7:55 unless you are dead certain of your read, that should be a call. I'm not ruling out deaf certainty, you are good with reads. Sometimes you do just know. But when you're uncertain, that's a calling hand. You only have to catch him one time out of five to break even. I'm glad you feel justified in your time off and not apologetic. Cranking out content isn't your job, keep enjoying us and we'll keep enjoying you! I did miss you, but I survived 😅
Well played with the 10's hand, sometimes you just have to listen to your gut more but the KK no one would blame you for a call there. Good to book a win.
It’s funny how opinions change over time. When I first started watching your videos I thought they were boring. But over time I’ve come to appreciate them and your style of play. You represent a a solid player with an understanding of good poker. What I feel is boring is idiots with unlimited money playing high stakes on hustler and other programs like total nubbies pushing money in and hoping for the best.
Thanks for seeing the good in boring lol. My style is not flashy. My goal is to help low limit players enjoy the game more, winning or not losing your ass makes the game funner. I've gotten a lot of feedback over the years from people who have struggled with the game finding enjoyment again. Crazy big hands on live streams do have some Entertainment value that my vlogs don't, but I can live with that.
is 4:15 a clear fold? could be a busted flush draw (although unlikely) or JT which you beat. He could also be betting a weaker Ax although he could have some Ax that hit two pair. I suppose you lose to 75, 87, 67 which are all in his range but 75 doesn't seem like a limp call hand generally, 87 and 67 are definitely likely but there's only two combos of each suited.
could be wrong depending on how loose he is + another caller behind you but you do have 1:4 pot odds to make the call as well so only need to be right 20% of the time.
Back in the day no one folded KK pre and no one was afraid to get all the money in, and just chalked it up to a cooler if they ran into AA. Just shows how the skill level even even at 1/3 has changed. Now even aggressive maniacs can fold KK if you don’t widen your 3 and 4 bet range
AA vs KK; I think that the preflop 4bet is mandatory (despite the read), as it eliminates most other holdings that you struggled with on later streets, and also makes his 5bet validate your read for an easy and less costly preflop fold.
If you're frequently folding kings, you better be REAL sure. But you did seem real sure with this guy. Were you this sure after you saw the hand, or were you really that sure in real time playing the hand. It's close, but can't blame you for calling the 100 on river.
Great reading skills, Doug - you've obviously been listening to Zeus! Good job and welcome back!🍀😎
Thanks, Zeus was a great help

I agree 100% with your comments.
That’s how I justified the call, but I knew I was beat 😩
Deaf certainty is when you are so sure of yourself you can't even hear a contrary opinion. I'm not just trying to justify my obvious typo
I agree too.
A win is a win, 100%. well done, regards from the UK, Fraser
Thanks Fraser, getting wins have been tougher this last couple of weeks
Missed you last week. But it’s smart to take time off. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Taking time off is underrated, helps clear your mind of all those bad runouts

thanks, TT was easy to play. KK, I think I should have found the fold on the turn.
Get this man to 10k Lfg!
Welcome back! I always enjoy the videos.
Thanks, good to be back
I love your play, I have problem folding when I think I am beat. YOU SAVE so much money folding hands properly
@@JosephMcguire-h1n thanks, sometimes I fold winners too 😩
Nice job Doug wish my luck would change soon 😊
Luck is fickle, she comes and goes as she pleases.
Mr. Doug

Your fan..
River Rat 🐀
Thank you Mr. Rat, I am happy you enjoy the vlog.
Doug happy to see you pick up some cards. I would have taken a break from two weeks ago. Great Video.
Breaks are important, need time to reset my brain.
I started playing cards again and play once a week and won 5 out of the last 6 sessions. Not bad
Congrats, you are off to a great start.
@@dougmccuskerpoker the key is to not overbloat pots and call with marginal hands. Remember aces are just a pair
WIN is a WIN THANKS again
I will take it
Last week was a little setback for a big time comeback!!
I love comebacks
Missed ya. Was looking for a video from you for about 3 4 days
Sorry, I needed some time off
Welcome back!
Thanks, good to be back
like your style.keep it up 😊
Thanks, it seems to work for me at my casino.
Wow that bomb pot opponent with 93o, yikes.
He played almost every hand.
Great vlog once again!
Thanks again! I can always count on you.
Hey Doug! Welcome back!
Thanks
Good stuff! Let’s hit that 10k
Fingers crossed!
Hey I recognize Splitsuit’s and Ed Miller’s materials! You must be a fellow Red Chip Poker subscriber!
I do like their material
I raise the rive on the AQ vs A6s hand just in case he had 3rd pair...assuming he is capable of folding.
If I had less than a good A I would raise. He would call with a J or T
Good play! @@dougmccuskerpoker

Player seemed comfortable betting against 2 players, in my opinion, folding is the best.

Many nitty players ranges are so tight that folding big hands are easy. I miss the days of wild loose action from even tighter players.
Calling with kings isn’t the worst play. Sometimes you gotta keep ‘em honest.
I had a hard time finding a hand I could beat. Should just let it go against this player type.

I could 4 bet and fold to a 5 bet, I should have folded turn as played. QQ and JJ got there and AA had me all the way.
stop being harsh on yourself kk v aa , you are not a donk, just the way it goes sometimes, bud. - wc back

I’m a donk for not trusting my read, it’s amazing how often it’s right.
15 with kk not good I would bet at least 80
I try to keep my bets the same size so I don’t tip the strength of my hand.
