I agree, I have dated two Christian men (at different times) and with both we prayed together, went to church together, and all that good Godly stuff, but when I prayed about it I felt like God said no that I wasn't supposed to marry either one. One is not following God at all anymore and I haven't seen the other in church in years so I don't know what happened to him, but I am pretty certain God told me no on both even though they were both Christian.
I love this message because he talked about souls. God blessed me with my own Thrift Store and people come in all the time and get saved. I am a single 31 year old mother of one and love God and our apostle teaches us about winning souls.

Sorry but I have to disagree with this. This violates many parts of scripture. When Isaac was ready to get married, God directed Abraham's servant to Rebecca. God blessed their union because she was of his kindred. What if Isaac had different ideas and chosen someone else? Would God have blessed his union the same way? Proverbs tells us to seek the Path of Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding and that Wisdom will guide our steps. God wants to be involved in "every" area of your life and has "specific people, paths, places and things" for every areas of your life "if" you will allow him to lead you. To say that we can just go and pick anything and anyone we want and expect God to bless it is unscriptural.

So did God tell you to get married? To know, bring the person before God as the Bible says cast your cares upon him because he cares for you. So bring the person before God and he will give you a yes or a no (it could be confirmation through other people, Bible verse, prompting of the spirit, etc.) The reasons why people get married (i.e. for looks, money, etc.) is definitely important to explore, and another reason why it's important to seek God's guidance on this issue. Interesting video. I'll be 36 this year, no kids, never married. Several reasons. Haven't found the right woman and been working on several things, plus learning to trust God more. Do I have the desire? Definitely.
I'm in a similar predicament myself. I know it can be difficult, but If you don't feel the anointing to approach these women, then don't do it. Believe me it's never worth going ahead without God. I learned the hard way...
I wish I knew and understood what I do now. But you sure don't wanna do it for the wrong reasons then God gotta come along in put you back together. You live and learn. What God is doing in my life is far more meaningful then being with the wrong person. Then you take this long detour, and possibly miss Him trying to drag the person into where you are. I just read through some of the comments posted here and I must say people are funny! Either it's for you or it's not. With wisdom & growth in God you are able to discern His word. I have been saved for 23 years and married for 13. Like he said we have free will to choose our spouses, he who finds a wife finds a good thing. My husband asked God to make me his wife when we were 8 years old. When you abide in God and He in you He will direct your path, whether to a job, a spouse, a career, etc. At the end of the day it is still our choice to be obedient to God or to do our own thing.

God only knows his real intentions , I don't want to be accused of jugding hastily and wrongly , but flattering the weaker sex has become such a common practice , even in some churches , sadly. Isabelle M It's a by product of how the world sees women..ok maybe the western world but not excluding the rest of the world....if you're attractive to the opposite sex, the standards are even higher and they are placed on padestals. Sadly this creeps into the "teachings" of the bible. Coming from a young person who knows what most young people, espceially boys think and do, women.....attractive women are worshipped with more purpose than what you would see are a church. The worship to women is more real than the worship to God. Sadly I've seen a fair share of girls who do the same.

Doesn't the bible say he that finders a wife findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtained his favor with the Lord? That tells me that we get the ability to find our spouses preferably it's the man that's doing the finding. God does not pick spouses this is not sound doctrine and more about control. The only spouse that God chose was Adam's wife. Even Eliazer when searching for a wife for Isaac, he in fact told God what he wanted her to say to him. If God is choosing spouses why is the divorce rate just as high in the church? Everyone can't be getting it wrong. I also believe that there are stress factors in marriage which will reveal the true nature of one’s character and performance in the new covenant with the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Marriage is a covenant with in the new covenant, a very serious thing before our Father in Heaven. The covenant of marriage is to mirror the new covenant in which our LORD gave all of Himself in both life and death but namely His blood which sealed the new covenant. As in traditional marriage when one virgin was betrothed to another virgin and on the consummation of the marriage, the was the breaking of the hymen and shedding of blood. He tells us in the Living Word that the marriage bed is holy which denotes three. Obviously in the marriage bed there is the husband and wife but Who is holy. Not even in the marriage bed but especially in the marriage bed He is God and head. And yes there is and has always been a such thing as a perfect marriage, the Father Son and Holy Spirit. I feel that only a warrior in Christ should marry another warrior in Christ and yes there are exceptions. Overall, how serious a person is in their life long commitment with Christ will be revealed in marriage. In a serious relationship with the LORD you suffer persevere grown and are rewarded ALL and only to His glory alone. Once we marry, it’s a rebirth taking old lessons from our marriage to Yeshua, as a foundation, building a house on the Rock in our new life with our God head and our spouse. Marriage is very dear and close to Father’s heart so He should be taken very seriously.

