This sounds like a lovely movie!!! I am glad claymation films in general are making a nice comeback recently. Love the hard work claymation brings in media. Can't wait to watch this one.
Very random but Henry Selick is very animated himself with his hand movements and gestures. I would like to see them animate him as a character in his movies just once. Favorite movie was James and the Giant Peach.
I'm not sharing all his opinions. If I was making a stop-motion animated movie, I would want the animation to be as smooth as possibel, with no seam lines in their faces (but of course, they didn't need to look realistic).
The worst Henry Selick movie (I haven't seen Monkeybone). The film has too many concepts to develop well in an hour and a half. More than two years to take a big disappointment. As a note I give it a 4/10
Honestly I give it like a 6/10. It was very well animated and had good character designs but I really wasn’t feeling the story. It felt very rushed and like they committed to too many things so nothing got developed that well. I was expecting a cohesive and well thought out story for 1hr and 46 minutes but it wasn’t that…
An absolute HONOR to speak to the LEGEND Henry Selick. What is your favorite movie of his?
Loved Coraline.
The Nightmare before Christmas

This is a really creepy movie and left me feeling unsettled like I was fed some poison.

Maybe watch Monkeybone, you'll (probably) give this film more leeway after seeing that ????fest
