I'm learning this year. So I'm not upset if I mess it up. I'm trying to learn and become a great grower of all facets of weed. I'm trying mesh drying containers you hang. Next year I'm gonna by a electronic dry case for my weed. For me it's all about learning all I can. Only way to know how to do it right is to do it wrong. That way you I know what works for me in my climate and what doesn't work. Great video.
I buy tamales that come in a cloth bag they work really well for finishing up drying your bud before you put them into quart jars the cloth bags have a drawstring on the top and you can hang them in your grow room like you would any plant trimming
Happy Mothers Day to all the grow mom's out there. GT you the Man brother. Thanks for all the content and keeping it simple and congrats on hitting 50K. Wooooooooo!
Gt good day just saw a video from the company that sells grove bags in canada he said that u can reusse even if u seal the bags by heat and close the ziplock muliple times . Can even heat seal below the zip lock. First time useing them 55 % humidity love it.
These plants are one of those things that bring out greed and teach us patience 🌱 Thank you so much for the grove bags tip that an amazing time saver for us who are constantly busy! Lifesaver!!!
I ordered a 1 lb size Terploc Grove bag, off of Amazon I'm about to harvest a beautiful chocolate skunk auto from double o. I hope the Grove bag method works well! I wish I had a machine I could shove my plants into one end, and have nice dried, cured and delicious nugs come out the other!
Another great video and Grove bags do work but make your ur RH is in the range you want before sealing them lol. I had large bag that ended up smelling like hay (smoked fine) while the others were fine but they were a higher RH when they were sealed. I still like my endlessly reusable glass jars but burping 20-30 jars gets old fast.
So you're still using jars? That's all I use. I usually put them in a refrigerator. It lasts a year. Still moist and sticky as the first day. Well, maybe even better sometimes.
@@Userx4566 no sir. I've been using the refrigerator for years now. Those jars are pretty air tight. The cool temps are perfect I think. Lol.. there's more weed in my fridge than food!
i do not know how, but i seem to ALWAYS mess this part up. ALWAYS. i keep temps, humidity and some airflow correct, but for some dang reason, it keeps happening. doesnt taste great, but does still work for me. its just for me anyway, but still. i want the pfgs i have going to be right and im worried im gonna mess up my first wttgt attempt. these plants are incredible tho. wk1d1 of veg and i cannot believe how well theyre doing, ALREADY. these are gonna be BEASTS, so im really worried about messing the dry up.
Thanks for the grove bag 🎒 update. I was curious if they worked? You said they burp automatically but I wonder if you store you dried products in there if it will cause them to over dry
I didn’t trim. Didn’t cure. Got super lazy and just picked buds off the dried plants for about a month. I put some dried buds in a jar and totally forgot about them. 2 months later I found the jar and Omg the difference in flavor was incredible from just that.
My first harvest of an auto was terrible 🤦♂️ but the photo turned out great. I haven’t fully locked in with the whole dry and cure but, thanks for this free information. Through flowering the auto was dank asf but, ended up being in your words “boof” 😂😂😂 after the dry and cure. Also the flower was extremely dry 😢 and just straight up wack. Thanks for your expertise GT as always ✌️.
Great info. I will definitely check out the Grove bags. Burping a bunch of jars all the time suxs butt. Honestly, I'd rather trim(I actually look forward to it). Again, Great channel, keep growing and stay safe brother 🙏
I got my light from From Seed To Stoned, gonna use for veg tent, still gotta get my hands on some PGJ beans. My tent is almost done so will be getting them soon
Thank you for your opinion on the Grove bag I am a new grower so this is where I have a problem is curing my weed and I just bought me a bunch of Grove bags for my Harvest
What do you think about ppl who poke a hole at the bottom of the stem and put a stick inside of it the last week or 2 of flower. i guess they do it so that they plant thinks it needs to defend itself and it gives out more thc or terps?
Hey GT! - would love if you could elaborate on your comments regarding the “pop” inside of the stem, and how that should sound/feel. Are we talking like a “hard crease”? I think I know what you mean but this is the area where it seems very subjective from one grower to the next when it comes to drying. I’ve personally found if it physically & audibly snaps that it’s too dry at that point as well, however it seems the bulk of growers recommend this as a guideline. You’re the first one to mention the opposite which I find to be true as well, but I’m still learning and refining my process.
Only problem I've ran into so far even tho I'm really new to growing this amazing plant is that after I cure with and without the Grove bags everything smells like pine and mean REALLY strong pine. Just started my fifth grow and so far I haven't mess anything big up YET tho I know at some point I will, tho I only grow 2-3 girls at a time. But any idea about the pine thing?
Awesome information about harvest and curing 💚 depends on my Rh and temperature have found it useful to wet trim however I'd rather dry trim IMHO it's a craft and getting it dail in is very important, happy growing 💚 and thanks again @ GT ps happy mother's day to all the mother's hope y'all have a wonderful day.
6:32 I always thought they sort of cocooned the bud, extending the dry time. Idk, maybe I'll try half and see. Anyways, do you harvest at "sunset" or "sunrise"? And do you think there is a difference with nutrient content?
I have a problem (I think). I grow two plants, one is about a week ahead of the other, inside the same tent. One got cut the othe day and waiting for the other to be ready to cut. My question is, can i hang the one plant to start drying in the tent while the light is on for the other plant that is still growing. This is my first grow.
GT, summer temps get as high as 84-88f in my tent. RH without humidifier ranges 34-48%. Because of higher Temps should I refrain from hitting your optimal RH of 55% ?
What temp should you Have room when jars curing? My past few harvest been in a cold closet I'd say 40f in there but didn't seem to cure like normally does in the summer when it's hotter in there and I don't see any info on this anywhere
Ton of info out there on this, but I would definitely get a definite temperature reading on my cure room if you're not sure, in my personal opinion between 50 and 60° f is where you want to be for your room, hope this helps
@@MrMikeyBmore yea that what I was thinking I've been growing few years and in summer when hot cure turns out better but in winter dont seem to work but that's what I'll go for is 50 to 60. All I really see is drying Temps and humidity when I look it up.
I told my bro not to speed up the drying process. He speed dried a lot of it in the oven and i couldn't believe it but it tasted and smelled amazing still. There was 1 day he overdried a small batch and it was horrible but it seems that as long as u don't use too much heat and don't bone-dry the product it's still perfectly smokeable weirdly (although I still wouldn't do it myself)
it’s funny that i can hear this so many times from so many different growers. but yet i still can’t figure it out. been growing for 3+ years and idk what good weed is anymore. all i ever get is hay and schwag smelling stuff. is there a machine that’ll do this step for me? idc the cost cause at this point i just want something that actually tastes good.

great tips on the paper bags and different curing i am trying to use the grove bags this harvest pop thanks for this video!
The processing companies in Washington state NEED to hear this!
Eff TH-cam! I searched for this video the other day and nothing. Today it’s in suggested videos.

Hi newbie here question what if I dried too long is it bad and just toss them or it can be somewhat fixed ? Thanks love the info you share sir
I stop water 10 days before the cut and 48-72h in dark and After in 55% 16-18°c dry and curing
Can you put a portable air conditioner inside the tent to get the ideal temperature range?
Where do you buy Grove bags that you don't have to buy a large quantity??
Also adding too much worm castings can turn it to boof.
What do you mean
Is that from personal experience?
