Kawasaki didnt want to expend the $ on MotoGP so they left and focused on WSB and owned that sport. The reasoning is the bikes they sell on the street are closer to the WSB than the MotoGP and the racing costs less.

Yes. Whether participating in motogp or wsbk, the result remains the same.
Motogp requires a lot of capital, and it is not guaranteed to win races. If after the race, the result is bad, it will affect their brand. If they win it, people will trust their brand more.
But in wsbk, the capital is not as big as motogp, and there is no doubt that kawasaki will give fierce competition in every race in wsbk. If the results are bad, it doesn't matter because the capital that is released is small. But people will still trust the kawasaki brand because wsbk is closer to the street superbike they produce.
So why is it necessary to spend a lot of capital to enter motogp, when the result remains the same if they only participate in wsbk.

@@0Zolrender0 Yup. Without capital and big sponsors, a team will definitely not be able to survive in MotoGP. Also because of that, RNF team announced to leave MotoGP.
However Suzuki took a smarter step, by supplying factory motors to BARX and HEP Motorsports. The result is still the same as competing in MotoGP, if both teams succeed in giving competition to the other team.
Just from my point of view, MotoGP in the 2024 season may not be as lively as the previous seasons, because Ducati dominates in MotoGP. And also because of the case involving Moto3 rider Ayumu Sasaki, causing me to be less and less interested in continuing to support MotoGP.
Wsbk is more competitive if viewed from the point of view of competition between brands.

Yeah agreed but I guess it’s because bikes are just a side project that Kawasaki spends some of its extra money on so they probably don’t want to commit the long term funds to moto gp

It wouldn't be reliable for street use and way too expensive.
@@dr.jillalicecooper2587 I don't mean use THAT engine, I mean develop from it. The current ZX10RR engine has given it's 100%. No amount of chassis mods will help at this point.

Imagine that a brand new zx10r is probably just as quick as this thing
Um no! That bike had the Hp of a H2R and much better excelleration 260 hp and 350 lbs. The ZX10 would get shit on!
