Excellent! "Marriage isn't supposed to make us happy, it's supposed to make us holy." Your marriage is your ministry...as one waiting for God to bring my spouse, really needed to hear this and so appreciate this wisdom, insight, and understanding. Very comforting and encouraging.

Loved it. What a blessing it is to recieve biblical revelation on marriage and purpose. After a failed relationship and brokenness. My new life began with a close itimate relationship with christ. He is developing me as a man of god, father of a young boy, and healing me from my childhood dysfunction that characterize a person with insecurities, fear-based, learned behaviors, inferior complex, egotistical thinking, and most importantly delivering me from lust.

We need more messages like this one in the body of Christ, teaching people about and preparing them for marriage. Christians also need to be taught how to develop a relationship with God as single christians.

This pretty much confirms the truth that we all want to deny. That God is making us who WE are before he can make us to be joined into ONE with another ONE. I know what it is to think I'm doing all the Godly things in a relationship that was fast tracked for marriage but my calling was on another path from that person. Hallelujah I got out before disaster.

I agree with you! It is possible to be lifelong celibate and happy. Intimacy is not necessarily without some kind of drama, especially if you're a female. If you're not married, you're not missing anything out on not having intimacy. One of the Devil's greatest lies: You can't be happy without doing it. If you're married, but your partner got a medical condition or just badly sick for a bit and cannot perform, well, you realize what your partner is going through is far more important and you can be happy abstinent.

I was a virgin until the age of 37. Even though I was a believer in jeezus until 35, it took 2 full years to overcome the mindfuck your religion put on me. Speak for yourself. I am now a father and this would not have been possible remaining in your cult. Christianity is mind control and what you have described is in chapter 3 of my new book, demand for purity. Demand for purity is one of the eight psychological themes of ideological totalism which defines the social field of thought reform more commonly known as BRAINWASHING.

Christina, I never received your response so this reply is a year late.
"God makes no mistakes.. for every major thing like choosing a spouse you are supposed to seek God's face. He makes no mistakes no matter how long the wait"
I did not seek god's face. I cursed god publicly and challenged him to defend himself. I provided what god could not.

Try being saved 21 years, being 41 years old and never married, and now finding out that you will now never being able to be a mother. But you have been standing around believing and trusting God the whole time...There is no ministry for that kind of broken-heartedness.

T Thompson Sis can do all things in this he is the one who made your body and nobody knows it better than him he does all things in his time...

    • @tiathompson6674
      @tiathompson6674 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I have made all those kinds of confessions Sis...In my 21 year walk, I have not had the kind of testimony where God showed up and fixed or changed anything in my environment. I have just been stuck with what things are...that includes living with a chronic illness since I was 20 years old. I am not going to be pregnant, I am not going to be a mother. I have stood and hoped and believed until my cycle has disappeared all the while I get up and deal with the chronic physical pain of multiple sclerosis. This is just what it is. If I told you that I have not lost all hope, I would be a liar. I cannot describe to you how disheartened I feel. All that I can really ask God for now is to show me some mercy and hurriedly bring me to my end, because I just can't take it anymore.

    • @connienamatovu2

+T Thompson God loves you . You don't know what happens at the other end . A day at a time. As hard as it seems, find something good and be thankful for that. Leave other people alone just look at yourself. I don't know how but there is no mountain so big for God to climb. But it all starts with your heart. Accept that He has a plan even-though you don't understand it.

