"We're pissed and need to put it behind us" feels like this era's version of Mike Singletary's "We have to watch the tape". They haven't done anything to show they are putting these games behind them. It's the same thing every week. I'm not convinced this team is better than what they have shown.
We are the Faithful for sure and I for one am not giving up on this team for this year until they are mathematically eliminated. Until that happens they can still make the playoffs and if they make the dance then noise could be made
Kyle said on Friday that purdy isnt allowed to make any changes to the offensive play because kyle gives him one or two plays that will defeat every single defensive look/scheme. So, why is purdy scrambling so much when kyle gives him plays that account for every single possible defensive play and defeat it? Maybe purdy is the problem and not the play calling or clock management
It's one hundred percent not Brock. It's Kyle for a few reasons. The OLine sucks so bad they can't do play action effectively. Brock fakes the hand off and a free runner is in his face every single time. There are free runners on almost every single pass play. It's at the point where it's just stupid. He thinks the QB is supposed to stand there, make the throw, and take the shot. It's a shitty way to coach. The other reason this is on Kyle is his play calling sucks. The plays alone are predictable and not even scheming people open anymore. The hubris in these press conferences from Kyle to act like it's the players and not Kyle is astounding. Kyle also sucks at playing the best person for the position. The team shouldn't have to wait to play someone better when an injury happens. The better person should be in immediately. I could care less about contracts or years played. This OLine has been an issue since Kyle got here and he refuses to make it a point to get it better. It's a joke. Kyle is the biggest problem and has been for a while. Both Superbowls should have been won easily.
Kyle is too arrogant to accept that teams have figured his system out and are anticipating what is coming and defending it effectively. It is not possible to scheme away every defensive set ... that is a joke. HE needs to give Purdy more freedom. IF Purdy was a veteran he would likely just do it and let the coach be mad about it, but he is still young and likely doesn't think he can get away with it. Kyle may be the offences bigest problem; his narrow and dogmatic approach and think he always knows best. These are not attributes of great winning coaches.
There’s a difference between the look the defense gives you pre-snap and how the defense moves post-snap to take away your play. Purdy has never had a problem reading defenses or getting rid of the ball on time but sure, he’s the problem 😂
People talking about the oline? I thought we had the best wide receiver group in the nfl. Jennings is a contested catch guy and Deebo can’t run routes and even when aiyuk was in he was dropping balls. Mac Frey looks a step slow. The only good receiver is kittle
Shanahan needs to learn the rules of the game if he wants to ever win a Super Bowl. Two time outs in a row by Seattle on the same down equal a five yard penalty, and if you don't get it, you stop the game and don't punt until the refs follow the rules. Learn the game, or find another job.
