    I just picked up my M10 TR. The first few minutes, I had to get used to raked fork and short stem. I might have to put a 10 cm stem on it. I have never had a bike with this much travel, that is as stiff and responsive as this. I have it for less than a week, and it might be the best bike I have ever had.

      Would you say the non TR version is better for just cross country?

    • @jto-mtb
      @jto-mtb 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@blastabone yes.. I would use the non TR as a cross country race bike. Until now I've raced on hardtails. But the geometry and stiffness of the oiz is better than anything I have ridden.

      @@jto-mtb so the travel of the TR is more than you would like for XC riding or you quite like it?

    • @jto-mtb
      @jto-mtb 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@robinmacandrew103 my bike is 120 /120 @ around 11 kg. If I was competing, I would prefer 100 / 110 with a lighter fork and wheels. The oiz race bike is lighter and handles quicker. The TR is a bit heavier but very stable. Does that help?

    • @robinmacandrew103
      @robinmacandrew103 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jto-mtb Yup thanks so much. I race XC occasionally but not competitively. And I like to get out on the trails whenever I can. I’m leaning towards the TR. Fun on the trails and capable for the racing.

    Both nice, i am looking at a 2020 OIZ Team 99.9% new, full XTR with XRC 1200 wheels and a custom paint scheme, its like a medium blue with accents. His Park tool scale shows 21.1 without pedals, Fox 32 step cast, etc.

    I have a Cannondale Scalpel and looking to change to the Oiz TR, sweet bike 👌 and a nice summary, but I have to ask... imperial vs metric.
    Why mix so much? When you talk bike weight it's lbs and frame weight it's grams, stroke length is mm.
    Wouldn't it be easier to just use metric...

    Hello, the bottom bracket axis of the TR model is higher to avoid hitting obstacles, but that does raise the center of gravity, is not it better to be lower to gain safety in the descents?

    i have to remarks here: First, the review is from february 2019 - did the bikes then have no „squid lock“ yet - like the 2021 Oiz´es have? - Secondly, the „celeste“ green on the TR Model looks like the bike was a Bianchi instead of an Obren… since the color looks exactly like the typical „Bianchi celeste“ - at least on my screen…😜

    Nice bike! Would you recomend version 120 / 120 bike for someone recreational, who drive 80% gravel and quite easy single tracks and other 20% maybe some more hard trails decends. Would be TR option maybe to much? Or would be better option 100/100 bike w drop seat maybe?

    • @jto-mtb
      @jto-mtb 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It hasn't for lockout. I like the bike more and more every time. So I guess, I could I recommend it.

    I have justin buy the TR model, in one month will have it at home. I would like to ask something, Why is more fun the TR model? I know that it has a 120mm suspension front and rear but, can you explain me which is the different sensations when you drive each one, the XC model versus TR model? The fun sensation is ‘cause the security you have on the 120mm?

    • @mattlong8453
      @mattlong8453 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello! I don’t know that I should have said that the TR was “more fun”😉 Both of these bikes are light and nimble and sure to provide a great time. Even though I am an old XC guy at heart, I prefer the 120mm bike-it raises the headtube and gets you to a 68-degree head angle. I’ve been riding it on a local loop that drops down 1200 feet of ruts and shelves in a little over two miles-I think what I meant is that this configuration gives me more confidence to go into all-mountain-bike category. The Oiz TR isn’t afraid to shred🙂

      Matt Long thanks so much for your answer, today I receive the TR bike at home, it’s a special day! I hope to enjoy it and I think that I don’t mistake my decision ‘cause it’s 1Kg heavier the TR model versus de XC model. And the XC model has a better efficiency of the geometry to be faster. Thanks a lot!

      Paco Gonzalez estoy muy contento con mi TR, pero no he tenido la ocasión de comparar subir con una de 100 y una de 120, la verdad que no sé realmente cuanto me está penalizando, al final no la quiero para ganar carreras y la fuerza está en ti. Te animo a la TR si estás en estas condiciones y quieres divertirte bajando
