@@lukitasmol10 They become a couple in the second season, so not quite yet, maybe not ever, since this series isn’t completely accurate or factual to actual history
I'm not gonna go into details as to how but I've had a finger nail ripped off before and let me tell you that the pain is absolutely excruciating and feels like it lasts a long time. One ripped off is bad enough but more than one and I could pass out from the pain. And no, they don't always grow back!
I've never had one ripped, but I did have one fall off after being smashed in a door and that pain was worse than breaking my foot. Any moment I didn't have a soothing balm on it it felt like it was on fire, never mind the swelling. It DID grow back, but there's a weird space where the nail bed doesn't connect all the way down and it's nearly impossible to clean dirt out of it.
Another random fact: Because French was the language of intellectuals at the time, Catherine had everyone at court speaking it. French later became a lasting symbol of prestige among the Russian elite.
Peter the Emporer suspected an assassin was after him, and had everyone in the Royal Court interrogated to discover the traitor. Catherine, who is actively planning to overthrow Peter and take control as Empress, figured she'd look less suspicious to both Peter and the Court if she was also interrogated to prove she's not the traitor.
It's more of a parody of the events rather than an accurate portrayal. They wouldn't have called a woman's vagina a pussy back then either but they do in the show. Nor would they have sworn so much (the women especially). Plus Peter and Catherine actually hated each other by this point. So you see, having brown people in it is nothing to be upset about.
@@bexie1992 they used language which would now be classed as vulgar quite regularly. It was only when Victorian sensibilities kicked in that some language was frowned upon. As to the origional question, it's just racist baiting, ignore it.
Because there were some random brown people during this time.. Hate to break it too you but no court was as " eurocentric" as you think.. Maybe you should look up Gannibal Petrovich of Russia the East African Prince and adopted son of Peter the Great who helped build up Russia military and St. Petersburg.. He also happens to be the grandfather of the writer Alexander Pushkin.. Sorry bud, Brown people did exist in European courts just like some white people existed in African courts ( Mansa Musa had several Europeans in his court). SMH.. The world isnt as one dimensional as you think it is

It is such a relief though when they do grow back.

I lost one and it did grow back, but it grew back weird and a bit bumpy.

Cool
Is that Rasputin?
It’s kind of hilarious in a morbid that he looks like him though .
Agreed 😂😂👍
Couple hundred years off. But it looks like they used him as a model.
no, rasputin lived in 1900
