Denise, I am ecstatic that I found your videos. I lost my hair a year ago when I went through a bone marrow transplant, and after waiting and hoping for it to return to no avail, my hubby was the one who told me to try a wig. I was despondent and fearful that I would look terrible, (as I always had naturally wavy/curly hair that took no time to scrunch and go, in a soft red with lots of blonde highlights) but he encouraged me give it a go, telling me not to settle until I found something that felt like ME! I made an appointment with a recommended cancer wig consultant having no idea where to begin, took in lots of previous pictures for comparison and, happily, it was a fantastic experience! My tears were turned to tears of shock and joy!! I purchased two Raquel Welch wigs (one shorter and curlier, the second a bit longer and just beachy/wavy/spiky) that are a breeze to shake and wear. Thanks to your demonstrations, I also just ordered a third good wig at a big discount, solely for the purpose of a messy updo. I’m in love! As time goes by and I save up for each time, I look forward to Turn and Girl Mono, both right up my line. I have used headbands and clips and elastics in the past, and loved watching you show how to do the same with my wigs. I will have a blast playing!!! Thank you so much for leading the way for your wig sisters. Between my husband’s loving support and your openness, I have gained the confidence to embrace a new part of my life and put myself out there!!! Never stop living and learning!!!
Oh my gosh you have no idea how much I love this!!! Thank you so much for sharing a little of your story. Hugs for all you've been through, and thank God for wigs and alternative hair. THIS is why I make videos, exactly this!! HUGS!
Thanks so much hon. I love seeing updo videos no matter how many times so don't worry about being repetitive. Since my hair never grew long enough to put in an updo (at least after I was old enough to do them, Mom did until I was 11 or 12) I never had to learn to do Updos! And as always, Great video!
You are so awesome! I learn so much watching your video and really enjoy you watching you. Thank you for taking your time to teach us techniques for our wig wearing. Bless you 😊
This was great. Repetition is good. Not everyone sees every video so gives us a second chance at seeing all these helpful tips. I am not the best at styling, especially up dos, so these encourage me to keep at it. Peerless great on you.....both up or worn down. TFS 🤗💖
I just received my Peerless in Dusty Rosa & was hoping to find a video on how to put her in an Updoo. I am loving your channel. I find so much useful info👍
I legit love this one SO MUCH for updos! It is the only way I wear her and I wear her A LOT this way. Seriously... I have contemplated getting other colors and keep stopping myself knowing I don't keed multiple wigs that I wear in an updo like this when this one works so well and is holding up great (and the color is to die for!) I hope you love it!!
Denise, if I saw you out on the street, I would have NEVER guessed that was a wig. Looks very nice on you, and that color of your blouse (salmon) is very flattering on you. And, thank you for this video. I recently bought Finn by Estetica and just had to thin that puppy out quite a bit. Boy that's a lot of hair on that wig! This wig thing is STILL all so new to me even after two years! But, you are helping me along so much! Thank you!
That was so thorough and helpful! Especially the cuts with razor around hairline. I have that razor and it really is amazing. I had some cheap, synthetic extension I needed to add face framing layers to - which I am not very good at. I used this razor and the shapes that they created made the hair look like a very nice layer job rather than the stick-straight previous shape of the fibers. They just curved inwards at different levels. And thanks for that “change the blade” reminder!😜
Denise I would love a video of you using the it’s stays to Put on your wigs. I have a terrible time when I use that. I really need to watch how and we’re you apply it. Thank you so much
Auto immune issues with arthritis - me too! I have really helped my pain level by controlling it through a specialized diet. I follow the food list in a book by Steven R. Gundry. I bought "The Plant Paradox - Quick and Easy" from Amazon for approximately $10. The best money ever spent! My life has changed drastically for the better! I feel better than I did 30 years ago! Dr. Gundry has great videos also that are really helpful. It's amazing how much food we eat that is not good for us, yet even doctors tell us to eat because they are healthy - NOT. I hope you research this and get some relief too. My life has changed and I hope this helps you! God bless you!
Gosh, that is a great question! In some indoor lighting it strikes me as more of a bronde, but since I keep getting asked if I have purple in my hair my guess is that others see it more as lilac toned, lol....
I'm so glad I don't have to secure the nape because I can't figure out how to do it reliably. although in the beginning when I wasn't as comfortable or confident I definitely always worried about it riding up and showing my hair line.

This look ended up really cute. It may be the alternative I’m looking for.

Hi Denise,
Loved your video today. Really helped me figure out how to fix my wigs in an updo.
Thank You!!! It looks 👍

Looks wonderful
Thank you, Denise. I love updos. I bought the razor. It may help me punk up a pixie.
It totally will!
Very educational, it looks great.
🥰
Thanks.
My mom chipped her two front teeth in the back of them from opening bobby pins with her teeth back in the day/1960's

Thank you so much for sharing these suggestions. I will absolutely research it.
What if your wig doesn't have wefting and is hand tied closed cap. I have a BelleTress hand tied closed cap. Thanks for the tips!
What is the name of this second clip, could do with a few of these, thanks
You did a Cute updo..
I love this video...
😍
I have really wanted to try British Milk Tea because it seems so beautiful. Does it strike you more as a bronde or a lilac toned blonde/silver?
Gosh, that is a great question! In some indoor lighting it strikes me as more of a bronde, but since I keep getting asked if I have purple in my hair my guess is that others see it more as lilac toned, lol....

I'd never feel confident wearing updo, unless the nape was secured by adhesive, just below the hairline.
I'm so glad I don't have to secure the nape because I can't figure out how to do it reliably. although in the beginning when I wasn't as comfortable or confident I definitely always worried about it riding up and showing my hair line.
Two huge clips feels like too much?
