I bought this around 2 weeks ago. It works! Costs around 10.00 and comes with 3 wipes and a sealer. I used it on a 2003 Avalon that the headlights looked as if they had never been touched...they look close to new now!
So I just watched this video this morning and then a few hours happened to stop at a local Pep Boys when I was out runnin' errands and picked up a box of these Armor All Restoration Wipes. I have a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 that has a one yellow, oxidized headlight and one semi-brand new, crystal clear headlight that I installed about a year ago when the original one cracked. Anyway, I saw your results and figured what the heck, I'll give it a shot. HOLY SCHNIKES!!! THIS STUFF WORKS! I wish I could post before and after pics along with before and after comparing it to the new headlight. Its not 100% perfect, but Its pretty damn close. Close enough that if I told someone I swapped out the old yellowed headlight with a new one they would probably believe me. I've tried all those headlight restoration kits with the wet sanding and polish and none of them even came close to how clear these Armor All wipes made my headlight. Seriously, I'm not trying to be dramatic or hyperbolic here, I'm just freakin' amazed how well these worked for being essentially a wet wipe. Good job Armor All!
Some people in some others videos criticized that product. But this experiment is pretty impressive 👏. I'll go and buy it. Thanks for the show and sharing!!
it worked ! it worked! it worked! my headlights look like new ... I didn't need a sander or nothing like that. I had bought a groupon for it and when I called to make my appt the guy hemmed and hawed and then said Look just turn in the $29 Groupon for something else and buy the wipes online like at Amazon. I started looking at reviews and saw the ones with sanders and I thought that can't be what he's talking about, he said it several times that it was just wipes.... finally found this video - went to Auto Zone and picked them up - and Hocus Pocus ! It WORKED! Seriously, thanks for this video!
Wow they really did a good job, I think these are perfect for those who have headlights with minimal oxidation, nothing to deep or extreme, just perfect. Thanks for the review, i will be picking these up. Great Job!
I'm watching a review of this after already using it but I gotta say mine were even more oxidized than your heads and I am absolutely amazed with how well it works. I definitely agree on the need for a pad of some sort to hold it in place because mine got caught on air a few times as well lol and I'm not sure how long the effect will last long term. If I take good care of it maybe a year I imagine, but considering the cost for that little box (20 bucks) and not requiring any sanding is pretty solid all together. Great video and dope Prelude!!
I've been using Armor All Products since the late 1970's, and every product of theirs that I have used have performed ridiculously well. Funny how the only people that say anything bad about an Armor All product are dummies who have a similar product to sell. These wipes are fantastic.
I used it today on my side mirrors turn single and it was oxidized for years and literally one swipe with that cleaned it and made it look brand new. Same with my taillights
Pretty impressive, Definitely a good product. Not everybody has the equipment to properly rub down & polish so for that good of a result they've gotta be worth a try 👍🏻
Directions- UV Wipe. Apply to the headlight surface by wiping in One direction, similar to using a paint brush. Just need to apply a layer of protective coating. No need to scrub.
Just used on my (new for me) 04 Honda Pilot. Pretty impressive! One headlight looks super clear and brand new. The other looks a whole hell of a lot better than it did, but not as pretty as the other. But they should've put in the caution not to use on any other lights. My backup lights look like the were shot with a BB and cracked out from the center. My taillights have small long cracks going vertically. I realize now that they are different types of plastic and I shouldn't have used it on them, but still :-(
Thanks for the video. I bought it a few months ago but never got the chance to use it because I was able to restore mine with Mother's mag and aluminum polish and a foam as a drill attachment. Upon seeing your video, looks like I will be using it after the buffing procedure I outlined above. I'll be using alcohol to clean the polish residue so the armor all restore kit can work more efficiently. Plus will be using the UV protection instead of car wax. Cute kid by the way. 5/5 stars for the demo.
I would be interested to see as well. But honestly it probably wont hold up long once headlights start oxidizing the only way to really fix it is to sand and clear coat it.
Yea it is I think. As I found out recently it will make it much worse if the origional surface has gone completely as it reacts badly with the exposed plastic. But you can just use a polish then the UV wipe to get it clear again. The UV protector is quite thick and creates a new surface.
They worked really well for my 1998 honda accord. I read the directions on the back of the box and did everything they said word for word. Ive got before and after pictures but cannot load them here.
I just got my first car and the headlights were in really bad shape. Since money is tight, I bought these as they were the cheapest option available. After using the kit and letting it dry, I can say that they're not yellowed anymore, but they're covered in horrible streaks. I definitely screwed something up along the way from what this video tells me. I don't know if I should buy another Armor All kit and redo the whole process, or buy something else.