    • @nkslolo4100
      @nkslolo4100 9 ปีที่แล้ว

+T Thompson I understand how you feel. I was diagnosed with a life threatening disease when I was quite young and I had to leave with it for 17 years and watch it slowly wreak havoc to my body before I got a breakthrough, and even the breakthrough still came with massive burdens. Dear Sis, I'm telling you this so that you hold on, the journey of life is a long and hard one. God doesn't always provide answers we understand but He is always there and He'll provide the strength you need. Also, the answers are often not the cushy, all-problems-removed kind of answers but the kind that will test you in ways you will not believe. But He will give you the grace and strength to bear them, believe me. These days I feel like a warrior being trained for a war 'cos of all I have had to face in this life and it feels amazing. Nothing, absolutely nothing bothers me and it's the most empowering feeling in the world. Read the scriptures like your life depends on it, all the answers are there. Stay blessed sis, I'll have you in my prayers. One last thing, you have to take initiative, God will only begin to move when you take that first step. Pray for guidance day and night, it could take months or even years (like my case) but when your spirit eventually tells you what to do, do it because trust me, she has insight straight from the Godhead. I'm using my story as a guide for you because until I did this, there was no change until I asked for direction and made that move.

    My recap:
    Genesis 2:18-25
    God said, called and approved
Your relationship should be God focused. How much God is in your relationship?
Connect and vibe but don't forget the plan.
God had a plan that needed a purpose, which is greater than preference.
Be Clear on the master, mission and mate.
Date to understand the leader, your dreams and each other.
Discuss expectations or it will be unfulfilled. It will help your partner Meet or exceed/please you.
Everyone wants the undivided attention that they receive in the beginning.
    Expect nothing in your marriage.
Become a contributor not a consumer.
    Make requests not demands.
God's gift to you could be revealed theough marriage, which will make you self aware.
It will make you grow spiritually. We grow through disappointment. Die to self so marriage can live (the two become one).
Adam was made from the ground, making him earthly.
Woman start from man, relationship minded
An authority must evaluate a woman's mate to cover them and ensure the person is aligned with God.
Adam has a job and purpose in God. Leave, cleave and x
They were completely open with one another, naked.
    Truth, seen ,accepted, loved
Reveal the truth, intimacy - into me I see
Pray and take the risk of Total transparency
Show the truth and tell the truth.
If they reject you then you can move on.
    Pray and obey.
    God controls the outcome.

In my 20s I was emotionally immature and unable to connect with women in any capacity. This did not change for many years. In my mid thirties I had a disastrous relationship which nearly destroyed me emotionally. I never went bsck, but took my emotional problems as a sign of my reality. Dating wasn't for me! It was not the gift Paul speaks of in 1 Corinthians 7. It was the brokenness of sin that destroyed my chance to be in a relationship. But I've accepted this fact and moved on.

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for posting this message. Your pastor has a true gift from God, the ability to wrap Truth in humor. This message is truly great and will benefit all who take the chance and do what your pastor says to do.
Blessings upon you and your pastor and church family.

I am glad I didn't get married in my 20s, 30s. I think 40s is good. you have to be ready mentally, emotionally and physically. of course financially

I hope that I will be with my future boyfriend-husband. I want to be happy. I feel like marriage is an holy and powerful sacrament. I promise that I will honor the lord and his father God. I hope that my prayers are awnsered and that I was healed from all of my illnesses. Amen.

Lov... this brotha on what he has said, me being a single man, but, and a big but, most black folks come from single head of the house homes, where in general, the person was not there for them, and most importantly, did not know what was going on in life, esp. lack of education , how is woman to be giving up to marriage ,If there is no one really there to give them up, let alone , to check out who she is hooking up with.. I just say.. can anybody come back on this ????

I think what he is saying is find someone, whether it is your spiritual leader, or some respected Father figure who loves you enough to care to take a look at a gentleman who claims to show interest in you. If you don't have a dad around, then try your Pastor. Just have someone that you can present the person to, to check their character. Hey...I grew up with my Dad in the house, BUT he was a crappy example of a Husband/companion. He was there, but it was like he wasn't there at the same time... I thank God that he was around, we were covered financially....but emotionally, as an example of what a man should be to his wife....He failed horribly.

Genesis 2:18 doesn't tell us that it's not good for Adam be single, ANYMORE. It tells us that man is NOT to be single, at all.

GOD has shown me that he made compadables for a individual not some specific person. That's one of the many things I realized from him endorseing polygamy in the Old Testament, but there's also a scripture that I once read on the topic. I forget where it's at since I'm a ronin scripture junkie when it comes to reading the Bible 😎
