and a way to put a winch on. Even if they had to use plastic bumpers and put metal hooks on the frame.
Ford built a fantastic van you probably hall stuff in it or you can live in it
What’s the MPG?
Nice.
Engine bay is a mess. Overall it is a good first draft. Ford won’t iterate anything other than the F series so this will languish and then be discontinued. If you’re a $F shareholder, you have a quandary. Should you fire the engineers, the managers or both?
4x4 or rwd ? Looks amazing.
Neither. An AWD.
Definitely plenty of room to work on the engine.
Cause the batts are under the driver seat.
Only trail has 2inch lift.. and you are paying 11k extra
TELL FORD COMPANY CHANGE DESIGNS, PUT V6 ENGINE without Long Timing Chain OR ELECTRIC MOTOR must able travel 900km. Customer buyer can choose OPTIONS V6 Petrol motor extra cost approx. $9000 or normal 4 cylinder motor or Electric Motor extra $.
Not Suitable for Heavy Loaded like 50 x clothes to shirt to pants each 50KG weight or Pallet Coconuts 100 x 20KG or Bricks to Soils or Stones or timber beam buildings. Use Hino Truck.
Customer can pay extra for v6 engine and stronger tail shaft to the ford factory for heavy load uses.
That's a mid-roof model?
70k smh 🤦
Let alone yet ford recalled them because of tire rubbing
Just checked out the new 2024 Trail, and BOUGHT a new Mercedes High Roof AWD Diesel. The Mercedes is waaaaay nicer fit and finish. the technology is outstanding on the MB, the cameras , gauges, fit and finish , the quality of the seats, the door panels, headliner, EVERYTHING on the Mercedes is nicer...and just about the same price. The ford is like an Amazon delivery van, with a eco boost engine in it. That's it. It is no way worth 70k+ for a ford cargo van. The MB ride and handling, superb. The high output diesel is peppy, and plenty of torque. Maybe you're not gonna pull with it, but that's not the purpose. I got 22mpg on my first tank, my friend with a Trail got 15. that is also ridiculous. Don't be fooled by the "what about repairs", come on...Mercedes diesel vs a Ford gas motor?? Longevity, reliability,...."dealer network". Having owned Ford trucks in the past, you'd better have a good dealer network. Buy the MB.
These vans were 35k to 55k in 2017 wtf
That was before the trendy bohemian romance of vanlife
AWD didn't come out until 2020
@@ronaldwietecha you on the right thread?
@@puzzleheaddesign3789 I believe I am. Why do you ask?
@@ronaldwietecha are you suggesting that because they offer AWD now is the reason the price near doubled?
7 mpg 😢
2024 Ford Transit 350 Trail 3.5L EcoBoost 10-Speed Automatic AWD Medium Roof Cargo Van!
** think it's the Medium roof ...
Can you ordered & get the Ford Co-Pilot360™* Active 2.0 Prep Package on the 2024 Ford Transit Trail?
You can get the Sync 4 IACC Nav is a $885 option which has what your looking for but no Lane Centering...
A "Trail" trim for a cargo van is WILD to me 😂 Interesting concept for sure. This would've been nicer than the Ford Transit's I drove while delivering for Amazon 🤣
Honestly it kinda does make sense bc a lot of people do use these for conversions and even if it’s not a conversion lots of people take these vans to the mountain to go skiing
