At this point the only thing keeping me watching is
1. Sunk Cost Fallacy
2. Eclipsa and Globgor’s relationship
3. The very slightest possibility of Toffee returning like the god raptor man god he is
4. And I must admit, there are some really funny moments and jokes still.
My hope is that he'll come back and potentially help defeat Mina. (He _does_ have experience fighting Solarians, after all)
That's honestly the only way this shitshow can redeem itself.

Honestly Toffee could have a legitimate reason to not want to fight Mewmans after seeing how Star and Eclipsa want what’s best for Mewmans AND Monsters. Especially with Globgor as king.
Tbh reasons number 1 and 4 are pretty much my reasons
I don't have a problem with Starco, my complaint is more with how it's happening, Star and Tom stopped dating suddenly, Marco and Kelly broke up off screen, etc. It's really to rushed, not to mention how unthreatening Mina is as an antagonist. We NEED Toffee!
Yeah Toffee and Mina are just polar opposites in terms of threat levels. Toffee scared the shit out of me when he told Moon he was coming for his finger.
I agree and disagree with the Tomstar breakup happening suddenly, but i think we can all agree with the Kellco and Mina things being shitty
I have a crazy theory about toffee, but it's too crazy that can not happen.
Basically we saw Toffee with Moon and Eclipse skulls as trophies.
That mean that was Toffe of the future, then the Toffe of present can be still alive, after kill the queens he went to the past con complete the paradoja.
Remeber he left some extrange powers to Ludo who can travel by times lines, and Mina want to destroy every monster , but if some one touch Ludos Faminly, we don´t Know what he is capable to do. if he get the wand.
Maybe the present Toffee fighted with the present Marco and was defeated, before escape to the past, that why he wanted to test him in the past , but because was too weak he called him a decepcion, but when Marco called him boring he reactioned, maybe becuse the Marco of the Future called him the same way.

Beach Day has been a thing since S1, and it's always been alluded to being a Starco thing. But that's a small photo. Considering how everyone on Earth keeps wanting Star and Marco together, the lady only taking a picture of those two keeps that gag running while keeping Tomstar alive, *that is if the writers didn't throw their work away*
Also that second episode was... something. Maybe this is their way of setting up for more content after the finale with Meteora and Mariposa as the Next Generation... *Glossaryck help us if it turns out more like the second half of Star than the first.*
I personally really liked beach day. It had a nice message and was pretty interesting idea-wise. And had some nice heartfelt moments
Eclipsa's arc is the only thing I've cared about for the past two seasons ngl

So, I have a theory about how the Finale may go. If the STORY and points set up earlier in this season mean anything, I would like to point this out. First was Glossaryck saying that killing Toffee may have not been for the best. And all Toffee accomplished was wiping out the realm of Magic and the High Commission. And I think it's fair to say his defeat and undoing of his accomplishments was the catalyst for everything that is happening now.... And we we're also introduced to a character of similar power to the High Commission whose main ability is time travel... Maybe it's a long shot cause Endgame just came out and they focused on using time travel to fix a problem, but could it be possible we go this route? I'm not saying it's a good writing solution, it is an easy out, but with how the plot is right now who can say. It's just a theory I had and I hope I am wrong. But we'll see.

The story is what got me into this show in the first place. Star had an absolutely fantastic story.
I'm upset because the writers are cramming the last moments of the show with shipping drama rather than trying to clear up some of the plot points they already established in earlier seasons.
And no, I don't hate the show.
To quote the default "angry parent:" I'm not mad, just disappointed.

Hey I understand completely how you feel with giving up on the writing and faith in the show. Honestly, I have and at this point I’m just enjoying the rest of the episodes the best I can, and thinking of seasons 1&2 as speperate from the rest of the show, just to make myself feel better. Also, despite your frustration you are still hilarious! So keep it up man!!! Also, I would like to recommend two shows that won’t disappoint:

The thing with shows is usually you can get away with writing the start and, end and, adding filler in the middle but, you can't wing the ending, you leave no room to close loose ends properly especially if it's done in a small time frame, the start you can maybe get away with but, the ending needs to be finished at least so, the audience feels something when they watch it.
Honestly, I kind of don't want Toffee back anymore. No doubt is he the best villain in the series as a whole but with how little time they have and generally how the writing is I don't want them to ruin one more of the best aspects about this show (previously.)