Tried this today, shit myself when the lights misted up after the initial clean.turned out like new after the UV protectant went on though, how long it will last for is anyone's guess but happy for now.
My headlight covers were very fogy. I used this product. One side cleaned well and the second one No!! I think I must go with sandpaper first then use this product - it'll be more effective.
Tried this product. After drying, the headlight we're cloudy. Save your money unless your headlights really need them. I would only recommend these for heavy HEAVY oxidation, because anything is an improvement from that.
Looks like it worked well. I like others would like to see long-term results. Have a feeling won't be looking good in about six months or so. Thanks for sharing.
”So again, just one direction” And at the same time every direction! 🤣 I guess you noticed that yourself :) Just funny, i’m the same.. making these random errors, but you just got to own it and see it as humour! Great vid by the way, i will try them out
Worth a try, wrap the wipe around a foam applicator pad possibly???? Could cure the wipe trying to pull out of your hand. A simple idea, but I would imagine it would work.
Gonna try it out on my Z ! Update: it didn’t work and now my headlights are blotchy and cloudy ): i made sure to wipe evenly and in the same direction. The clarity lasted an hour and now it looks cloudy.
Not aware if you know this but there is a chemical in most bug sprays called DEET which is commonly used to clean headlights. The chemical eats away at the plastic and you can clean them in about 30 seconds with a paper towel and the bug spray alone. As far as I'm aware it is really the only method that lets you clean your headlights effectively without abrasive pads or sand paper. This reminds me of that so I wonder if that is all the cleaning wipes are.
that is actually my future plan for the next few weeks on the GTR. I need to order it first though and have an entire day to do it as it takes a polish and compounding first.
Do not get this product, I tried using on kia forte and the were mostly clear except on the top of the lights and it ruined my lights and made them very foggy and they need to be replaced now.
I find these headlight restoration videos are a bit flawed the true test is after a month of normal use in all weathers.Basically all some of these restorations do is fill the micro scratches and make it look amazing at the time you have done it.
Just a guess but its prolly just acetone on a wipe. I have tried acetone on a spare headlight before and i got the same results. But your right the plastic will melt a little. You can scratch it easy with a finger nail with light pressure. But the next day it was back to normal after it all evaporated/dried up.
used this today on my 2009 corvette and ruined them totally destroyed them looked pretty good b4 i used them just had them and was like i guess it will make it even better right WRONG now it looks like you took clear nail polish then started to use nail polish remover but then stopped I followed all the directions which isnt much just rub turn rub more apply a coat of part 2 that is where it really fucks up your headlight right now its its cloudy has hardened flake like texture all over i should have known better well hope they end up paying for replacement lenses going to look like new after that i called the company and they are sending me out a claims kit where i need to get 2 estimates and take pictures and submit it this should be taken off the market
they wanted me to jump through hoops to have it replaced with autobody invoices but i fixed it myself I sanded off all the clear then used ceramic coating and it came out perfect I since sold the corvette I bought a 2018 Mustang GT PP1 Manual Trans Black with only 16k miles no ticking its perfect it better be for 30k used lol bought it in January 2020
It sounds like you were so intent on it not working because of the bad experience with the other wipes you didn't give these a fair shot watch your video

How long did it last. ?....a day... ? a week. ?
Some people in some others videos criticized that product. But this experiment is pretty impressive 👏. I'll go and buy it.
Thanks for the show and sharing!!
Directions- do not unfold. *unfolds wipes*
He folded it back.
He didnt apply the sealant properly either..
Looks like a good option to use for early signs of oxidation to prevent full blown oxidation.
yah once it gets bad you need to take it to something like Meguiar's heavy duty which comes with the different sand paper grits to remove it.
it worked ! it worked! it worked! my headlights look like new ... I didn't need a sander or nothing like that. The headlight I cleaned with these is actually brighter than the brand new headlight I replaced on the other side of my car! Awesome product!
25 seconds into the video your son walks past your car and does a mini jump.
Absolutely priceless !
Thanks for posting.
Wow they really did a good job, I think these are perfect for those who have headlights with minimal oxidation, nothing to deep or extreme, just perfect. Thanks for the review, i will be picking these up. Great Job!

Directions:. "Wipe in one direction like paint.." What was all the back and forth?
I used it today on my side mirrors turn single and it was oxidized for years and literally one swipe with that cleaned it and made it look brand new. Same with my taillights
Soooo after all this time how it looks today ? Any difference ? Still ok ?
