    You're the 1st reason I recently switched to Davinci Resolve and God it's so beautifully organized and well-structured.

    Joris, man this is excellent. I've seen many of these intros to DR for beginners and they are way overdone with a length anywhere from 50 min to 2 hrs. I start them and never finish them. Yours made me feel I could actually do a great video after 14 min of watching. Okay, make that 17 min because I jumped over to your 3 min Shortcut Keys video in the middle of this one, then returned to finish this workflow. You have given me a lot of confidence here to get a video done now. Specifically, this is a great length to actually help a beginner do a Resolve start-to-finish edit. The audio segment is tremendous including enough tips to cover a lot of music options AND by utilizing keyframes painlessly. The solid color effect clips as temporary place holders for B-Roll is brilliant. The opener tip about get your A-Roll inserted first and a rough cut done is a game-changer for me, and it makes so much sense for beginners to do it that way. There is way more, and all of it good! Thanks, this will be my official guideline for simplified editing in Resolve. ⭐x5

    I wanted to try DaVinci Resolve. I downloaded it this morning. Unfortunately, it will not run on my 6 year old Dell laptop. Looks like I will have to keep searching for a video program to use on my laptop. I use Kinemaster on my phone and tablet, and it does a pretty good job.

    Hello. Thank you for your very useful video. I would just like to make one request/comment. This is for all people providing such tutorials. Could you please increase the size of your pointer/cursir and perhaps put it in a different colour? Sometimes when you are moving around the screen quickly, pointing out various functions, it is very easy for we, the viewers, to lose track of where you are and what you are painting at.
    Thank you again.
    Regards, Bob McGowan.

    Good stuff :) Wish I had it a couple of years ago, but now someone else can enjoy this quick guide to editing heaven :) Any plans of doing a follow up for Mediocre Editors? Maybe a Cut Page Extravaganza? Just started snowing again up here in Norway (so much for setting the clock to summer time), so got a couple of weeks of not doing anything but stare at the screen ;)

    i recently shot a video on my iphone & it looks great without any edit. But as i load the video in davinci it automatically changes the brightness and everything and it looks bad.
    I am not able to edit on the default raw video which was directly shot on my iphone.
    Can someone help me with this?

    • @wporchard
      @wporchard ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, can I check if you shot your video with the HDR setting turned on? If so, you can try going to the Color tab, then apply the effect called "Color Space Transform". Change your Input Color Space to "Rec.2020" and your Input Gamma to "Rec.2100 HLG".
