I saw the problems you had with windy conditions. I used to weld up vw's when they weren't that old 🤣🤣I used a couple of old dress shop garment rails and a welding blanket to make a temporary wind break. It worked a treat and I could weld on windy days no problem.
Hey mate, yes thank you so much 😊 it feels really good putting new pieces back on I’ve still got a long way to go and a lot more to save up for but it’s going in the right direction 🤘
Hi mate been great watching your videos, i have been putting off weld repairing my van which is nowhere near as bad as yours, (no offence). But i now have made some effort to get on with it. Great videos and love your chilled attirude to it.
Hi mate, thank you for your comment 😊 just take your time with your van little bit at a time and try not to get frustrated with it. Before you know, it it will be sorted and good for another few years 🤘😊
Schofields should post the cable tubes ,they normally cut them in half and send a sleeve to re join them, would be worth giving them a call , admiration for what you’re doing ,most would walk away from that much work, top work fella 👌🤙🏻
Hello mate, thank you for your comment I’ll definitely give them a call and have a chat. 🤘 thanks I’ve had so many mixed comments saying why don’t just buy a van that’s up and running reason being I can’t afford a van that is running and also you never know what’s underneath the paint work at least this way I know exactly what is what once it’s finished I admit, I’m no expert, but I’m definitely gonna give it a go and save the old bus 😊
Looks a nice project, it's great putting new bits in. My 79 Bay is in a similar state, I should of used a few body cuts like you I might of saved a few quid.... Is that your Series 3 Landy too? Gluten for punishment 😂🤙
Its an absolute nightmare we live quite close to the coast, its alway windy and also sea spray as soon as I clean a piece of metal up it I have to paint it straight away otherwise it rusts instantly. Not ideal for Volkswagens 🤣

Hello mate, yes Iv welded with gasless wire before it’s not too bad but it is dirty leaves, a lot of slag and carbon
Nice to see my jacking leg going on 😅. Coming along nicely 👍🛠️🚐