Yeah, I feel sorry for Kellco shippers. The Breakup Buddies thing was obviously just there to pander to them since they were obviously never going to be endgame.
@@waizardsoda It was extra insulting because Kellco was born at Lava Lake Beach, sprinkled in the background until Kelly's World, then in Kelly's World that whole episode was like Daron tied us to a chair and beat us to near death with a bat that had Kellco written on it. Multiple episodes of buildup basically destroyed offscreen after 2 episodes. I normally don't care about ships when it comes to shows but if you're gonna make it part of plot(I guess) I expect it to be handled the right way. I honestly feel like they took a poll on which ship was the most popular and did everything in their power to end whatever ships didn't win. Even if they made no sense. 🙄

So wait, if you did like the Eclipsa arc then why did you dislike season 3 that much? Was the Magic Dimension arc or the rest really that bad? I personally really enjoyed Season 3 and I think it was the best season in the show. But I definitely do agree with most points you brought up for Season 4. They really messes that up.

Season 1 and 2 were so enjoyable because the colors were just so vivid. 3 and 4 were just boring to look at.
Beach Day managed to be much better than I expected. Instead of the pathetic Starco clusterf*ck I expected we get a reflection on disappointment. They put Star through what the viewers are going through. That's META meta, man! Marco ruminating on free will! A forth wall break of the subtlest order. Maybe, just MAYBE, the writers know what they're doing. Now it's taken two weeks of mulling the damn thing over to come to these conclusions. Initially I thought they just failed at Starco like everything else this season. But what if this is the plan? String the Starco shippers along and purposefully piss off the thoughtful viewer? It's created a LOT of debate, people are talking about the show, no publicity is bad publicity, passions are running high! Starco is denied and we end up with a wacky variation of the 'Newhart' ending. Mabel Pines wakes up and explains to Dipper she just had a weird dream where she was a magical Princess from another dimension. Dipper was her best friend. Bill Cipher was some sort of Raptor god man. Calmer but still terrifying. (Surprise !). The Grunkles were both wrapped up in grandmama Eclipsa. "And you were there, and you and you!" She said, pointing at the scarecrow, the tin man and the lion. Dipper shakes his head and goes looking for the smile dip.

"Beach day" was very nostalgic, we never have seen Star so happy since season 2. and the message was nice. you can feel the hand of Daron in the guion
Daron Nefcy lost control of the series in season 3, and that's why the series lost its magic, the essence of the true , beautiful and pure friendship between Star and Marco was Broken, and Star was become in a toxic character in a toxic relationship.
But Daron said that she recover the control of the total serie for the last episodes, and you can feel the difference from "dood dood, and Brittas Tacos", there is the hand of Daron everywhere, is like everithing before was just filler.

That's one of my main fears. SU's primary story ended with Change Your Mind. And it ended fairly well.
Trying to continue the story only puts it at risk of losing quality, just like how Star lost quality after it continued post-Toffee.
Right now, Steven Universe is the prime example of how to do it *right.*
Sure, the pacing of the show was questionable at times, _but they had it all planned out._
Right now, the Star writers have no idea what they are doing, and they forgot about various major plot points because they don't plan ahead.
@@BlueOrderSo sad about star. We all can see through the episodes that they just wanted to finish off everything at once. Maybe they decided it but wasn't necessarily to demonstrate it. I've seen more reactions about these episodes and everyone is just uninterested like (another shit episode more xD). Pretty sure if SU passes through this Rebecca would notice at least the fans' reaction and would completely change the whole plot but as you mentioned, everything is overthought, prepared and if this star series doesn't end well then it's gonna be an example of how to not do the things.
