- Lowering springs have always been something the car community tends to dislike. After installing some Eibach springs on my car, I'm not quite sure how anyone could feel that way!!

What’s your thoughts on lowering springs? Are they a cheap way out of coilovers or do you think they are worth it if you go with a nice brand of springs?
Have you tried wide body?
I have a 17 gt and went with the prokit it’s such a better ride when you shift the car doesn’t squat anymore also when breaking gets ride of that nose dive defiantly keeping the lowering springs now just need some vertical links and we’re good to go
itsjusta6 depends on what your doing with your car and what your budget is springs are a cheap and easy way to get better handling and a lower car but if your going to the track either drag or road course coil overs are ideal because you have the adjustable for what your wanting to do..

Not everyone has tools though, lol I wish I could do my own car.... It's quite expensive to put in springs by someone else actually. I'd get my lowered for 100% if I could.

I just did my 2020 GT and it makes a HUGE difference , feels so much more powerful and the handling is super, I love it!

Those really close coils on the rear springs are what they call dead coils. On the weight of the car, they are pressed together and only the wider section of the spring is acting as your spring...but when your suspension droops they expand keeping tension on the spring as a whole so that the spring doesn't move in its perch. They don't serve any function to the ride quality of the car. Interestingly, if you find you want to raise the rear of the car just a bit (small change, nothing big) you can jack the car up and those coils will spread a little bit. Add in extra spring isolators from a company like Tein. Once you put the car back down the isolators take up a little room between the coils effectively making the "solid" part of the spring a little taller giving you slightly more ride height.

I’ve got these lowering springs right now. Have had them for about 50k miles and no problems. Switching to Pedders coilovers soon. If you ever wanna swap to coilovers, i can get you a great deal on them.

I had a 2005 Honda Civic base model with 270k on it. My step mom gave it too me and of course I didn't want to leave it stock so I looked into suspension upgrades myself and didn't want to buy $1000 coilovers because it was only worth $1500 as a whole car!! So I purchased brand new top of the line lowering springs from a Facebook ad an man they were great! Way less body roll kept the tires gripping more in Corners as well! $70 for those springs! Brand new in the box second hand best thing I bought for the car hands Down, that was my experience with lowering springs couldn't have been more impressed.

Can't go wrong with the Sportlines! Had them on my 2012 GT and it made the factory 19's look that much better. Almost tucking tire. Rode great and it handled like a slot car. Great looking car

I did eibach sport lines on my s550 and the performance pack wheels fit perfect with inch spacers all around. No scraping anywhere and the ride was better than stock!

The car is looking really nice. The glossy look from the ceramic coating is extremely impressive. You made the install look easy. Lowering springs are cool. Good option for the budget conscious. You got a lucky deal. For me 1.0" is lowering enough. I'm not big on the slammed look. Thanks for making the video and sharing.

Pro tip: when removing the bottom bolts on your strut put the nut back on the bolt a thread or 2 and hit that. It prevents you from mushrooming or rounding off the bolt you're removing which can usually be reused if you don't damage them. I know from past mistakes lol. Good stuff though brotha!

I had to switch from coilovers to lowering springs.. The stock struts make more space than the coilovers on my Subaru. So thumbs up 👍 lowering springs are just as sexy.
Now for some long tubes and x pipe!!! Huge power gain there especially when tuned!!! Also that girl is always awkwardly present in your vids! I assume shes your gf??? Yea! As other subscribers have said your intro to your videos are the best. Your Camaro intro was my favorite, but the Mustang is just as good. You make doing mods to your car look so easy. What's even more amazing your doing them in the parking lot of your apartment. LOL
That rear fitment looks beautiful. Nice meaty tires.. 0 gap. Big brakes. Clean ass wheels... That's how you do it right there. I need to get me a set of eibachs for the mx5... Seems like a good route if your not trying to drop a G on some fuckin "cheap-ish" coilovers. My car rides perfect. But it's got just a little too much gap for my taste. Worst case scenario i gotta buy some struts and shocks.

I got a set of Tein S tech lowering springs waiting to get put on. Not a crazy drop just a inch. After it settles I’m sure I’ll love the new look.
I lowerd mine with eibach springs make sure to put a bumpsteer kit for the front end since when you lower it youll feel the bumps and the steering jiggle when switching lanes on a bimpy part of the road

They have a video on here where they run their comparisons of coilovers, lowering coils and air. Air outperformed in every test, coilovers came in second. Thought it was a neat watch.

There the compromise that most people need .... I run lowering springs on my car .... previously on my car - Coilovers were too terrible to daily, even tho they were expensive coilovers .... Haven't even noticed a loss in handling .... Not noticable enough unless your running time attack

They will settle more. I have the same springs on my ride. No issues and I’m running a 20x10 rear with NT555’s 305/30/20.
