Here's a dam near Jeffreys Bay ... It's a big dam ... only dam still full in our area because it's artificially pumped to serve PE with water. Guys and Girls ... On any day you can catch 10kg plus carp. I had to go buy better rods and reels to be able to land the huge carp. I come from FS and am a proud "pAp gOOier" ... If you want to spoil yourselves ... come fish in the Loerie Dam. Schalk ... do yourself a favour and come here. People think I'm stupid because I live ON THE BEACH and go fishing in dams in my area. There is nothing nicer than setting up ... trying all the nice smelling mutis and baits that you take with to fish for carp ... the ground bait that you prepare to perfection ... the morning mist over the water and that first cast that makes ripples over the dam. ( Secretly you feel bad for disturbing the "oppervlak" van die water want dit was so calm en JY het dit op-ge-voeter :) ) You guys have it nice up there with a choice of places to frequent. Wish I had it here !!! BUT ... we have massive carp in our dams and IF they get onto TH-cam, you guys up there will bring your PAPGOOIER rods WITH your beach rods next time you come here. It is just normal custard powder. It creates a cloud in the water like the florescent powder does. It also helpes the dips on the ball to stay intact.
