Attention to all posting in the comments section, if you happen to come across any video reguarding the our 2016 performance of Leonard's Dream that isn't posted by this channel, please report it as it is not meant to be seen on the TH-cam until our marching season is over. Thank You.
good god, no wonder I couldn't find your BOA Plano performance anywhere! been searching everywhere for it, I just had to see those mello and clarinet features one more time.
This year we will be going to the UIL State competition which is the same week as GN and since we can't be in two places at once we will not be attending this year. We will however be going in 2017.
We aren't able to go this year simply because we also have state two days after our super regional and the GN would be immediately after that and our school district policy is no more than two days absent from school for organization activities.
Well, in movement three, two banners comes out, one with a sax and one that reads in French "This is not a saxophone" referring to the artwork of René Magritte who has a painting in which the pipe is referring to itself being just a painting and not an actual pipe itself.
This in turn gave the idea to our show designer to create a banner that read, "This is not a marching band" to have a fun twist at the end of our show.
Correct. As the banner passes over the band we are no longer "marching" as the banner says "This is not a marching band" and we were told to just do whatever we could to not have any technique whatsoever. It was the best part of the show because it was the most creative as you could do whatever you wanted.
The "voice box", as we'd call it, opens in part 5 to reveal a choir. In Alvin Silvestri's music Transylvanian Horses he has a choir part and so we added our choir as an extra part to give the music one more depth of truly conveying this wonderful piece of music graciously given to us.
@@jesuspectre9883 Yes 21 heads (FMHS choirmembers) poking through cloth with surrealism art printed on it. They had head pieces that matched the image so they are hard to see. They start singing at 9:50 and continue to the end.
Our show is based off of surreal artwork from famous artists such as Salvador Dalí (3rd movement) and Van Gogh (4th movement). The show is meant to instill an interest in artistry and a fascination of making artwork come to life.
Kevin Lassberg No. Our season concludes with our performance at the state UIL marching contest. Even when the season ends I will wait at least a month or two in order to not get a copyright strike.
2015 and 2016 they win San Antonio super regionals... but they didn't take either show to grand nats. Hebron got 4th this year in sa and 3rd at grand nats, Flo mo could've won.
Hard work and dedication. Don't stop working for what you want and sooner or later you'll have it. We wanted to be a band of a quality like no other so we worked until we got there, but we still don't stop because we choose to be the best at what we do. And what we do is enjoy marching.
Hey, since this Saturday my last BOA San Antonio Super Regional, I felt that anyone who wanted a pair of gloves from a FloMo band kid is welcome to have one. However, I only have at most 3 to give, so anyone who might be interested by this please leave a comment below. Those who participate in full retreat should proceed to meet me on the front hash mark on the 50 Yard line. Thanks.
UltimateEpikness UltimateEpikness Hey that sounds awesome I would like a pair. I'll meet you at the front hash on the 50 yard line, thanks! :) (I'm a Leander Band member)
We don't. Contrary to popular belief, everything that we have prop wise is really cheap. Even out uniforms are really cheap. We have an amazing set of parents that do an incredible job of making all the artwork for basically nothing.
Believe it or not music programs aren’t swimming in cash, even the well funded programs funding pales in comparison to any high school athletic program. There are band dues that are paid by those who can afford it, and most programs constantly reuse or repurposes existing resources for the years show. There is also a ton of donations of time and resources to these programs from dedicated parents and former members, plus they work their asses off. Maybe if your band worked a little harder and smarter you’d achieve something like this, but it’s not likely because your school’s program is unfortunately full of people, well, like you.
Surreal was an eggscellent show
No
this is not a show wdym
Good god that opener gave me chills
When I hear that opener I can't help but get awestruck every. single. time.

7:40-8:02
This one really gave me the goose pimples
I was one of the singers in that box 🤣
I'm sad to hear FM isn't attending GN this year. I'm relatively sure they'd have a pretty great chance of bringing the eagle home.
We aren't able to go this year simply because we also have state two days after our super regional and the GN would be immediately after that and our school district policy is no more than two days absent from school for organization activities.
Gud one m8. That's a nice funny you made there. 😂😂😂😂💯💯💯
UltimateEpikness Oh no that stinks
We're going to state also and then immediately going to GN
So we're missing practically a week of school
Rip. You're gonna be so busy, but at the same time it's a trip you won't regret.
This video is pretty lit
Epikness, it's me Logan from Keller Central. Sup man
Hey, how ya doin. You're the guy I took a plume feather from right?
@@UltimateEpikness yup

ohhh gotcha, interesting
Also if you notice going into that last set the performers arent marching, theyre all doing something different

Can someone tell me what that opening box thing means?

Cam someone please explain the concept of their show to me please i am really confused
Our show is based off of surreal artwork from famous artists such as Salvador Dalí (3rd movement) and Van Gogh (4th movement). The show is meant to instill an interest in artistry and a fascination of making artwork come to life.
yeah
Will you be putting up a video for today's performance?
Kevin Lassberg No. Our season concludes with our performance at the state UIL marching contest. Even when the season ends I will wait at least a month or two in order to not get a copyright strike.
Well, yes, obviously. Not putting one up immediately, but eventually, more so. I should have phrased that better.
It's all good. So then yes, I will be posting the 2016 show as soon as I can.
Alright awesome. You guys looked good out there! Y'all make me a proud alum :´)

Only cause of the performance time they got. Had they gotten the later times, Hebron would have brought home the eagle.
100/100👌🏻
GG
