just look at it like this:- a green light does not mean go at any cost it means go if it is safe to do so
i would support a testing like dvla and licence for push bikes that will get the stupid retards of the road
the best tip that will save your life:- you are driving not just for your self but for others.

If you pause the playback and then use . or comma to advance or retard one frame at a time, you will see that he has a flashing white light at the front. Not massively bright, but he was using lights.

There are these things called street lights, they only came out in 1875, so they're quite new to some.
Also, you have to give way to him, lights or no lights.
and he obviously noticed him, because you could hear the car slam on the brakes at the last second, just before the bike hits him.
Highway code rule 60:
At night your cycle MUST have white front and red rear lights lit. It MUST also be fitted with a red rear reflector (and amber pedal reflectors, if manufactured after 1/10/85). White front reflectors and spoke reflectors will also help you to be seen. Flashing lights are permitted but it is recommended that cyclists who are riding in areas without street lighting use a steady front lamp.

Agreed, most people don'y realize but Its actually incredibly difficult to spot pedestrians and cyclists wearing dark clothes, street lights or not. The cyclist should have a good light AND wear high visibility clothing (goes for pedestrians too, even when walking on sidewalks)

The second clip is not the red car's fault at all, the person with the camera was being an absolute twat. There's a fucking 20 MPH sign right there and he's going at least 30, possibly more. Visibility looks incredibly poor at that crossroad, there is no way you can pull out with complete confidence that nothing is coming. That's why it's limited to 20 MPH, so you have time to react if someone does pull out into your path.

As you have Clearly noticed, there are a lot of parked cars on either side of the street.
A _Sensible_ driver would (Should) have inched out very slowly and carefully, even sounding their horn if necessary, and made sure it is safe to pull out.
C: You can't see their speedo, therefore you cannot make rash judgments on their speed, Sorry.

Car driver still purposely ran them off the road, car should have stayed where they were until the cyclist and the oncoming car had passed.

There was no time. It's entirely the car's fault. You think you can do better because it's from the relaxed position of your chair in front of your screen. If it had been a car with the cam, the one cutting off would be at fault. It's still true when it's a cyclist.

+The Grinning Skull Agreed. The cam car really needs to slow down on narrow residential streets. The red car (Polo?) had limited visibility with the parked cars on either side so was slowly edging out.
+thespiderspeed in my country (where cars are righthanded) the priority goes for who's coming from your right, if i make an analogy on UK, it goes probably for those who comes from your left thus the red polo should've paid attention. and by the way, why are some cars stationned exactly in front of the turn?
dedfed321 The red polo in this case would have to look both left and right as the road of the camera car is 2 way. However, because of the poor vision, I personally creep to show a bit of my car and slightly keep edging forward. If other cars are going too fast not to be able to stop in time, and the red polo has to take this into consideration, then they would never be able to get out of the minor road.
+dedfed321 Normally in the UK, priority would be given to the car already on the road, but in this case the red polo has limited visibility and is therefore slowly edging out to improve their line of vision. If they were to wait at the crossing until they had full visibility they would possibly be waiting all day. On saying that though the woman in the other car (that hit the Polo) was travelling on a narrow residential street with a 20MPH speed limit with parked vehicles on either side meaning she also had limited visibility. Therefore firstly she should have at least been observing the speed limit and secondly taking extra precaution when approaching the cross-road. She is lucky it wasn't a child on a bicycle.

the most frustrating ones for me is when the dashcammer can see something coming a mile off and still speed up to it, or if someone is overtaking them and they maintain speed. I know the other person is in the wrong but you can just drop back a little and still prevent an accident, you're just as bad as them doing that shit

He did not cause the crash but he could have avoided it by slowing down and stopping. The fiesta caused the crash by pulling out. Never pull out if it will cause oncoming traffic to stop.
if you can see a hazard ahead and choose not to evade it just because you "have right of way" then you're just as much to blame/more

I've noticed in all of these videos that the worst offenders are German cars, followed by Vauxhall, 4 x 4's and Volvo's.
All caravans should be banned from all roads except for the hours of 3.30am until 3.39am, all Volvo/Skoda/Belingo etc drivers should be assessed for beards, glasses, flat caps etc and should only be allowed on roads the same hours as Caravans.,
+Kram Sniggah Oi I'm a Volvo driver and I have a beard and I'm outraged that I should drive with the caravans. Maybe everyone should have a Volvo so I actually fear losing in a crash and might pay some more attention.

03:20 - perfect example of stupid "punishment" driving; you don't get SO close to another vehicle at speed, it's insane. Trying to intimidate the other driver out of the way is never right, regardless of their error.

I live in the US and not far from where I live a roundabout was put in about two years ago. Small single lane coming in at a little more than $3 million and almost a year to complete. That is another story. Any how almost every driver stops at the roundabout when there is no traffic in it.
