to me, at the end of the video, the hand reaching out of the curtain is the hand of God ready to take NF's burdens. But NF isn't sure he is ready to release those burdens.
I love that point of view. That’s something I’ll be remembering going forward
I’ve always seen it as a representation of some kind of mental health facility where everyone in white are patients who are medicated. They take the meds to get rid of the burdens but they end up seeming kind of robotic, sort of emotionless drones.
The whole music video has always reminded me of an animated dr Seuss short from when I was little called The Sneeches about the pointlessness of trying to change to fit in. But of course that’s just me

My man, great reaction.
The people in white have hope but still carry burdens. They can then wipe the fake smiles off their faces not needing to pretend their happy.
When NF is walking past the lineup it's a callback to All I Have where he has a line that says..."Lazy is not a character trait of mine, don't wait in line".
The hand at the end represents God. As Christians we're taught to lay our burdens onto God. NF does that but looks back concerned he's being judged.

He mentioned in an interview that the reason it took so long to release Hope was because of his OCD, it took him a very long time to decide on which songs etc. I'm not sure if the Clouds Mixtape is on the list, but definitely do that after the search album, he shows off a bit of his skill, he rap raps
I kinda figured OCD played a part in some things & the Clouds Mixtape is on the journey

@@RetroQuinReacts of course! I appreciate the fact that you appreciate the ‘journey’ as a concept, many reactors just think that that’s the name of the collection and that’s it. It’s called the ‘journey’ since it is long list of songs, and also because it’s the journey Nate actually goes through in life in real time, which makes it so real. It’s like we’re along for the ride as observers to his experiences and the way he expresses them. He referenced it in ‘the search’ (the song itself) when he said something like “it’s a long journey, but it’s worth it though”
Absolutely! This is by far the greatest collection of work I’ve seen from an artist and I’m not exaggerating at all. This is something special that we all get to go through together
