    I like the fact that he pronounces "Romania" in every other sentence and, then, throws in the other word, "Soviet," in every, say, 6th sentence, no matter what he is talking about. This guy is funny, but, hey!, he loves Romania, and that's all that matters to me, as a Romanian.

      I think this guy is really confused. He doesn't know the difference between the Soviet countries and other socialist /communist European countries that were never part of the Soviet Union like Romania, Hungary, Poland, East Germany, etc. The only former Soviet countries that are in EU today are three baltic countries Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. Claiming that East Germany was part of Soviet Union sounds just as bad as saying that West Germany was part of United States. He needs to educate himself before spreading false information on TH-cam.

      @@valsobe4638 Ok, but besides that he's saying this hotel looks Communist in its architecture. Which it *does not,* lol.
      It was built in the 2000s by an Italian hotel chain, which is where the name comes from... Has nothing to do with the Communist period & it doesn't look Soviet.

    We usually don’t use the amenities in an international hotel, but have used the pool and restaurants in US hotels. I think we are just trying to see as many sites as we can see when we travel internationally and don’t have time to hang out at the hotel! Love these videos!

      "A world without privileges for wealthy people". If he has access to such a hotel and it is treated like a human being... If it is "open" and being a random human being is a more important value than being "someone" "affluent"... it's "Soviet" /"communist"...

    • @emanuellamba5828

      As I saw many people talking about soviet buildings here in romania, I believe they try to say that it resembles the soviet architecture, and we also got some buildings gifted by the USSR which are 100% soviet

    • @eedragonr
      @eedragonr 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@emanuellamba5828 it was said that the hotel is only 13 yo. It is impossible to be "Soviet", as it is an western investment. True the communist bloc copied the Soviet union architecture, style and housing and suppressed the professionals who didn't do it. But what has been rebuilt even under Soviet occupation wasn't always Soviet.

      Soviet Union was born in 1920 or 1922.
      Name "soviet" for buildings or anythink else don't exist in Romania because Romania NEVER was part of URSS or Soviet Union. To use word soviet in Romania it is almost one insult.
      Of course foreigner people belive communism, socialist or soviet it is the same thing.

    idk...from outside it looks like a generic hotel from before the 90's even one from around the 30's. Maybe that's why it's called Hotel Italia, because it's architecture is inspired by that but with a comunist flavour.

    You keep miss firing a lot on architecture 🤣. The Train Station from Arad is waaaay older than communism (also Timisoara Station had under-passages but you missed them, you can cross the lines if you don't wanna climb stairs 😜), the Italian Hotel's architecture is also older (but it might be a new building in an old architectural style).
    The fastest way of recognizing a soviet building: it's ugly, it doesn't have any architecture, it's just straight lines with ugly colors.