Pastor Murray is a great teacher! My grandmother and cousin goes to his church and I've visited a few times. I plan to visit more often.

Just don't get rush, it takes time to test if something is worth it, totally dependent on what's God instructions saves us from further distraction. He know what's best and no one can hinder his plan for his children wether it will ended up in a divorce or in his reconciliation.

Well , it all looks as if he wanted to flatter women . God only knows his real intentions , I don't want to be accused of jugding hastily and wrongly , but flattering the weaker sex has become such a common practice , even in some churches , sadly.
And it is true that a woman can turn a house into a home as he says but the Bible does not hide that she can also tear it down with her own hands if she is foolish. And if we consider all the divorces filed by females today [ such a disgrace in the body of Christ , even though the Lord NEVER gave any woman the right to divorce any man -it is a product of our feminized societies ] we can conclude that the Bible is always right .
I don't want to be flattered. I received the love of truth when I became a Christian and I want the truth about my gender , not some watered down sermon that tickles my ears. The Bible is tough and that is the way it awakes us. The Bible is tough with sin and it is also tough with sinful women.
I'm sick of our Western world that portrays women as people who are always victims and never guilty of anything. This is everything but the truth.

It's refreshing to hear another fellow Christian believer's desire for truth and welcome the convictions/corrections Jesus presents to those that follow Him. The Bible absolutely deals in reality - the reality of our sin as well as the reality of our reward for obeying The Word. The flattery we see going on is doing more harm to The Body than good.

Isabelle M It's a by product of how the world sees women..ok maybe the western world but not excluding the rest of the world....if you're attractive to the opposite sex, the standards are even higher and they are placed on padestals. Sadly this creeps into the "teachings" of the bible.
Coming from a young person who knows what most young people, espceially boys think and do, women.....attractive women are worshipped with more purpose than what you would see are a church. The worship to women is more real than the worship to God.
Sadly I've seen a fair share of girls who do the same.

Doesn't the bible say he that finders a wife findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtained his favor with the Lord? That tells me that we get the ability to find our spouses preferably it's the man that's doing the finding. God does not pick spouses this is not sound doctrine and more about control. The only spouse that God chose was Adam's wife. Even Eliazer when searching for a wife for Isaac, he in fact told God what he wanted her to say to him. If God is choosing spouses why is the divorce rate just as high in the church? Everyone can't be getting it wrong. We just live in the day where people are no longer committed but this God choosing spouse stuff is wrong.
Kikikiki let me tell you God can choose for you by giving you directions. The reason y u don't believe it because you never asked God to choose for so u think he can't choose for you. Ask other people who are married they will tell u .when God choose a partner for you it doesn't mean your marriage won't be attacked, no its not true .no marriage is exempted from afflictions.
I would advise you to have a spiritual father or mother so that you can learn more about the bibble. Every marriage will be attacked by the devil whether its God who joined you together or not, just like afflictions is for everyone believers and nonbelievers.

I also believe that there are stress factors in marriage which will reveal the true nature of one’s character and performance in the new covenant with the Father Son and Holy Spirit.
Marriage is a covenant with in the new covenant, a very serious thing before our Father in Heaven. The covenant of marriage is to mirror the new covenant in which our LORD gave all of Himself in both life and death but namely His blood which sealed the new covenant. As in traditional marriage when one virgin was betrothed to another virgin and on the consummation of the marriage, the was the breaking of the hymen and shedding of blood.
He tells us in the Living Word that the marriage bed is holy which denotes three. Obviously in the marriage bed there is the husband and wife but Who is holy. Not even in the marriage bed but especially in the marriage bed He is God and head.
And yes there is and has always been a such thing as a perfect marriage, the Father Son and Holy Spirit.
I feel that only a warrior in Christ should marry another warrior in Christ and yes there are exceptions.
Overall, how serious a person is in their life long commitment with Christ will be revealed in marriage.
In a serious relationship with the LORD you suffer persevere grown and are rewarded ALL and only to His glory alone.
Once we marry, it’s a rebirth taking old lessons from our marriage to Yeshua, as a foundation, building a house on the Rock in our new life with our God head and our spouse.
Marriage is very dear and close to Father’s heart so He should be taken very seriously.

deadguy1040 I find that the best way to locate a good man is not that difficult: go into a church event (prayer gathering, Sunday brunch, etc), party, or preferably a public bus or Greyhound station, and I just sit there with my legs apart, sort of 'airing it out', and along comes a guy and WHAM BAM-pure fast romance.