A later update would be good. Nice to see little Billy mays
Machine polisher+ mothers mag and aluminum polish is the best headlight resotation. Sounds crazy but it works wonders
Just used on my (new for me) 04 Honda Pilot. Pretty impressive! One headlight looks super clear and brand new. The other looks a whole hell of a lot better than it did, but not as pretty as the other.

So what was it like after a month or 2?😁
These joints had my hand feeling crazy after
Great job. It looks good. Thanks for that last note about the sealant. I will buy some tomorrow at auto zone
Put on gloves man just used it bare hands and they are peeling and all dry
Thanks for the video. I bought it a few months ago but never got the chance to use it because I was able to restore mine with Mother's mag and aluminum polish and a foam as a drill attachment. One side of mine turned out great. The other still is cloudy. Gonna try and use a polisher to clean that one up tomorrow
Can you do a one month update on this product? Just curious if it will last or come right back.
I'll do my best to remember, if not, just remind me!
Acc0rd79 Will do!
I would be interested to see as well. But honestly it probably wont hold up long once headlights start oxidizing the only way to really fix it is to sand and clear coat it.
Detailing and stuff ! What kind of sand grit ???
Steevnb * you should go check out chrisfix's video on headlight restoration he walks you through the whole process.
Your kid if the best part of the video. Great Video
:) He's pretty awesome!
Looks like it’s a heavy duty solvent (instead of an abrasive polish) and dissolves plastic some allowing the oxidation to come off.
yah it definitely has some sort of high chemical smell to it.
Its does a really good job. on newer one its the perfect product you can apply each 2-3 years to keep em like new
Yea it is I think. As I found out recently it will make it much worse if the origional surface has gone completely as it reacts badly with the exposed plastic. But you can just use a polish then the UV wipe to get it clear again. The UV protector is quite thick and creates a new surface.
I’m shock that it actually work. I always thought that there is no way that a wipe can restore headlight but boy I was wrong.
I tried it and they are Trashhhhh
Depends on how bad are the headlights. Accord 2012 nope
They worked really well for my 1998 honda accord. I read the directions on the back of the box and did everything they said word for word. Ive got before and after pictures but cannot load them here.

Amazing! Tried it on and almost instantly you'll see the efrects
How long did it last. ?
Tried this today, shit myself when the lights misted up after the initial clean.turned out like new after the UV protectant went on though, how long it will last for is anyone's guess but happy for now.
Still look good?
Yes still ok.
Big respect from the UK!!!!!
Respect back at ya from Florida:)
My headlight covers were very fogy. I used this product. One side cleaned well and the second one No!! I think I must go with sandpaper first then use this product - it'll be more effective.

Only one of mine ended up being clear. Gonna have to polish them with a polisher now
it did my headlights justice!!
I would use that after using cutting compound on the headlights, just make sure they're perfectly clean and ready to receive the sealant.
For just wipes it is impressive in comparison to the sanding & polishing method, hopefully it lasts
I plan to do an update here in a month.
His wife's like honey get your ass in here the kids in the middle of the street😂"great wipes dude
Looks like it worked well. I like others would like to see long-term results. Have a feeling won't be looking good in about six months or so. Thanks for sharing.
To be fair most headlight resto kits start to fade again after 6 months to a year.
”So again, just one direction” And at the same time every direction! 🤣
I guess you noticed that yourself :)
Just funny, i’m the same.. making these random errors, but you just got to own it and see it as humour!
Great vid by the way, i will try them out
Those headlights look good 👍
Next time fold the wipe on an applicator pad for better grip?
Worth a try, wrap the wipe around a foam applicator pad possibly????
Could cure the wipe trying to pull out of your hand.
A simple idea, but I would imagine it would work.
Wow for the price that’s great 🙌🏻
not too bad. Thanks again for the donation!!!!
Just tried this on my SI. Really freaking impressed with the clarity. I’m hoping it actually lasts though.
Juicetin it doesn’t, next day my headlights were back to cloudy and bad
Applied it 2 days ago. Still looks great. Hows it look after 2 years?
Looks like the same car you used the Meguiars Perfect Clarity Headlight Restoration kit back on June 5th, 2016.
it is.
Thanks for explaining the rattling headlight great video✌🏾👍🏽
yah it's a big prelude problem, dumb clips break on them nonstop. Weak point.
These did a pretty good job!
for real, not perfect but good for what they were.
I just tried this on our 07 Camry, fingers crossed🤞
Did it work?
@@nettiefairman1278 Yeah, they look a lot better now
@@chasemiles2166 still looking good?
@@djpeeno Yeah👍
Do you have a rupes or any dual action polisher? Compound and polish work great on it
of course I have a DA polisher:) Griot's.
