Hi Stacey, yes it can definitely be overdone, one thing I'd recommend is make sure you're not doing it to try to manipulate him or to try to GET something from him as most men can sense this and can be a turn off. Also if he doesn't seem to like it and it is authentic and not trying to get something, try giving only small compliments or perhaps instead just give him a hug as another love language could be more effective way to reward him and show you appreciate him when he does things you like as well
Yes. I do it sincerely. I don’t play. He simply cannot take compliments. He told me he doesn’t take them well. I am a giver. My love language is words of affirmation. He doesn’t give compliments either. It isn’t working out for us. It is what it is. Thx
