Drummer Boy - so there are three instruments for the feet, 2 kick drums, and 1 plastic woodblock mounted to a pedal. The hands also play 2 woodblocks and one of them is the same style and pitch as the one played with the foot, so that helps get around some of the more challenging passages. There are a number of aluminum pipes, and 2 'earth plates', and finally wood drums made by Pearl for the boxes. Does that make sense? Let me know if you have any other questions!
Awesome video and great playing! How did you delineate between the "hollow, medium, and hard" sounds on the wooden boxes? I can see that you played medium notes closer to the edge and hollow sounds towards the middle of the moleskin padding. What did you do for the "hard" sounds? Thanks!
Thank you! I just chose a center, edge, and something in between those two as the three different sounds on each of the wooden boxes - and of course you could definitely do something a lot less subtle than that, and it would be totally different with a different choice of instrument too. What did you decide on with this?
awesome
