2022 Land Rover Range Rover - The WOW Factor Reaches A NEW Level

  • To say the newly redesigned and updated Range Rover is more advanced and luxurious than ever before should come as a surprise to no one. Exterior changes are obvious including the addition of a second shark fin antenna. Why is a second shark fin necessary? Based on the new technology within this model, one was simply not enough. Additionally, the Range Rover rides on all new platform that allows for more body styles, seating configurations, and powertrain options when compared to what we have seen in the past. There are also two available wheelbase lengths to choose from, a 199.0-inch-long standard-wheelbase (SWB) model and the 207.0-inch long-wheelbase (LWB) model. The new LWB allows for the creation of the first-ever three-row, seven-seat Range Rover, and it provides for super-luxe four- and five-seat packages.
    The Standard engine is Jaguar-Land Rover's 3.0-liter electronically supercharged and turbocharged I-6 that produces 395 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. An additional engine option is the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8, producing 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. If the P530's engine specs seem familiar, there is a good reason. This is a BMW V-8, commonly found in models such as the X7. There is so much going on within the interior that we will do an interior-only video to showcase the changes and new technology.

    Great review. Thanks for taking the time to really show what sitting in the 3rd row is like- it seems like those seats are kinda high and people could be comfortable back there for a longer drive (I feel like you get something similar in the gls but not x7). No, that is not true. What I and others I know have found is those who claim Rovers don't last have never actually owned a Rover. I have a personal friend who owns a 2014 Rang Rover Sport with over 100,000 miles on it and he has had no problems with it other than needing to replace the battery.

    Don't buy another Range Rover until Jaguar/Land Rover fix or recall a well-known and common exhaust manifold issue they don't want to take responsible for. This issue affects at least 4 models; LR2, EVOQUE, DISCOVERY, FREELANDER. They're having owners pay $7300 repair cost for a poor/defective system they are aware of. If "they" don't know, the entire QC team at JLR should be fired for hiding this fact. The exhaust manifold is a three-piece system; the flange(bolted to the engine head), exhaust pipes welded to the flange and the turbo. The problem is with the design of the exhaust pipes bent too close to the flange where there is no possible way to complete a full-circle weld around the exhaust pipes. This leaves an open space where vibration can start a crack between the flange and exhaust pipes. At 48K miles, it can start to develop a small crack and when the crack is big enough where the flange and pipes are separated, you can smell strong exhaust fumes/gas in the engine bay. There is a greater risk here where some owners faced dangerous situation when the engine lost power because the turbo finally seized up. I'm afraid to drive my car long distance until the entire exhaust manifold system is replaced. ATM, I can't afford $7300 repair cost so I'm only traveling short distance. JLR love to market shiny, curvy, and technology-advanced vehicles but won't talk much about reliability - they'll leave that up to be discovered by the owners. Would love to see JLR prove me wrong. Better yet, would love to see JLR take ownership of this issue and show they care about the health and safety of their Range Rover owners.

    No thank you. I'll take the new 2022 Escalade since it offers everything Bentley, Mercedes, Rolls Royce and Range Rover have and more. If you think the escalade is better than the ranger over, rolls royce, Bentley, mercedes, then you are crazy. Its not. It cant even beat regular premium cars such as the bmw. You can't compare it to luxury. Ranger rover is in a different league compared to the rest of the lot.

    • @inchlorIentztJiIu
      @inchlorIentztJiIu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mathmanchris666 I recommend trying all of them like I did and then come back to tell me that I was right. I am only talking from a driver’s perspective. My wife owns a 2020 GLS AMG 63, I just sold my 2020 Range Rover because I loved the new 2022 Escalade Sport Platinum. I’m tired of being bored out of my mind with these Range Rovers. Two years ago you could say Mercedes, BMW and Range Rover had better tech and interior, but these days they are all the same quality. The BMW X7 rides good but a bit to hash, the tech is dated and also I don’t like the styling. The rolls-Royce Cullinan rides the best, but look like a funeral car and the tech is basic. The Escalade is not the best in the second row because is more of a driver’s SUV. Super Cruise alone makes the Escalade the best to drive. You can disagree to disagree but it offers the best looking and best feeling seats with massage, heated and cooled, with 8 motors for adjustability and tactile feedback, auto-dimming, power-folding and heated mirrors, ambient lighting, Augmented-Reality, 8 Cameras 7 on the exterior and 1 in the interior, an interior motion sensor, soft close doors the only SUV to use OLED 4k Screens that are well integrated on the dash, not slapped on tablets like in the Range Rover, power-Telescoping, heated and power-tilting Steering wheel, 36 speakers AKG System, night-vision with Ai detection, brake ware sensors, panoramic roof, offers 6 piston Performance Brembo brakes, magnetic ride control which was invented by Cadillac, adaptive air suspension, Again dive deep and do your research and you will see that I’m not so crazy. At this point you are just buying a more expensive name. Another thing here in American there’s nothing like driving an Escalade. If you want to feel like the President/king of the Road/ you have arrived, and you want to Tow your small yacht then Escalade is your best choice right now.