54. I thought he said.
Avoid penis!!. 😁😅😅
Omg. I'm speechless. I guess those wipes were worth it :p
yup, they aren't perfect but it did a good job!
GREAT REVIEW AS ALWAYS THANKS
:) Thanks!
How are the headlights holding up?
Pretty good but the car's just outside of Tampa for the last 3 weeks getting the full automatic to 5 speed swap:)
Whys the box so big for 3 wipes?
it's actually small but I dunno.
Very good review.
Thanks for the info.
One box per lens?
Where to get these wipes from? Can u share the link!
walmart.
Gonna try it out on my Z !
Update: it didn’t work and now my headlights are blotchy and cloudy ): i made sure to wipe evenly and in the same direction. The clarity lasted an hour and now it looks cloudy.
what is the next product review?
Will this remove water damage?
I honestly won't venture a guess and lie to you, it's worth a try though!
Wow looks amazing that’s stuff must have some strong chemicals nice video thank you
Glad you enjoyed!
I saw they have wheel wipes too in Walmart. Try those out
lol maybe on the wife's car but damn can you imagine how long it would take doing one wheel at a time with a wipe lol.
Acc0rd79 Ik. I think armor is going a little overboard with the whole wipe thing
I wonder if it's just DEET that is eating the plastic?
Not aware if you know this but there is a chemical in most bug sprays called DEET which is commonly used to clean headlights. Why dont you use gloves man.. This is acid!
Can you do a ceramic coating video?
that is actually my future plan for the next few weeks on the GTR. I need to order it first though and have an entire day to do it as it takes a polish and compounding first.
Do not get this product, I tried using on kia forte and the were mostly clear except on the top of the lights and it ruined my lights and made them very foggy and they need to be replaced now.
Just use OFF mosquito spray. Works like a champ!
I applied Jet Seal Today! Now this is the worst part waiting for it to cure.
just a 24 hour wait, just park it in the garage and leave it covered till tomorrow:)
Acc0rd79 I wish I had a garage lol
its better
Has this man been drinking?
Dude look like bro from rob and big
I find these headlight restoration videos are a bit flawed the true test is after a month of normal use in all weathers.Basically all some of these restorations do is fill the micro scratches and make it look amazing at the time you have done it.
I'm shocked I really am shocked would I use that on my car no but I'm shocked it did a good job
yah it's not perfect but it took tons of it off.
Rob derdek I think is his name
These suck the big bone. Made my CRV worse than they were before I started.
hahaha couldnt watch you because of lovely toddler ::))))) haahahahaa
Just used this, followed all directions and literally ruined my headlights. I do not recommend this at all people.
How
It ruined mine too
Horizontal not vertical brodie
You look like Rob Dyrdek anybody ever tell you that ?
all the time
B careful with these, they melted my headlights. T_cut works better.
Just a guess but its prolly just acetone on a wipe. I have tried acetone on a spare headlight before and i got the same results. But your right the plastic will melt a little. You can scratch it easy with a finger nail with light pressure. But the next day it was back to normal after it all evaporated/dried up.
Not much point in testing a product, if you’re not going to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
First
second
U need better elbow juice !! 😁
used this today on my 2009 corvette and ruined them totally destroyed them looked pretty good b4 i used them just had them and was like i guess it will make it even better right WRONG now it looks like you took clear nail polish then started to use nail polish remover but then stopped I followed all the directions which isnt much just rub turn rub more apply a coat of part 2 that is where it really fucks up your headlight right now its its cloudy has hardened flake like texture all over i should have known better well hope they end up paying for replacement lenses going to look like new after that i called the company and they are sending me out a claims kit where i need to get 2 estimates and take pictures and submit it this should be taken off the market
You actually used this on a Corvette? Wow
they wanted me to jump through hoops to have it replaced with autobody invoices but i fixed it myself I sanded off all the clear then used ceramic coating and it came out perfect I since sold the corvette I bought a 2018 Mustang GT PP1 Manual Trans Black with only 16k miles no ticking its perfect it better be for 30k used lol bought it in January 2020
(Disliked for foul language).
Horrible wipes, ruined my mercedes headlights. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
It sounds like you were so intent on it not working because of the bad experience with the other wipes you didn't give these a fair shot watch your video
He's just giving them crap because products like that should not even be on the market. He did say he was impressed with the results, which is a lot
This ruined my headlights. I wish I could undo it.
What happened?
Lies!! These things do not work at all!!
I don't think I like Armor all at all I've used it in the past but I'll never use it again and I hope every conservative stop buying armor all👋🏻😂
